Chapter 14-

On the same day, after work.

Jewel was just about to go home when she saw a man wearing a black cap and a black mask, looking suspicious.

His eyes were staring at her as if making sure to not let her escape.

If it was someone else in her position, they would surely be scared.

But Jewel didn't mind him and start walking as if she didn't saw the man.

"Hey, hey, hey!" The person called out to her. But she acted as if she didn't hear him and continue walking.

"HEY! Damn it, you clearly saw me and of course you hear me. Stop acting like you don't." The man shouts and follows her.

She stops and glares in his direction.

"Why are you still here? I thought you left already." She asked the person and frown.

That's right, she knows the man, he was that person earlier who cause a ruckus on her work.

It was Lavor who was waiting for her.

" We're going on the same home, so of course I was waiting for you." Lavor answered as a matter of fact.

Hearing this, Jewel raised her eyebrow. She was just about to give him a piece of her mind when someone suddenly called her.

"Jewel!" Jewel heard Lillia called out to her. When she looked back, she saw Lillia, Johnny, Ritrun, Raner, and Chen.

"You're going home already? It's rare for us to go home early. We should not let this chance pass by. Let's go partying." Lillia cheerfully added. She was full of energy as if she's going on a war.

"Oh, no. I'm going home already." Jewel immediately declined the invitation.

She didn't really want to go socializing that much.

She'll only go if she felt like it.

" Who's that with you?" Ritrun notices the person beside her and asked.

Lavor was just about to face in their direction when she stopped his face from looking back, using only her left hand. He was on her left side.

"Ah, him? He was my brother's friend. He comes here to tell me to go home already." She lied.

She already lied twice today, it makes her annoyed thinking that it was because of this guy.

"What? Don't be a killjoy. Just bring him along. It won't take a while. It's just a short get-together since it's rare for us to go home early." Johnny said that but his eyes are squinting, staring at Lavor.

She really wants to poke those eyes.

" Oh, no. He still has something to do so he's going home already." Jewel lied again.

She was forced to lie but the guy beside her suddenly said.

"I'm quite free right now.."

Jewel really wanted to beat the guy. She wanted to roll her eyes at him but she was afraid that others would notice something so she could only look at him and forced a smile.

But in Lavors' eyes, it was a very dangerous smile.

"Ah, that's right, I forgot that I still have something to do. I'm going first. Bye!!" Lavor could only helplessly say this.

Waving his hand without looking back, he started walking home.

Although to others, it looks like he's almost running.

"So?" Jewel asked awkwardly, looking at the weird look on her co-workers' faces whose eyes were looking at Lavor.

"So, where are we going?" Jewel asked them again to gain their intentions.

Hearing this, Ritrun eyes suddenly lit up.

"You're coming with us?" He asked, face full of smiles and expectations.

Jewel looked at him as if she was looking at an idiot and asked.

"What else did I stayed behind for?" Jewel's sarcastic answer machine was 'on' again.

Ritrun can't help but just keep his mouth shut. Aside from this, everyone didn't think too much about it as they were already used to it.

Except for one person who glared at her but no one else noticed it. She then quietly pulled out her phone and called someone.

"Don't you think his voice sounds like Lavor?" Lillia suddenly asked this out of nowhere. Her eyes looking in the direction where Lavor run to as if she was dreaming but she was only trying hard to remember Lavors' voice.

"Don't talk nonsense, it's just your imagination." Jewel immediately answer. The way she answers it, makes people think that she's hiding something.

When they heard her say this, everyone stopped and looked at her. After a while, everyone's attention turned to Jewel. Their eyes are scrutinizing.

"What?" Jewel asked them while raising her left eyebrow.

Acting as if she knows nothing. Looking at them as if they are judging the wrong person.

"If we really knew each other, then we would have talked earlier." Jewel added.

Everyone turned quiet and only look at her. They wanted to ask more but didn't dare to.

Lillia then coughs falsely. "Alright everyone, let's go." She said awkwardly and started to walk.

She just asked that without thinking but didn't expect that it would come back at Jewel.

But the way she answered earlier makes people think that she's really hiding something.

It's just that when she looked at Jewel again, she was looking straight like she doesn't mind what others are thinking.

They decided to go to a nearby cafe not wanting to go farther away as per also Jewels' request.

While Ritrun was busy introducing the food to Jewel, she suddenly noticed someone staring at her. She got annoyed after a while, so she decided to look at the person.

"What?" She asked quietly to him.

The person was Johnny. Ever since earlier, this guy has been being annoying. Even while they're walking to the cafeteria, this guy has been staring at her.

"What's your problem?" Jewel asked again to the unresponsive guy who only knows how to smile playfully and look at her. This makes her annoyed and raised one eyebrow.

Seeing her that, Johnny suddenly get closer to her and said quietly but surely.

"The guy from earlier was Labor right?" He asked but as if his not asking as he stated it as matter of fact.

"You're talking nonsense, I don't know any celebrity." Jewel answered.

But Johnny still didn't trust her and said.

"I don't believe you." He said.

"

Then the two started bickering with each other.

They were talking so quietly and their faces are close to each other, makes people think something is going on.

Ritrun who saw this can't help getting in between the two of them and decided to join the fun.

Lillia who also saw this can't help advising her dear student about Johnny.

"Don't you know that if they were compared to a food, then Lavor is a vegetable And Johnny is a junk food?"

Lillia said this while laughing.

Then the two started to bickering again.

They are playing with each other but forgot that there's still someone else here.

Chen frown while looking at them.

Everyone was really treating Jewel like their little princess. She could not help felt annoyed thinking about it.

What can they really see in that girl who has no manners and proper etiquette?
