“Yes. We’re waiting for the specifics, but I know what you’re planning.”
“My problem is that it all seems a little… much.” Rider picked the word carefully.
Despite that, she snorted. “Oh yes. It is much. Verymuch.”
“So there’s something behind it, then?”
“You betcha,” she said cheerily, her tone sarcastic as ever.
“Can you give me a heads-up of any kind? For the farm’s sake?” Rider rubbed his forehead with his fingertips, feeling a headache coming.
“There’s a farm not far from the Jarvela farm. Ask Mikael. The Council purchased it recently. I think they’re reinstating someone there and that means….”
“We’ll be mixed up in it. Excellent. Okay.” Rider sighed. “Thank you.”
“No problem. Nicolas sends his love.”
“Thanks. Bye.” Rider put the phone away with a smile on his lips.
He got up and went downstairs to talk to Mikael. He needed to give the man a heads-up, because there was no way the Council would give the information to Mikael before they absolutely had to.
