--------------------------------

As for Hermione... she was tired! Her mind was in a mess, and her whole body felt confused. She couldn't explain it at all. In all fairness, even she knew that the scene of Kael accepting Slytherin's allegiance felt wrong—like a reenactment of the Dark Lord's rise. Just like him, Kael had already begun to form his own group at such a young age.

But when those Slytherins left, for the first time, they gave her smiles that were seventy percent friendly and thirty percent flattering. In spite of herself, a small sense of joy crept into her heart.

Meanwhile, at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, snow had fallen the night before, leaving the entire Hogwarts castle blanketed in white. The temperature had plummeted, yet the cold failed to extinguish the curiosity of the young wizards. As soon as class ended, many of them rushed to the forest's edge to catch a glimpse of the Ice Crystal Phoenix, Anivia, who had turned into an ice sculpture and fallen asleep.

"Oh, move aside, move aside!" Hagrid came dragging himself through the snow in a thick leather jacket, drawing a line a dozen meters away from Anivia. "Listen up! No one's allowed to cross this line, or I'll tell Dumbledore!"

He had been specifically instructed by Dumbledore to maintain order. Anivia was not Fawkes—she was a phoenix that truly commanded the power of ice and snow, with terrifying lethality. If provoked, the consequences could be dangerous.

After ushering the curious students back, Hagrid stayed, gazing at Anivia in awe. What an amazing creature! Made entirely of ice, yet she could move—and even change the weather. Compared to Anivia, Hagrid's previous obsession with fire dragons seemed insignificant.

"Move! Out of the way!" came the sound of Draco Malfoy, pushing through the crowd with Crabbe and Goyle at his heels. They shoved the younger students aside, clearing a path for Malfoy.

The trio reached the line drawn by Hagrid and crossed it without hesitation.

"Wait! You can't go there. All students have to stay outside the line!" Hagrid tried to stop them.

"Can't go in? Are you trying to stop me?" Malfoy sneered. "My father's on the Hogwarts board of governors!"

"No, not even the governors can disobey Dumbledore's orders…" Hagrid mumbled, though he didn't stop them outright. In front of students, he wasn't permitted to use magic.

"Hmph!" Malfoy dismissed Hagrid's warnings and walked directly toward the Ice Crystal Phoenix.

"Malfoy, are we really going to do this?" Crabbe hesitated. Both he and Goyle had recently handed over their pocket money to Kael, and now they found themselves dragged by Malfoy to antagonize Kael's magical pet.

"What? Are you scared? Stop being ridiculous—it's just an ice sculpture. Besides, this is Hogwarts; the phoenix wouldn't dare harm us with Dumbledore around. If it does, my father will make sure Dumbledore is thrown out!"

Malfoy picked up several stones and threw them at Anivia, muttering as he did, "Go to hell, you ice sculpture! I'm going to smash you!"

Sensing Malfoy's malice, Anivia emitted an invisible wave of energy. The previously dormant magic in her body began circulating once again. The temperature around the castle, which had just started to warm up, plummeted sharply.

"Oh look, she moved!"

"Malfoy's gone too far…"

"This phoenix is real—it's not just a sculpture!"

The students behind began whispering excitedly as they saw Anivia stir.

"Stand back, boys! Quickly, everyone back!" Hagrid shouted, herding the young wizards farther away. Even he felt the oppressive power radiating from Anivia.

"Chirp!"

Anivia's cry echoed through the air as she opened her eyes and stared coldly at Malfoy, who was about to throw another stone. Malfoy froze in place, terrified, but then tried to cover it up with bravado.

"You stupid big man, do you want to—"

Before he could finish, Anivia let out another cry, and a gust of snow engulfed him. Malfoy was instantly frozen into an ice sculpture.

Afterward, Anivia cast a glance at the remaining students. Sensing no further malice, she curled up once again and went back to sleep.

All the students stood in shock.

"Oh, Merlin's beard, that's terrifying."

"She just froze him into an ice sculpture—what kind of magic is that?"

"Is Malfoy dead?"

"No, no, look—his eyes are still moving!"

Freezing someone into an ice sculpture was terrifying enough, but the real shock came when the students noticed that Malfoy was still alive, his eyes moving beneath the ice. It required immense magical control to freeze a person without killing them.

Crabbe and Goyle, meanwhile, had backed away before the freezing occurred. Now, they exchanged glances.

"What do we do now?" Crabbe whispered, thankful for his foresight. Both of their families were long-time vassals of the Malfoy family, but now Malfoy had attacked Kael's pet.

"Let's hurry and tell Kael! Malfoy dared to provoke his phoenix—it's outrageous!" Goyle said urgently. Crabbe's eyes lit up, and without hesitation, they ran to the library, eager to inform Kael of what had happened.

Crabbe and Goyle are just dumb they are not fool, It's was clear who is strong and who is weak! and just like that Crabbe and Goyle, who had the best relationship with Malfoy, were gone.

The other students, however, stayed behind, too entertained to get involved.

. . .

While chaos brewed outside, Professor McGonagall rushed to the scene, alerted by the commotion. She hurried through the gathering crowd of students, her sharp eyes immediately finding Draco Malfoy, frozen solid in the center of it all.

"Merlin's beard! What happened here?" she gasped, her usual stern composure briefly breaking. Without a second thought, she cast a Levitation Charm on the ice-encased Malfoy and hurried him towards the school infirmary.

Meanwhile, on the second floor of the castle, a figure watched the scene unfold from a high window. It was the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Quirinus Quirrell—his gaze unusually focused and intense. A faint, eerie voice echoed inside his mind, one that did not belong to him.

"Interesting…" the voice whispered, its tone calculating. "A phoenix, and one that wields such terrifying magic."

"Master," Quirrell stammered softly, his lips barely moving. "Is this phoenix… powerful?"

"Powerful?" Voldemort's voice responded, hidden in the back of Quirrell's head. "Perhaps. But it's not the phoenix itself that intrigues me. It's the path it has chosen, one that I have never seen a creature take before."

"The path?" Quirrell murmured, puzzled. But before he could question further, Voldemort's voice grew sharp.

"Enough of this, Quirrell! My magic is weakening. You must go to the Forbidden Forest and hunt the unicorns… or face the consequences."

"Y-yes, Master," Quirrell answered hastily, trembling at the thought of another punishment. The memory of his last failure still lingered, a suffering far worse than death.

Back in the principal's office, Professor McGonagall stormed in, clearly upset, interrupting a conversation between Dumbledore and Professor Snape.

"Albus, I need a word with you immediately!" she declared, her voice firm but laden with concern.

"Oh, Professor Snape you're here" McGonagall said after seeing that snape was also there.

"Yes, Professor as you can see!" Snape said slowly and respectfully as much as he can, As Professor McGonagall was already a teacher at Hogwarts when he was in school.

"Severus here, came to ask me for some funds to buy ingredients for potions, Otherwise our students would have to learn pure theory in Potions class." Dumbledore explained.

Hearing this, Professor McGonagall glanced at Dumbledore in surprise. If she remembers correctly... Snape's office should have been stockpiling plenty of ingredients for potions.

Forget it, now is not the time to worry about this.

"Minerva, so to what do I owe this—" Dumbledore continued, but she cut him off.

"Malfoy has just been frozen into an ice sculpture by that phoenix! This cannot happen again. You're far too lenient with that boy, Kael!" she exclaimed, pacing in front of Dumbledore's desk.

Dumbledore sighed deeply, rubbing his forehead as he often did when things were getting out of hand. "Yes, I've heard about that incident…"

Professor Snape, standing quietly beside Dumbledore, finally spoke. "Professor McGonagall, I have just come from the infirmary. Malfoy's injuries aren't life-threatening, but he did provoke Kael's phoenix first by throwing stones at it. The phoenix acted in self-defense."

McGonagall's frown deepened. "Regardless of who provoked who, Albus, we cannot allow a magical creature with such destructive power to remain here. What if a student is seriously harmed next time?"

Dumbledore smiled gently, as if anticipating her concerns. "Minerva, I understand your worries. But we must be careful not to overreact. This phoenix is not like Fawkes, true, but she is intelligent. Anivia knows who to trust and who to defend against. Malfoy was in the wrong."

"Even so," McGonagall countered, "Hogwarts is supposed to be a safe place for all students. Letting a dangerous creature roam freely—especially one under the command of a student—is simply asking for trouble."

"Minerva, trust me," Dumbledore said, his voice calming but firm. "Kael is not another Tom Riddle. He is different."

"Different?" McGonagall asked, her tone skeptical.

"Think about it," Dumbledore explained. "Can you imagine Tom Riddle wielding Gryffindor's sword? Or having a phoenix, a creature of light and purity, willingly follow him?"

McGonagall hesitated. The comparison between Kael and Voldemort had always nagged at her, especially given Kael's ambition and skill. But she had to admit, Dumbledore had a point. Despite Kael's affiliation with Slytherin, his actions, while unorthodox, did not mirror the dark and twisted path of the Dark Lord.

"Perhaps I've been too harsh," McGonagall admitted reluctantly. "But it's just that—Kael's power—it reminds me too much of Voldemort's early years. As teachers, we have a duty to guide our students in the right direction."

Dumbledore nodded, understanding her concerns. "I promise, Minerva, I'm watching Kael closely. He has great potential, but we must nurture it, not stifle it."

Snape, who had been listening quietly, chimed in once more. "As Head of Slytherin, I will speak with Kael. He'll write a essay on self-reflection, and Anivia will be kept under closer watch. But let's not forget, Malfoy provoked the creature." He said and left immediately.

McGonagall, still unsettled, let out a sigh. "I suppose. But we must tread carefully, Albus. Hogwarts has seen enough tragedy in recent years."

"Agreed," Dumbledore said, his eyes twinkling once more. "Now, how about we share a cup of tea, Minerva? I'm sure it will calm the nerves."

McGonagall finally managed a small smile, though concern still lined her face. "Perhaps you're right, Albus. Perhaps you're right…"

After calming down, Professor McGonagall also realized that he had made a big deal out of a molehill. After all, it was Malfoy who provoked the Ice Crystal Phoenix first.

She was so worried because ...

To put it bluntly, it was Kael's talent and the academy he came from. He was too much like Voldemort, Just like in the Muggle world no teacher will ever feel good that a student he had trained become a world-class terrorist or gangster. On the contrary, every time they think of the students not following the right path, they feel heartbroken. Professor McGonagall's heart was similar. She was afraid that Kael would chose the path of a Dark Lord.

"Are you worried about Kael becoming a second Tom?" Dumbledore said after some time.

"Don't worry, Kael is very different from Tom!" Dumbledore began to persuade Professor McGonagall.

"Just think of it, can Tom draw Gryffindor's sword which can only be drawn by someone who truly embodies the virtues of Godric Gryffindor daring, nerve, chivalry and will Tom ever be so full of light that the phoenix will follow?"

"Although both of them are from Slytherin, But this kid Kael, in less than a week, has already hung his classmates from the ceiling twice." McGonagall said

"Yes, He is at odd with the Slytherin students but that doesn't mean he will follow in the footsteps of Tom." Dumbledore said.

"Okay, it's getting late, how about we go have dinner together? Also Don't worry, I have been paying attention to that child."
