Mikael, as they discussed their options, fell into a contemplative silence for a brief minute. His gaze drifted down the hallway they were traversing, thoughts churning in his mind.

Nicolaus was, in fact, a merchant and trader. It would only be logical to reach out to him for assistance.

After a thoughtful pause, he finally voiced, "I will... ask him."

Secretary Cade followed, mentioning, "The Marquess could be caught up with other affairs, so it might be a good idea to sort out all the materials needed before meeting with him, my lady."

Mikael gave a quick nod, his gaze drifting out the window, where he caught sight of the radiant noon sky.

As he peered outside, thoughts of someone specific popped into his head: Talon.

He wondered about his friend, curious to know how things were going with him, especially now that he was the Marquess' knight.
