As I was doing that, I turned my head to look at Astrid, wondering how she was reacting after seeing me hug another girl.
I was surprised to find that not only did Astrid not seem to really care about what I was doing. But her face and aura had also changed to how they looked when I first met, when she gave off that cool and scholarly vibe as if she were an academic scholar.
Her look completely changed from how naive and ditzy she looked before. And she looked much more mature and level-headed, as if she were a veteran doctor, especially with the lab coat she was wearing.
I don't exactly know why she changed her vibe.
But I knew that it wasn't because I was hugging Lucille since her eyes completely disregarded me from the picture. And only focused on Lucille in my arms, looking at her as if she were a powerful opponent she had to deal with and looked intimated by her presence.
I asked her what's wrong by gesturing my head, to which she simply shook her head, snapped out of her daze, and gave me a wry smile, telling me that it was all fine.
It looks like I really need to check out why Astrid is so intimated by Lucille's presence after this.
It could even be related to our bloodlines.
"You can let go of me now."
I heard Lucille's voice from below and let her go, just like she said.
She didn't look any different from how she was before, and she looked as noble and prideful as ever. She covered up her flustered face so well that you would never think that this was the same girl cowering on my chest a moment ago, trying to hide her flushed face.
"How lucky of you~ You must be so happy that you got to hug me for an extended period of time, Luca you perv-...Oh, it's you..."
Lucille didn't wait for a second to call me out after letting me go and was about to scold me in all sorts of ways to make me forget that she hugged me back. But she stopped when she saw someone right behind me.
She was about to put on her noble face again since she didn't seem to be a fan of showing her true emotions to random people. But she stopped and didn't hide the surprise on her face when she saw that the person behind me was the tall and mighty-looking Astrid, who was looking down upon her, using her height to her advantage with a calm look on her face.
Lucille didn't expect to see the girl who picked me up earlier once again, and that too by my side.
She looked even more puzzled when she realised that the girl she saw me hugging earlier was actually Astrid, whom I said I didn't know when she asked me who she was when Astrid called out to me.
"Luca, you seem to have some explaining to do?"
Lucille said in a low voice and looked at me with narrowed eyes, as if she had caught me hanging with another girl when I promised I was just going out with the boys.
"Yes. I really have to explain something. But before that, I should probably introduce you two since you two haven't formally met." I looked away from her gaze and tried to divert the topic.
"Astrid Deutschland...The prodigy from the Minotaur Race who excels in industrial and chemical research. And has published multiple papers and won several esteemed awards for our school."
"It's a pleasure to meet you."
Lucille greeted Astrid with a light bow like what you would expect from a princess who had probably been taught about noble etiquette from a very young age.
"Lucille Florence. The First Princess of the Human Race and the Head of the disciplinary council of Eden High."
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well."
Astrid nodded her head and greeted back in a calm manner like you would expect from a scholar.
While those two were eyeing each other up curiously after greeting one another, I was in shock about the information I heard about one another.
Not only did I learn that Astrid some kind of science progidy who had won some rewards for her work, which Lucille already knew beforehand. Lucille also had another position in this school other then her title as the princess and seemed to be some kind of head for a disciplinary council which I really don't understand what exactly they do.
