Chapter 3 - Time Skipsss

A/N: Last chapter this week

Growing up as a baby when your mental is at the state of a teenager is really good for the parents of your current body

I mean I don't cry for food, I just wave and pull on my caretaker when I'm hungry

And it's also the same when I wet myself

Weird as it may, I kind of gotten used to peeing in my own diapers

Though it's still very uncomfortable 

Anyway going back to mental state

Due to being a teenager in a baby's body, I'm kind of super calm all the time not like any other baby's my age, except maybe for 'her' if this is the Honkai world

It's also what led me into this situation

"Doctor are you sure my baby boy's Ok?!"

Hugging my head with he left hand my lovely mother Edith clenched the doctors collar with the other

Putting his hands up in surrender the doctor said "Okay Madam relax, I checked for any injury that might cause him to exhibit this kind of behavior, even the records of his birth, but all of records conclude that he is healthy and normal."

"But why is my baby unlike other children his age? Wait is he a genius?! That's right isn't it?!"

My mother concluded her own conjuncture as she let go of the doctor's collar, and brightened up again 

Holding me up she looked at me and said

"My little Aeolus is a genius!"

You could practically see the sparkle in her eye's

Glancing at my mother sparkling eyes I couldn't help but cooperate

Raising my hands at her, I said in my incoherent baby voice

"Ouhh!!!"

"Awwww!!"

Looking at her face when I said that. I knew that little bit of effort was enough to satisfy my mother

Seeing my family dote and care for me in this world is quite an alien feeling

But it's not a bad 

I could get used to this

About 2 years has passed since I was reincarnated.

So I am about 2 years and 7 months old currently

My legs and waist were starting to become strong enough for me to walk on my feet.

And I was beginning to seriously learn this world's language.

Then, I started to consider what I could do.

What did I need in my life? In the Honkai world the better physique means better Honkai adaption or at least that's what I concluded in The Elysian Realm Flame Chasers

So studying, sports, and developing skill set's is the goal

But as a baby, there was little that I could do actually feasibly do

I couldn't even hold a book properly and the shelves were so high I couldn't climb up 

So that leaves exercising, because I'll just develop my skill set when I get older

Armed with this goal, I set out and walked

7 years has passed

I have grown quite a bit, and I was doing my daily grind of reading before my father called me for a announcement 

"Son, come downstairs!"

"Coming Dad!"

Jumping down from my chair, hurrying downstairs to know what this announcement was

But when I reached downstairs I saw a person that should not be here

"Her name is Mobius. She'll be your little sister from now on, Aeolus and our new family member."

In a lavishly decorated room stood a handsome yet cold-looking middle-aged man. He held onto the hand of a green-haired girl as he introduced her to a well-dressed, blond-haired boy standing before him.

The middle-aged man was of course my father Alexander

But is why she here

Wait if I'm assuming we're the right age that means she left her father right?

So my father adopted her in that period?

Seeing my confused face my father smiled his face revealing a sunny look that usually only showcased his cold exterior

Ruffling my hair he whispered and said "Mobius's Dad was my friend, and he died due to a 'disease'. So can you take care of your little sister Aeo"

Glancing at Mobius and looking back at my father's face, puffing up my chest and patting my hand in my chest and said "Of course Dad, she's my little sister now, so of course I'll take care of her "

"Good, go play with your little sister for a while, I'll tell your big sister when she goes home after school."

"Okay!"

Going to Mobius and taking her hand to guide her to the house 

"Let's go Mobi"

???

Her face was riddled with confusion, as if asking 'When did we get that close?'

But I shamelessly ignored it making it looked like the ignorance of a child

Alexander PoV

Opening the bottle of wine that I had saved for 5 years, sitting down on my chair, and pouring myself a glass

As lament on at this God-Forsaken situation at hand

*SIGH*

How did you die that way? And who killed you?

This two question were the one's occupying my mind the most as I drink a glass of wine

As I was about to pour myself another glass

"Your really stressed huh," 

"Whah!"

A wild Edith suddenly appeared behind me taking the bottle that was on my hand

"You surprised me"

Putting my hand to my chest to calm myself down

"So, why is my husband who usually don't drink alcohol suddenly start drinking it now? Did something happen?"

Straight to the point

As expected of my wife

"It was something in my personal relationship and work related matter . My close friend who we had very stable personality suddenly became abusive to his daughter then someone come along and put's a broken glass bottle through his neck. Now you have a recipe for a really bad case"

Raising a brow Edith put the wine bottle down and assumed a thinking pose before she asked her question

"Although that person is unfortunate, Is the work related matter you mentioned also connected to him"

Perceptive as ever

*SIGH*

"Yes, His autopsy revealed that he had the same disease that has been recently popping up recently"

Pouring herself a bottle on my glass then drinking from it Edith replied

"That's not the main point isn't it? Does this disease you speak of, affect his or his actions? Or Is it that his symptoms are different from those that have been affected from this mysterious disease ? Am I right?

"The latter was a good guess, but yes close to that."

Taking the wine glass from her and drinking it, although that earned me a glare from her I continued

"The disease that has been popping up is called the 'Collapsing Disease', is a degenerative disease that usually takes these symptoms after getting hit by a mysterious energy (That's what the patient's claimed.) similar to being hit with Radiation"

"First the patient exhibits purple lines around there body, but usually it's found in the arms, after that is loss of eye sight, then a slumber that put's the patient into a deep slumber that eats the victim's body."

"Ultimately killing them in the process."

"But my friend didn't, he survived even though his head was mentally impaired due to the result of the disease, but the important thing is he lived"

"Now someone came along and killed him, because of that the researchers in the hospital is telling me to let them research his body."

"Although my logical side is telling me to do it, but can I face that child? Knowing that I desecrated her fathers body and didn't even give her father a proper burial"

"But seeing the statistics on the survival rate on it. Smashes my heart piece by piece, 5000 patients that received our hospitals best treatment, and no one lived, Edith. Not a single one"

"And that's only in one of our hospitals, that's not counting the number on all of them."

Gripping my chest to calm down my anxious emotions I finally asked her

"Edith, what should I do?"

Seeing her face contort in sadness when she witness my break down

Hugging me in her arms she said in a comforting voice

"You are not a Saint, Alex you can't save everyone just focus on the present. And as for the body just ask permission from that child. She and Aeolus are quite similar in that they both understand the situation quickly."

Stroking my face, she said her final thoughts

"But for now just sleep."

That was the last words I heard before I fell asleep

Aeolus PoV

"You see this Mobi, this is my toy dinosaur only for me but for you I'll make an exception"

Saying that gives me literal chills when I said it, but I managed to hide it

Looking at her face It was literally saying 'Why am I doing? Why am I here?'

But your not gonna escape from me, my dear Scientist 

He he he he

"HM?"

Looking at her, did she just shiver?

Might have been from the cold

"You can have this coat Mobi if your cold"

No fighting but we doin slice of life for now
