She threw her thought about Egon far away and went back to her room. She finally had the chance to read some books.
Before she just took one of the books but didn't look around to see what kind of books were there.
She saw one, which made her palm itchy. Its title was 'The academy's history'. She flipped it through slowly and she was annoyed. It didn't just contain the academies establish, but mentioned every building. When it was built, what the use of it… There was even a map in it!
She threw the book away. If she knew this kind of book exist she didn't run around with Zotmund and the others for a whole day!
If Bertold showed her this book, then the 2 of them could walk around…
- Why the hell I'm thinking as if I wanted to go on a date with him?!
Belinda wanted to cry. Her emotions were affected too much nowadays. Even Egon was able to play with her…
She needed to clean out her thought. She sat down to meditate and fell asleep. When she woke up, it was already dinner time.
- Shit! I become too used to sleep for the whole day!
She sighed and left those books for tomorrow.
The next day, after breakfast she rummaged through the books. She found some old novels and one of them seemed to be familiar to her. It was the Romeo and Juliette, an old classic from the Earth. She learned about it in literature classes, but she never read it. She didn't know if it was really the same or not, but she didn't want to read it.
She found some books about pills and herbs, but the one that made her interested was 'The demonic beast in the academy's forest'. She was interested in the monsters and on the other hand, she hoped to find some information about her butterfly.
She spent 2 days to read the book, but she didn't find any information about butterflies or saw any special beast. The low-level monsters were too similar to the animals. Once Zotmund mentioned the dragons, so she wanted to know if unicorns and phoenixes existed too.
The other books had some information about immortals, but those things mostly were mentioned in the novels that Belinda used to read. She needed more books to get the information she needed.
The next day, she went to the library. The building had 5 floors and thousands of books. She wanted to walk around and check all the books' titles, but she overestimated her own will. After half an hour, she saw a book what she started to read before, but never know the ending. She only wanted to see if it's really that book, but she ended up reading it the whole day.
- Shit! This library a pit hole! I don't know how many years I need to read all the books here!
She completely forgot her intention to find information and went to borrow the novel. The library closed before dinner time because some students used to forget about eating. Belinda went to stand in the line.
The library's book was really miraculous. It was almost 5 thousands page, yet it was so thin and light.
- I really want to know what kind of magic they used! When I open the book it's always in the middle, and no difference how many pages I turn, it still shows the same. If I just look at the book in the others' hands, I can't say how far they read it…
She turned the book in her hand and on the cover she saw a red line. The more page she turned the longer the line was. When she reached the end it ran through the whole cover. When she turned it to the first page it's disappeared.
Belinda played with the book and didn't realize, it was her turn. The librarian looked at her as he saw a monkey.
„Hey! How long I need to wait for you?!" he was impatient. He really hated this job, but he couldn't find anything better.
Belinda jumped with fright and throw the book to him.
He grabbed it and shouted at her. „Stupid, your card?!"
She almost dropped it while took it on the table.
While the man registered the book, Belinda looked around. She didn't want to be peered at, but to her surprise, no one was interested in her. It seemed they were used to the man's manner.
She sighed and after she got back the book she ran out.
„Hey, stupid! Bring it back after a week!" he roared after her.
Belinda didn't stop until she reached the cafeteria. She stood not far from the entrance and tried to calm down. She was glad the hospital was far from here. If she was seen running around while being a patient she didn't want to know how much Egon would bother her.
„Well, well! Some patients think that they have the knowledge to change their doctor's instruction!"
The familiar voice, the familiar tone… Belinda felt that her heart stopped.
- Can he be summoned? Why the hell I needed to think about him?!
She slowly turned around and really saw that annoying smile on that irritating face!
- Really! The transmigration used up all my luck?! Why I need to meet with him today?!
„Hey! Don't be so frightened or I need to make your treatment longer." Egon laughed and then whispered in her ear. „When a young girl thinking about me I can hear it. Even if I'm on the other side of the planet I will run to her!"
Belinda's face darkened. She really couldn't understand playboys. Maybe girls really liked to listen to these kinds of words and it made roses open in their hearts, but for her, it could only open the penknife in her pocket…
- Do you really think that I'm so stupid?! I already know that my heart is completely healthy! Only you enjoy using your position as a doctor to force me to drink that medicine!!
She turned around and left without a word.
Egon looked after her and felt that he was seen through. He sighed and went back to work. It's time to look for the next prey!
