[Chapter Size: 1900 Words.]
Third Person POV
Diagon Alley.
...
...
Snape walked while hiding his bag inside his black, hooded cloak, traversing the streets, which were not as crowded as Diagon Alley. There were far fewer people here, all wearing different hoods, hiding their faces like Snape as they moved about, entering and exiting shops.
Snape could see the shops built in a more discreet manner, but carrying quite expensive and hard-to-get products that were available here without any permission from the ministry, only requiring the right price, which was much more expensive.
Snape still had plenty of money due to earning 2,000 galleons from the last two baldness potions he sold to Professor Slughorn's friends.
He was thinking about selling his potions that he had created here, as soon as he discovered this place, where he could hide his identity. Although earning less money, he would gain security, as here they would not ask who created the potions or even how he obtained them.
Snape walked, noticing some hooded individuals looking at him as he continued down the streets, and headed for a shop that caught his interest due to the ingredients on display.
He entered the place, where a house-elf was cleaning. "Hm? A customer...?" The house-elf looked at Snape curiously.
"Are you the one who will serve me?" Snape raised an eyebrow at the creature, who quickly shook its head.
"No, Mr. Customer, my master will do that, but I need to know if you are here to buy something, before I notify him." The elf spoke, and Snape nodded.
"I'm interested in buying some ingredients and even selling some of my potions, can you call your master?" Snape asked as the elf simply snapped its fingers, then disappeared.
He reappeared while a person appeared behind him with a pop, an elderly man, looking at Snape cautiously. "You are too young to be here on business..." He spoke, not taking his analytical gaze off the boy.
"I want to sell some potions, do you want to look? I'm also interested in buying your ingredients." Snape said as the man looked at him for a few more seconds before nodding and heading to the counter.
"Place all the potions here, but let me warn you, don't try to deceive me. I deal with clever folks every day and I was once a potions master before my title was revoked by the ministry..." He spoke in a stern tone, this man had gotten involved with illegal activities and had chosen to live a hidden life here in the black market dealing with buying and selling ingredients and potions.
Snape nodded while filling the counter with his potions, potions for curing poisons, liquids that were filtered ingredients for more powerful potions, he even had potions for curing diseases and curses.
"Hm... this is really interesting..." The man said, looking at the first liquids, satisfied with the quality. He was curious to ask who created those potions for the young man with the hood, but he did not ask that question, due to it being quite unethical for that place.
After viewing more than 80 potions, he nodded satisfied, "I'll give you 3,000 galleons," he said. Snape thought for a bit; he knew these potions would generate a profit of four times that value, but he didn't have time to sell them in the coming months and could make more of them.
"Alright, I want some rare ingredients from your store like phoenix tears and dragon heart." Snape requested.
"Phoenix tears I might get, but dragon heart is not something we can just obtain; I haven't seen it for over ten years... you know how hard it is to kill a dragon, boy?" The man spoke with a stern tone, and Snape shrugged at that.
"Just get me what you have from this list." He pulled out a sheet with rarer ingredients as the man gathered what he had in the store, lacking some.
"It will cost 2,000 galleons for the items you want here, do you still want them?" He asked, and Snape nodded despite the inflated price, as he would not be able to get these items in Diagon Alley.
After receiving the thousand coins from the seller with the ingredients, he left the shop. The old man had passed some information about the sale to the house-elf, and Snape noticed he was being followed by two people as soon as he left the shop, but continued on his way until he found a bookstore, with books even rarer than what he had purchased.
He was attended by a somber older woman, who served him rudely, but did not ask anything further. He began looking at some books that he might find in the restricted section, many of them about curses and even dark arts, but they were not the best ones, as the great families possessed those books.
He picked a few that caught his attention, dealing with space-time and other more obscure potions, things that could put him in a bad situation if caught.
He continued picking up these books and spent 1,000 gold coins, while the woman seemed unfazed by this amount, as she always received numerous wealthy clients here.
After leaving, Snape had spent more money this day than the boy had in his entire life, and noticed people following him once again. 'These guys are a nuisance, let's finish them,' Snape thought as others saw this and thought Snape was unlucky as he entered an alley followed by these two people.
"Where is he?" One asked as soon as they couldn't see him, with the place being empty as soon as Snape entered.
"He must have used Apparition," his friend said.
"But it's impossible to use that here!" He exclaimed.
"Who knows..."
They were about to rob Snape, as soon as they saw him entering the place, after all, he seemed to be looking around as if it was his first time there, making him an easy target for them, especially since they entered as Death Eater recruits, serving the new Dark Lord. They could commit crimes freely as long as it was not against the powerful wizarding families.
"I'm right here." Snape suddenly spoke as he fell from a height he had jumped to deceive those people, and before they could react, Snape kicked one of them, sending him crashing into the wall and cracking it with his brute force.
While the other tried to act quickly, casting a very fast Cruciatus Curse at Snape, but he turned his body and dodged. Snape drew his wand from his inventory and aimed at the man, casting the same spell, as he too mastered some of the Unforgivables, even at only 16 years old, Snape was a genius even before his death.
But what he didn't expect was what would happen next. When the power of the Unforgivable Curse was unleashed, he didn't care to regulate the amount of magic used for the spell and this caused something completely different from normal; a giant explosion of green lightning burst from Snape's wand as the dark wizard who had attacked widened his eyes before being blasted with the full force of Snape's lightning out of the alley, flying through the black market and exploding into another building as he was completely destroyed.
"What is this?!!" The people who were still circulating in the streets stopped immediately as the whole place trembled with that attack.
"That was an Unforgivable!!" Someone exclaimed from under their cloak as they ran away.
"Whoever cast that Unforgivable, generating that much force couldn't be just anyone!" People exclaimed as the building began to be destroyed; the man hit didn't even have time to suffer from the curse, as he was vaporized by a spell that wasn't even an attack spell the next moment.
Snape was still in the alley, but he was also extremely stunned by it. He had never released a killing spell since he had arrived in this world, and seeing the magnitude of that power had left him surprised.
"How can I generate so much power?" he murmured, still not understanding. "Did the system give me this, or something?" he wondered as he saw another man he had kicked lying on the ground.
He waited to see if anyone else would appear in that alley, but he couldn't imagine how frightened people were on the streets of the black market after he unleashed the power of death.
"A spell like that could only be from the Dark Lord himself," someone complained, and this scared everyone even more with this idea, even those who were followers of Voldemort's ideology, did not want to appear before Lord Voldemort in such a manner.
Snape picked up the body and started carrying it to the other side of the alley. He didn't bother waking the man up and took his wand, carefully this time, he cast "Imperius" using little magic on the man who quickly woke up with green eyes.
"Well, let's get started," he murmured. It was an opportunity for him to receive information directly from this war firsthand, so he would interrogate this man.
After some time, he exited through the other side of the alley, while people still seemed frightened, running through the streets or keeping their distance from the alley as some wizards were fixing the building he had destroyed, looking for any bodies at the scene, but Snape had completely destroyed it, now possessing two more wands, after casting a spell that they could not be found.
Snape headed towards the last place he wanted to visit there, the site of rare animals and illegal hunter trade, where there should be house-elves.
He entered the place as a man wearing a mask was already at the door watching the chaos unfold in the streets, his gaze returned to the hooded Snape. "How may I help you?" he asked.
"I want to buy a house-elf. Where can I find one?" Snape asked, and the man seemed thoughtful for a moment before returning to him.
"Unfortunately, we don't have any at the moment, but I know of some that will come here in two months, when we will have an auction. If you are interested, you can come here and look for me," he said, and Snape nodded.
'Let's go then.' Snape didn't even say goodbye and continued through the streets of the black market, heading back to Diagon Alley, taking a different path to avoid drawing attention.
No one in the bustling streets of Diagon Alley noticed Snape appearing as he removed his mysterious clothing and went to the place from where he had emerged.
"Where to, boy?" the man asked as Snape paid for the teleport.
"Cokeworth." He said and grabbed the Floo powder before disappearing, heading to a city where he lived.
Arriving at a discreet location, he proceeded to the bus stop and paid for a ride to the street of his residence, and after a while, he finally arrived.
"We're here... and that scoundrel is at home..." Snape murmured knowing that his unpleasant father was at home. "Perhaps I should have a little talk with him too..." He couldn't help commenting since this man had killed his mother by beating her while drunk, even though he was not the original Snape, he certainly harbored anger towards that man with the memories.
