Louis XVI, once King of France until his execution in 1793 during the aftermath of the French Revolution, is unexpectedly reborn — not in his own world, but within the magical realm of Harry Potter. Reincarnated as a child in a pure-blood wizarding family he had ennobled in his former life, Louis gradually awakens and quickly adapts to this strange new world of spells, potions, and hidden power. As he grows, he begins to master magic while subtly weaving himself into the fabric of the original story, leaving his mark on a world that knows nothing of kings — but may soon learn
In 1789, the French revolutionaries overthrew the absolute monarchy and instituted a constitutional monarchy (a monarchy in which the king retains certain powers but is subject to a constitution). After an attempt to flee to a neighboring monarchy to reclaim his kingdom, Louis, our main character, and his family were imprisoned, judged, and executed in the public square. Our story begins just before his execution and plunges us into the French revolutionary period.
