Harry stood in the great hall amongst the other first years waiting to be sorted. Even without being the boy who lived, he is still the centre of attention as he is literally standing out amongst first years by looking like he should instead be in his sixth year.

Harry's tall stature is causing a lot of whispering and pointing from the Hogwarts students and some of the staff. He stood alone because even his siblings have abandoned Harry to be with their new friends.

Charlie is with Neville and Ron as the three boys are talking about the sorting ceremony, based on the nervous look on Neville's and Ron's faces his brother is obviously messing with them by making the sorting seem like some life or death trial.

Rose is with her friend Susan and surprisingly Hermione, when did these two get so close? Susan and Rose seem to be nodding along as Hermione enthusiastically talked about all the stuff she read about the castle.

All of this attention is placed on Harry because people think that his matured body is a case of Magically Accelerated Maturity (MAM). Due to their stronger soul, a magical child mentally matures far faster than a muggle child, that's why even eleven-year-old magical children can come to Hogwarts to learn magic for most of the year and live here on their own without needing their parents.

But with a case of Magically Accelerated Maturity, a magical child matures faster both mentally and physically due to their particularly powerful magic. There are only five confirmed cases of MAM in the entire wizarding history and the most renowned example of MAM among those five is Merlin himself. Slytherin is also speculated to be a case of MAM but it was never confirmed.

Due to the enhancement rituals, Harry's body mirrors the effects of MAM perfectly. The birth of twins is already rare in the wizarding world but the birth of triplets has its own special meaning and is considered as a good omen by the entire magical community. So being a part of a triplet and then adding MAM on top of that has caused this entire mess for Harry.

As Harry was getting used to all the whispering he got the biggest surprise of the night, as Professor McGonagall is giving the welcome speech his mother walks in from the door behind the staff table just as the Transfiguration professor announced Lily Potter as the new teacher for Muggle Studies and assistant professor for charms under Professor Flitwick.

If it wasn't for his occlumency Harry's jaw would have been on the floor right now as he watched his mother take the seat at the staff table next to the short charms professor. Just when Harry thought that he would be out of sight of his sweet, caring and just a tiny bit overbearing mother life smacked him right in the face. Seeing that his siblings are also frozen in shock at least he is not stuck in this nightmare alone.

What kind of hell is this? He already has to deal with Snape as an assistant professor for Potions under Slughorn, then there his uncle Remus who has been the assistant professor for DADA for the past three years under whoever is unlucky enough to get the cursed position as DADA professor and now his mother is also here in Hogwarts.

Slughorn once again took the position as the head of the Potions department and Slytherin House after Voldemort's death in this timeline and his uncle Remus has been teaching in Hogwarts for the past three years and also looking after the werewolf students that are now officially allowed to attend Hogwarts due to his efforts.

While Harry is still getting over the bomb that his mother dropped on his head the sorting ceremony already started. Harry didn't really pay attention to the sorting until Charlie was called to the sorting hat. His brother is quickly sorted in the Gryffindor in record time.

Harry cleared his head and made his way to the sorting hat as his name was called out by Professor McGonagall.

Harry felt the hat peek into his mind as soon it touched his head. Even with his powerful occlumency the hat could bypass all of his mental defences like they are not even there. This is the power of a magical artefact that is touched by magic, no amount of mental defences can stop the sorting hat from looking inside your mind.

But the more powerful a magical effect or artefact seems the more restrictions it has to actually work. The sorting hat doesn't really look at your memories but examines your true character, even if the hat sees some of your memories it forgets all of them as soon as it leaves your head.

The Hall of Prophecy in the Department of Mysteries also works based on the same principle. While the chamber records all of the prophecies but the only person who the prophecy is actually about can lift that particular prophecy and no one else.

"Interesting!...very interesting. You somehow have a very developed mind for someone so young. You have a good mind but a thirst for knowledge is not what drives you so Ravenclaw is out" Harry heard the Hat's voice in his head.

"You don't make friends easily and you are not one to rely on others, so Helga's house is clearly not for you. While you have soo much courage and bravery flowing out of you that it borders on crazy but somehow that courage has been tempered by the flames of loss and caution that it has transformed into ambition and purpose. So Gryffindor is also out which means that only one House remains for you" the hat continued.

"No! No no not there, anywhere but there" Harry mentally pleaded to the hat but before he know what was happening the sorting hat announced loudly to everyone "Slytherin"
