Beginning to The End

"It seems to have worked surprisingly well considering an outsider like you came up with it."

Once again in a room with all the hotshots surrounding one big table, the venomous lady, Maki, complimented the young girl who sat stuffing her face with fruit in a... interesting way... Her elbows held high above her head with her legs resting on top of each other on the table.

With her arms crossed and eyes closed, not only Maki, but everyone around the table seemed both mentally and physically exhausted with the head farmer even asleep in his chair, nodding his head as he tried to wake up.

"Mm, it worked better than expected cause we got lucky, but lets still hope it worked out well enough."

'Of course it worked, it was my plan after all!'

...

"How much of our preparations are ready for tomorrow?"

Zeph broke the silence with a question that reminded them of how tight their schedule was. Why they were all so tired was because they had next to no time to prepare.

"Well... With the girl having to prepare for that scout, we slowed down a decent amount. None of us can really dig or control the elements, so the bunkers are more like trenches now."

'Right... Because it had gotten so easy for me recently, I forgot how hard it normally is for them to dig into that concrete dirt.'

"As for the wall. Luckily Cami had practically finished your part of the work there, so it should be done before sundown."

Zeph nodded in approval of her as he notified everyone that at least 1/3rd of the plan should be fully finished on time.

"The weapons have been fully handed out and crafted as well as your fancy contraptions. They simply need to be moved into their proper spots. We should also be done that by sundown."

"The food's also prepared for ya, though it's usually how much we'd give 'em gross humans anyways, it was quite hard to get this year 'round cause ye wanted all my fertilizer."

"Right, sorry about that... haha.."

Putting her hand behind her head, she nervously laughed and smiled to the exhausted farmer, who glared at her for giving him so much trouble all this time.

'Good, that's a massive part. The weapons are handed out, the wall is finished. Once the traps are set in place, as long as the paths and trails are done, considering not all the bunkers will be finished on time, we've done about 3/5ths of the necessary preparations, with 1/5th of that being getting everyone into position on the actual day...

which is...'

Furrowing her brows slightly, she lowered her head to stare at the table with her hand on her chin.

...

"Tomorrow..."

With silence looming over the room, the atmosphere grows heavy. Everyone has been so busy preparing for the battle, that they had forgotten to mentally prepare themselves as well.

"Maki."

Standing to his feet, Zeph calls out for the slender woman, who's looks only got more intriguing the colder her face grew.

"Double check that everyone knows their positions for tomorrow."

"Right, you don't have to tell me, I was going to do it anyways. Yoru, come."

She grew a meter or so simply by standing to her feet, while the white haired, scarred monster of a guard beside her seemed to have grown double that as they stood and left the room with smug faces and arms full with papers.

"Cami, come."

"Hm? GUGH-!"

Reaching his arm out, Zeph grabbed Camellia from her torso with one hand holding her entire abdomen and began to carry her around like she was a briefcase, or how you would a newborn kitten while picking up both of their papers with his other hand.

"HEY THAT WAS TOO ROUGH!"

Pausing for a second, he nods his head then throws her violently over his shoulder, turning towards the door himself.

"If you call me a kid all the time, can you at least treat me like one?!"

"I am."

"Wh-..."

'I forgot this monster of a living creature was a pervert...'

***Why pervert? He's a giant! So are the kids!

Walking out the door, Zeph dropped Camellia off at the forge and forced her to take a nap. The preparations had gone 'well,' yet they knew they wouldn't be able to finish it all in time. Meaning whatever scraps were left, whatever bits and pieces they couldn't finish on time...

'Is up to me huh..?'

<With how terribly designed your plan is, I'm surprised you've made it this far...>

'HEY NOW!'

With the beautiful Mona's plump lips, she sipped tea at her table like usual... except the table was sitting on top of a pile.. nono mountain of nonsense.

***It's like one of those pictures where everything ALMOST looks like an object, but you can't physically figure it out no matter how hard you try.

'At least I'm trying ok?!'

With a finger pointing out from the heap, the cute, all black turtle that walked by bit the tip, causing it to puff and turn red almost instantly.

"DAMMIT LIBBO!!"

Waking herself up from her own sleep, she ruffed her face up angrily before pushing her hair back and making sure of what she had checked that night.{

1. Food supplies; Good

2. Extra material for fire; Plenty

3. Added multiple layers to her clothes as emergency fuel: Bing bing! (It's hot like 2 winter jackets)

4. ...}

"My claw..."

Through such repeated use, as well as having to make a few extra masks, digging holes in the bedrock-wood surrounding the village, and all of her fights leading up to now...

'It was getting worn down...'

Summoning the glove in her hands, it glistened with sharp blades at the end, they looked to be in perfect condition, polished to a 10/10... However...

'The chain-mail is busted up good. One wrong move and it might just slip off my hand.'

<Why don't you just tie it to your hand then?>

'Mm... I had thought of doing that, but overall it'd cause this claw's overall quality to drop after time I think. What little metal I had for this thing wasn't good quality stuff, if I try and tie it to my hand, the pressure points will change, and its structural integrity won't last-'

<Too much~ You're talking too much dear~>

'You asked...'

<Listen dear~ if it'll damage the glove by changing its whatever integrity or whatnot... Then just add more to it no~? Change its overall balance whatever thingy?>

'You... Have no clue what you're talking about do you..?'

<More than you you twerp! I built the pyramids remember! Humph!>

***Ooooo she's maaad~

*Sigh*

'All I can do for now is try and add clumps of metal to it and hope it holds till the fight is over. It probably wouldn't be as comfortable and would look pretty ugly tho...'

<Oho~ now we're caring about looks are we~>

'Shut it'

*DING DING DING*

With the sound of a bell ringing in the distance, Junjun and Lily could be heard running to Camellia's door, suddenly opening it with nervous faces and a bead of sweat falling down their temples.

"They're coming!"

Grabbing at her chest, Junjun nervously nodded her head as fast as she could while Lily exclaimed the situation loudly to Camellia.

Taking a deep breath, she calmly put the glove onto her hand before wiping a layer of sweat off her forehead that had built from the heat caused by her large, multilayered dress.

'Guess I don't have time to add that metal after all...'

"Well... It's not strange for me to oversleep. Let's go girls."

*DING DING DING*

A shiny golden bell rang back and forth as the rocky roads bumped and jostled as the carriages and single horses alike carrying hundreds of soldiers towards the Elves' gate. They marched slowly as the giant wooden doors began to creak open as a sign of welcoming to them. As they got closer to the gate, they slowed down to wait and watch it open.

The man at the front of the pack had short blonde hair, and eyes. He had blue clothes covered in light layers of armor that covered only one shoulder and his whole chest. On his head he had a formal dressing, it was gold and green in colour with a few gems hidden within it. It resembled a hair pin more than a crown, it covered half of his head and showed signs of Royalty.

"Welcome!"

On the other side of the gate stood the tall, towering man known as Zeph. He and the village stayed crouched on one knee to welcome them, yet even then he stood tall enough to rival the average height of humans.

The human Royal scoffed and continued walking forwards, waving his very small sized army to follow him. As they entered the town, they were met with cheers and beer. It seemed like a parade, a festival even.

"I once again wish you a grand welcome to this village you all so graciously let us keep under our name."

Walking forwards from among the crowd, Maki's venomous tongue that spoke but words of a seductive natural tone began to charm the Royal as she brought him a glass of champagne.

"Hm.. Not bad for a savage woman. You shall accompany me for this visit, I expect you to know your place."

"Naturally Lord Eric. Thank you for this opportunity."

As she bowed her head, he slowly trotted past her with her following him on foot. A small grin growing on her face behind his back, as the first step of the plan worked without a hitch.

'I hate that pipsqueak, but she sure does have a way to create hell for people. So prepare yourselves, its finally time you burdens of the world understood what the pit of purgatory feel like.'
