Ugly house.

Do not look down on me because you stay in this average-looking building, this is nothing compared to my precious mansion." Abigail taunted back at him, her lips curved up into a smirk and her eyes shining brightly.

Elias decided he wasn't in the mood to argue with her so he turned around ready to leave and go back into his study room, "You can go back now!" Elias muttered.

"Tsk! Seems you already know you have an ugly house built here, am so disappointed looking at the house." Abigail remarked not ready to let go of her words, she has been busy adoring the artistic drawings on the door when he had interrupted her by opening the door.

"I do not care about whatever mansion you may have or you currently have, you can go now I have some work to complete," Elias said rolling his eyes internally. The woman was a total pain in his ass, she was annoying and she didn't know when to stop disturbing others too. He felt his life was going to take a new turn very soon.

"Since am here now, let's talk about the marriage contract. We are yet to have a signed one since we got married in a hurry, why don't we get it laid down now to avoid further problems in the coming days." Abigail stated her expression morphing into that of total seriousness, she looked like a strict school teacher.

"Fine, if that's what you want then come in. let's discuss it here," Elias responded standing out of the way to point her into his study room. Abigail hummed and walked into his study room, she glanced around the room in a second and concluded the man she was married to had a plain taste.

Sitting on his chair, Elias gestured towards her to sit on the chair adjacent to his and Abigail happily complied with his words. He pulled out a file from within the files on the table and handed it over to her, "I thought you would ask for this so I prepared it in advance, you may take a look through it and tell me whatever it is you feel like making a change to."

Elias coolly muttered, picking up Another file to go through while waiting for her. Abigail opened the file after she took it from him, her face scrunched into a frown when she read the words written inside the file. "A pen," Abigail asked stretching her hand towards him.

Elias picked up a pen from his table and handed it over to her, he wondered what she knew that she attempted to write on the file. Abigail took the pen and placed the file on the table and began making some corrections on it with an intent gaze, she looked focused on what she was just doing.

After scribbling and erasing a few things from the file, she placed the pen inside and handed it over to him with a satisfied grin on her face. Elias took the file from her and opened it, he felt he wasn't going to like the changes made seeing the grin on her face.

On the file it read;

1. Both parties must agree to the marriage and its terms.

2. Both parties must be honest and open with each other about their feelings and intentions.

3. Both parties must respect each other's privacy and boundaries.

4. Both parties must agree to communicate openly and honestly about any issues that arise during the marriage.

5. Both parties must agree to remain faithful to each other during the marriage.

6. Both parties must agree to provide emotional support for one another during the marriage.

7. Both parties must agree to work together to resolve any conflicts that arise during the marriage respectfully.

8. Both parties must agree to respect each other's wishes regarding any children that may be born during the marriage, including custody arrangements, financial support, etc.

9. Both parties must agree not to grow feelings of attachment, love or any kind towards one another during the phase of their contract holds.

10. Both parties as stated above are advised to remain faithful to the other but if one of them cheats on the other then the other also gains the right to cheat on him too.

11. In the space of marriage both parties can not meddle in each other's personal life, no matter what the other does.

12.  Lastly, I repeat both parties can not fall in love. Any feelings of love held will result in the marriage being dissolved.

A deep frown appeared on Elias's face as he read through the contract, he could see the triumphant smirk on her lips as she gaze at his reaction. "What is this? what are those terms written in there?" Elias questioned slamming the file ok the desk.

Abigail straightened up when she saw his reaction, she pursed her lips before replying to his words. "Those are terms and conditions needed for this marriage to have a stable gown, it's all clearly written there unless you developed an eye problem in seconds." Abigail pointed out.

She had on a nonchalant font as she spoke her words, "If you do not agree to my terms, then I am afraid we will have to get divorced now." She continued sitting back on her chair nonchalantly.

"You do have your way with words don't you?" Elias asked staring intently at her, he was trying to read her thoughts but it was proving impossible to him. She seemed like an equation with lots of possible answers that could not be solved, rather no one was able to get the correct answer.

"Are you a lawyer or something? You drafted this down so professionally." Elias remarked once again, gazing at her expression.

A smirk curbed up on Abigail's lips when she heard his words, "A lawyer? who knows I might be one and I am not, it is as I always say. it is one of the many talents I have." Abigail uttered responding to his questions.

"It seems like you have agreed to the terms, if that's all them I would like to take my leave from here," Abigail uttered standing up on her feet.

"You may leave if you want to, it isn't like you gave me much choice," Elias muttered with a muffled tone that didn't go unheard by Abigail.

"What an understanding husband I got, am sure mother will be proud of me when she gets to know," Abigail murmured to herself and strode out of the room shutting the door behind her.

Her stomach grumbled as she climbed down the stairs, she turned towards the kitchen and walked into it. "You may all leave, I will be preparing the food for today," Abigail muttered shooing them out without giving them a chance to speak.

"But young mistress...." The head maid trailed off as the door was shut in her face. She gazed at the kitchen with worry, wondering if the young miss even knew how to cook. Signaling one of the maids she asked her to quickly inform the young master about it, and the maid ran off.

The maid knocked on the door of Elias's study room as she huffed for breath, getting a hummed approval from him, she pushed the door open and walked in with her head bowed.

Elias raised his gaze from what he was reading and then stared at the maid. "Young master, the young miss is cooking in the kitchen and has locked all of us out of the kitchen." The maid informed him.

Elias narrowed his eyes, it seems his wife was a very troublesome person than he had thought she was initially, he could feel a headache knocking at his head.
