126 Chapter 126 : Against The Basilisk

Nick said something, something which he didn't understand but that mere fact was enough for Orion to know Nick wasn't talking no to him. And who else could be there besides those two except the basilicks?

Orion's strong senses caught the movement happening behind the giant face of Salazar Slytherin. He did not waste any time, immediately he took the potion which he prepared and drank it. As soon as the potion entered his throat his magic reacted and his blue azure eyes turned golden. Depicting that his eyes are protected from any sort of magic transfer through them.

He had many things he wanted to ask Nick, many questions whose answers he wanted to get but as the mouth of the Salazar opened he saw two yellow daggers-like eyes glaring at him.

At that moment he put everything aside, he had to take care of this snake first. And as soon as possible becuase sooner or later Nick might also join the battle if he sees his plan is not working.

And Orion was right at this, as Nick who was hiding in one of the pipes with special magic concealing his presence was surprised at how Orion was able to face the Basilicks in the eyes.

He was hiding for two reasons, one becuase he didn't want to get close to Orion. Orion's speed was enough to turn the tables against him and second, was of course so that he could sneak attack Orion when the time was right.

He fully knows that Orion is not strong enough to harm the Snake but he is fast. Fast enough that he can dodge all of Basilicks attacks. Thus Nick wanted to target Orion from a distance.

Orion didn't wait for the damn snake to completely come out, taking out two small stones from his belt, he threw it masterfully towards the giant snake whose mouth might be twice as big as his own body. Thanks to his force the stones directly landed on top of the Basilisk's head.

"Flash,"

A dazzling light shone making the basilisk stop at the short-term eye side lost. Orion was absolutely serious this time around. With activating his force speed, he zooms towards the enormous snake with a dash.

"Red is late," Orion mutters to himself with a complaining tone.

As for not having any particular powerful way to kill the basilisk, he can stop the snake here until he is ready.

Taking out a potion, he threw it at the open mouth of the Basilisks. Pretty easy with his force.

On the side, Nick who too didn't want to waste any time and just went for the kill, raised his elder wand to fire a killing curse at the Gryffindor boy but before he could do that, Orion all but teleported from there and appeared right in front of the Basilisk. In his hand was some kind of potion, it was hard to tell from this distance.

'He is much faster than the last time,' Nick almost cursed as he saw Orion throwing something at the Basilisk's mouth.

He didn't know what it meant, but he didn't like it, he was kind of bunking on Basilisk's ability and restricting Orion's field of view. Giving him the right opportunity to Kill Orion.

The potion which Orion threw at the Snake immediately took action, it was no potion but a powerful acid. Something which can corrode even metal.

SHAAAAA...

And then followed the painful screams of the Basilisk. Orion didn't wait and waste any time, after accomplishing his first objective which was to make the giant snake temporarily immobile, he went for Basilick's eyes.

Taking out yet another stone from his belt, started to run behind the Snake. due to pain, the big snake was vailing and throwing a tantrum. Making both Orion's and Nick's job hard.

Orion had to dodge the Basilisk's tantrum while Nick was having a hard time sniping at Orion.

Long-distance spell casting is already a hard thing considering spells are not like bullets, and it gets harder to to maintain the spell itself.

But again the distance wasn't the real problem, they were not that far apart after all. The real problem was Orion was constantly moving.

'Come on you overgrown snake, stop for a second will ya,' Orion complains internally. He kept on dodging the attack while waiting for the right time to act. And as the time came finally the snake who was veiling in pain opened its eyes.

And just a second later, an ordinary stone came right into its eye. But it was no ordinary person who threw the rock. The rock was enhanced with magic and broke the sound barrier. Like a bullet, the rock filled with mana collided with the snake's eyes.

Snap.

With a tearing sound, one of the eyes of the Basilisk was destroyed and only left a roaring snake in pain.

"T...That cheating," Nick almost choked on his words.

Orion kept on moving going for the next eye, but just when he was about to move on, he saw a powerful killing spell rushing at him, thanks to his instincts he by a simple flick of his hand was able to redirect the upcoming attack towards the snake, and to his disappointment there was no damage.

Frowning he looked where the attack came from, only to see another attack coming at him at this time. With a fast reaction, he side-stepped to dodge the upcoming green light and extended his hand to throw a powerful force blast of his own.

But again to his disappointment, his magic never connected as it dispelled upon coming to the contact of the person in the shadow.

"So, you finally shown up," Orion narrowed his eyes and got ready, from this point onwards the fight is going to be 2 on 1 and this will be troublesome for him.

Gotta say, I imagine this fight going in many different ways, but not matter how weak Orion is power wise, he really make it up with his speed. At least to most extend. So I will stand with my earlier estimation, as long MC is not fighting 2 enemies, he got a chance.
