128 Chapter 128 : Orion Vs Nick 2

Orion tightened his grip on the sword in his hand, this was none other than the Gryffindor sword, something he asked Red to bring. Not having any way to harm the Basilisk, this was the only way to kill the darn snake.

But now that he finally had the sword, he could finally go to the offensive against Basilisk and Nick. But he couldn't help but grumble at his inability to use space law to perform a lethal attack.

"Perfect timing Red, now just take care of the remaining eye of the darn snake there, that's all," Orion said as his magic was bubbling inside him.

Soon after saying this his magic started to wrap around the Gryffindor sword, making his magic make the sword blade glow with ethereal blue light. 

"After learning force, I really wanted to make something like a lightsaber just to complete the cosplay you know. But I guess this will do, " Orion said as the entire sword was now glowing with blue light, making it look much like a light sabre, he even acted like a Jedi.

Nick was taken aback, seeing the glowing sword he obviously was on guard. But again he was stronger than Orion by at least 2 levels. Thanks to his elder wand, he still had the confidence that he would win.

"Avada kedavra," he shouted, sending another deadly curse at Orion. But this time, Orion didn't dodge.

With one swing of the sabre in his hand, he deflected the curse on one side, just like how a light sabre does to energy bullets.

Normally the killing curse is unblockable, but that is only because no one knows the true nature of the attack. It's not just a normal spell but the Law of Death.

Normal magic can't block it, Orion though had wrap his space law around the sword.

"Gawk," While this was happening, Red was fighting with the Basilisk. Mainly targeted the giant snake's eye.

"Haa," Orion shouted and rushed at Nick with his sword in his hand. Looking much like Aragorn charging ahead of the army alone. 

"avada kedavra".

"avada kedavra".

"avada kedavra".

Nick in his panic, started to send multiple deadly curses at Orion. Of course, Orion kept on deflecting with his sword. 

"Clash, Clash, Clash," the sound came as each time the blade collided with the powerful curses of Nick. 

"This won't do," Orion narrowed his eyes and instantly activated his force speed, almost disappearing from his place and avoiding all the upcoming curses at his way.

This was Nick's time to lose sight of Orion. He knew that Orion couldn't teleport, as he didn't have enough magic to do so. But his speed more than makes up for it. Nick only saw a trail of Orion vanishing. He traces where Orion went but his years of hones skills suddenly come alive, and he instinctively activates the apparition. 

The next second Orion appeared where Nick was and swung with his lightsabre, only hitting air. Orion's own senses were second to no one and just after his missed sword swing, he turned around, deflecting another killing curse.

Thus the fight kept on going. While Orion started to run out of magic, Nick was running out of stamina.

"Fiendfry," Nick once again shouted, huffing as he was trying to catch his breath.

"What, he obviously spell it wrong there," Orion on the other hand was still high on stamina but was running out of juice in terms of magic.

Right now he couldn't just use another powerful magic like last time to avoid this spell. As the flames from Nick's spell rose, Orion started to knock his brain for a way out.

But he didn't have enough time, thinking this the only thing he could do was to either use more magic like last time and spend even more of his magic or dodge this spell. He has no idea how he gonna do that. 

Not knowing he ran on the opposite side to gain a little more time. Of course, the flames chase after him in the form of a giant snake. 

Orion's mind was working thousands of miles a second just when and that is exactly when he saw water on the side. 

He had no idea whether this would work or not but what choice he had. Making his mind, he lifted both of his hands and soon the water moved with the help of his force. 

Just like water bending, the water rose like imitating Orion's hand movements and came to life.

The water created a rotating water wall in front of Orion, it still cost much of his magic but still less than just a blast of fire outright.

The second the raging fire and water collided, both smoke covered the entire field. Blocking both Orion's and Nick's vision.

Before either of them tried to clear the mist, a sharp sound came which attracted both of their attention. This sound came from the Basilisk. 

Knowing that this has something to do with Red and Nick not removing the mist. Orion acted.

He wasn't able to see but he could sense his surroundings. This with him knowing where Nick was standing gave him the perfect opportunity to rush at the Slytherin.

Nick seeing that he lost sight of Orion, immediately created a shield around him. But nothing happened. He contemplated and finally removed his shield to dismiss all the mist around him. 

"Zoop," 

The movement all the mist disappeared, and his eyes went wide. Becuase Orion was just in front of him. 

He immediately wanted to use apparition but found that space this time not wrapping around. He didn't have much time to try again and only could raise his hand to shoot magic at Orion. 

But Orion's speed suddenly increased and he didn't attack him but rather grabbed his own wand hand and raised it up, like usually people do with someone holding a gun.

Only once he got a good grasp on the elder wand, Orion was ready to attack. Not having enough time to punch as Nick could use some sort of magic to get his hand out, Orion quickly launched his force attack. Like a witcher he made a sign with his other hand which was close to Nick's abdomen and blasted a powerful attack at him.

Throwing Nick 3 to 4 meters back. 

'That for hitting me on the balls,'

Looking at his hand, Orion saw Nick's Elder Wand and smiled. 

"Without this, he will be easier to deal with," Orion said with relief. And then when looking at Nick, he saw him struggling to wake up.

Now was the time, seeing he had a clear shot, he pointed his wand at Nick. He could have ended this right here. He also looks back at the basilisk. It was burned by phoenix fire. At making sure that the darn snake is down.

[So finally the time came. What will you do? Will you kill.] Merlin who was absent all this time suddenly appeared out of nowhere like the ghost he is and asked.

Orion didn't give him much attention, but the question which Merlin asked was the exact thing which he was asking himself. 

Should he directly kill Nick and end this? Or he shouldn't? 

Honestly, he wanted to just end this and kill the guy but... 

[I knew you don't have what it takes kid. Here is a simple reality which you are refusing. You might be strong but you don't have what it takes to actually kill. Maybe because this time it's a human who stands against you,] Merlin said. There was no mocking in his tone just facts.

"No," Orion almost shouted to himself. He knew that if he didn't kill today then no matter how much power he had in the future, he would remain weak.

Nick who wasn't moving was at the tip of his own elder wand but it was in Orion's hands. He wasn't moving but there was no tension on his face for some reason.

Orion tightened his grip around the wand, the action almost felt foreign to him but that didn't matter. Slowly pouring his chakra inside the wand, a small red orb was created on the tip of the wand.

He was wrapping space, something which he couldn't do all this time after training for months, he was doing it. His best guess was that it was either that a wand was helping him or it was the elder wand which was special.

Merlin on the side nodded. The boy finally has made up his mind. He still didn't want to, Merlin could feel it but that was a good thing. Wanting to kill is even worse than not being able to kill. As long as he can kill without the desire of it. 

"I honestly don't want to kill you, Nick. But you have left me no choice. " Orion said and shot the powerful buildup magic like a bullet at Nick. He wanted to ask him many questions but he couldn't. He is not in a position where he can give more time to Nick to again pull something crazy. He was already running low on Magic.

"Snap" but at this time just the moment the magic left the wand. The magic went against Orion's will. Sending a backslash at Orion. Sending him flying back. Orion still didn't let the wand go. But his hand was burned.

Nick smirked at this, Orion's move right now might be okay with other wands but not his elder wand. He is the master of that wand and there is no way that anyone can use his wand to harm him. 

So when Orion's intent to do just the same, the magic backfires. But Nick was still dissatisfied. If only Orion had used the killing curse, it would have killed him. Nick could say that even after getting hurt Orion is still alive.

"Haaa" Orion groaned with pain as his hand was burned and twisted at an unnatural angle. Merlin on the side facepalm. In his musing of what Orion will choose. He almost forgot to tell him that he couldn't use the elder wand.

Sharp pain rang throughout his body but still knowing that he was in front of an enemy he shakily stood up. His ears were ringing but he still heard some strange words from Nick.

Something like...

Orion eyes immediately widen as he looks back. The Basilisks were standing right behind him. Both eyes were destroyed. It couldn't see anything but...

Orion realizes that Nick was giving the basilisk instructions where he was. And soon enough. The giant snake swung its tail at Orion.

One hand was already badly injured, and Orion didn't plan to block at all. With all this power, he jumps up, easily beating any normal human's record by miles. 

But just then, something happened, it was like a sense of danger he usually gets after he absorb that giant spider. Similar to spider-sense but still very different. It doesn't always work right like how earlier he didn't feel any danger when using the elder wand. 

But now he clearly senses the danger. He looked back in an instant, still mid-air only to see Nick take out another wand, his everyday use wand and send another powerful spell at him.

"Shit," 

He can't deflect this curse mid-air with just his hands. Quickly he summons his sword and hastily puts it in front of the upcoming attack. And upon contact, he was blasted right back. At least the curse didn't directly hit him.

[NO WATCH OUT] Merlin shouted in panic. 

Orion didn't even have time to comprehend what Merlin said when he saw the Basilisk giant mouth open to swallow him the whole.

There was no time, the only thing he could do now was to erect a half barrier around himself.

[ORION].....
