Chapter 34 - Fourth Day 03.

Third Person POV

Hogwarts.

While Snape was leaving the classroom with spells flying past the 12-year-olds, a few students were not far away.

"You're going to have to follow him and go after him," a young man said to the boy as they stood together on the side of the corridor.

"Why do I have to do this?" the sixth-year boy questioned the older student.

"No dude, it's your turn. We all did it this morning until he disappeared..." The seventh-year student spoke. This was Lucas Nott, from one of the great families with close ties to the dark lord, acting for the silently ongoing war.

The boy was Paris Black, who was currently in his sixth year. He ended up getting frustrated with it, "Damn, I'll have to babysit a half-blood. So be it..." He did not stop mocking.

"I'd be worried if I were you about Snape... since one of your cousins seemed quite interested today at breakfast." The seventh-year student teased.

"Who?!" Paris immediately asked.

"Andromeda..." the boy replied.

"Are you serious?!" Paris could not believe that his cousin was really interested in a half-blood... If their grandmother found out, she would be severely punished.

As they talked, a shadow emerged near them, "What are you doing there?" the female voice arose, and they quickly looked to the side cautiously recognizing the owner of that tone. It was none other than Bellatrix Black.

The very seventh-year student was cautious around her and even being a cousin, the sixth-year boy also looked cautiously at her. If there was anyone everyone in Slytherin was afraid of, it was this woman.

"We're not doing anything wrong, right, Black?" the Slytherin student said to the younger one, trying to disguise and avoid irritating Bellatrix.

"Yes, it's true, cousin. We're not doing anything here," Paris Black commented, scratching his head.

"Whatever, just don't bother me, or join any Wrong-Followers, especially you, cousin, otherwise, if you tarnish the Black name, I'll make you regret it." She spoke.

Paris Black swallowed hard, despite her beauty and youth, she was a violent shrew and no one could deal with her in Slytherin.

After that, Bellatrix began walking down the corridor, leaving, but suddenly the seventh-year student had an idea at the last second. "Bellatrix..." he spoke, and she turned to look at him with a tone far from pleased.

"Don't call me by name, you idiot," she spoke, leaving the boy a bit shrunk, the boy from the Nott family was one of those in love with this woman, after all, she was one of the most beautiful in the house and many were fighting to see who would marry her when she left Hogwarts to unite the families who were with the dark lord.

Paris looked at the student wondering if he was so foolish that he could annoy this crazy woman, it was almost suicidal.

The student composed himself and spoke. "I heard that your sister, Andromeda, was chatting animatedly with a half-blood, that Severus Snape... I just thought you should know," he said.

Paris Black was again shocked by that guy, thinking, "Why are you talking about something like this... you're an idiot." He could not help but murmur.

"What did you say?" Bellatrix suddenly intensified her gaze with that.

"Your sister involved with a half-blood... That's pretty bad for someone from the Black family..." He mocked without realizing he was entering dangerous territory.

The woman just looked at him and the seventh-year student opened a smile, imagining he could add fuel to the fire. "Ask anyone from Slytherin who was at breakfast in the common room today, with whom she was talking this morning. She seemed quite excited as she flirted with the boy... I just thought the Black family wouldn't join that kind of people." He said with an evil smile, believing he would put Snape in big trouble.

That was the last straw for Bellatrix and before that member of the Nott house could react, angrily, she simply grabbed her wand and cast a stunning spell, making the guy unable to react as he was struck.

She didn't care if he was from a great family like hers. That's why she was so feared, the spell hit him and he was thrown away. The man fell like a doll against the wall before fainting on the floor. Paris watched all this, while cautiously looking at his cousin.

"Paris..." She called him as the young man trembled even more.

"Yes... cousin..." He spoke with a hint of fear.

"Tell this fool that if he tries to say anything else about the Black name being related to a half-blood, he will be killed next time," she growled. "As if that idiot who joined Gryffindor and was expelled by our grandmother wasn't enough," she made it clear, and the boy just nodded, fearing the wrath of his cousin who knew no bounds.

"Anyway, I'm going to talk to Andromeda, I want to know if this is really true," she said and began to withdraw.

Paris Black stayed there in the corridor, while there was the seventh-year student lying on the ground and Bellatrix simply walking away, crossing a corridor and disappearing.

A few seconds passed and the sixth-year student didn't know whether to take the unconscious one to the infirmary or to Slytherin, however the only thing that changed in the environment was footsteps of someone approaching, Paris looked down the corridor and was surprised that this person was none other than Snape himself, who had left the spell room quite late, and was walking through the corridors going somewhere while he would take advantage of his afternoon.

Paris saw this and had no choice but to listen to the older ones and follow Snape, but he couldn't do that with his fainted colleague, so he simply went to the middle of the corridor to intercept Snape's path.

"Severus Snape..." The boy spoke harshly.

Snape stopped and looked at him, with a quite dangerous glance that even reminded him of his cousin for a moment, but the boy returned an intense look to Snape, thinking this boy was just a half-follow with no family or significant support, just the troublemaker who would soon suffer the consequences for his actions.

"Do you know what you're getting into, Snape?" Paris spoke again.

Snape raised an eyebrow at him. "What are you talking about, skinny?" Snape openly questioned him, making Paris Black a bit stunned; he was a skinny guy, no one had ever described him that way, so he was quite disconcerted with it, although he had seen Snape act like this with other people.

Frustrated, he spoke angrily. "Exactly what I'm saying, Severus Snape. You're messing with powerful families. Are you a suicidal fool or something? Even my cousin... you shouldn't even be talking to my cousin. After all, you're below us," he said. Meanwhile, Snape touched his chin confused, while thinking about whom he was talking about.

"Who are you?" Snape asked, with a severe and at the same time confused tone, leaving the boy a bit more stunned, after all, he believed he was famous, although not as powerful as his cousin Bellatrix or foolish like his other cousin from Gryffindor.

"You don't know me. I am Paris Black, you fool," the boy snarled, but something happened at that moment.

Snape simply slapped the young man in the face the next second.

The slap echoed in the corridor. "Is that how you talk to a person, you idiot?" Snape spoke with a severe tone.

Paris felt his cheek burning, looking dazed to the ground and frozen, wondering if that really had happened. Never in his life had he been slapped by someone.

Paris knew he could never face Snape due to his strange strength and how he had been defeating even seventh-year students in the last few days, leaving them sprawled across the corridor; it was something everyone talked about and had reached a consensus that they feared facing Snape alone.

But, even so, someone who acted recklessly would soon have to get what they deserved; he wanted to threaten him and see his face with the situation he was getting into. Snape had been acting like this in Slytherin since he returned to school and they were preparing to teach him a lesson, even in a group.

However, that slap was humiliating; a half-blood hitting him like that. He was a Black, one of the great noble families. No lesser noble would do such a thing, much less, a half-blood, should touch him that way.

With a face of rage, he simply grabbed his wand from his waistline and aimed point-blank at Snape, being irrational from the humiliation. However, before he could turn his wand, Snape simply grabbed his hand, making him try to release it, but it was stuck without him being able to pull away or aim his wand at Snape.

"You're an idiot, aren't you?" Snape commented, looking at him calmly, as if seeing a fool.

"You're going to pay for this, you mere half-blood," he snarled, and before he could react, Snape simply kicked between his legs, with the sound of eggs breaking.

At this moment, some portraits that were watching this, and especially the men, instinctively put their hands between their legs, looking at it with a horrible grimace, imagining that it was not at all cool even for them to watch, while Paris himself opened his mouth and his eyes without even being able to breathe.

Perry no longer knew what to think, as the pain took over his brain while he barely held himself up. Even his wand, from the immense pain, slipped from his hand and fell to the ground, when Snape released his arm, as he fell to his knees in the middle of the corridor floor, looking at nothing with the same face as if lifeless, wondering if this was really happening, in his mind, he tried to maintain consciousness with the enormous pain felt in the middle of his legs.

He finally looked at Snape, who had destroyed several Slytherin students, but not even in his most unimaginable dreams did he think he would be in a situation like this.

"Don't stop me again, skinny. And don't be an idiot; respect people," Snape simply said, as if what he did was not serious, as if it were something normal, something educational.

The boy simply continued looking at Snape, but with his mind just bearing the pain.

Snape looked at him for a while, and thought that the boy would be fine, maybe in an hour or two, as he passed by him continuing on his way.

He looked at the other student from the Nott family lying on the ground too and looked at the portraits, wondering what was happening there, since it wasn't him who knocked that one down, while the portraits themselves made confused expressions with their hands.

Not getting any answers, he shrugged and continued walking, leaving.
