Chapter 5: Yvonne Young, You're So Despicable!_1

The doctor said to stay relaxed for a higher chance of success. To distract herself, Yvonne Young asked Havana Quinn to find her a job singing at a bar, for two hours each night, and practicing during the day.

Havana was her elder cousin, a year older than her. Everyone in the family blamed Yvonne for her father's death and severed ties with her. Only Havana picked her up on the day of her release from prison.

Havana pulled some strings, and Yvonne passed the interview smoothly. She started work two days later. After having dinner with Havana, Yvonne returned home to find it already dark.

Upon entering, she tiredly placed her keys on the shoe cabinet and bent down to change her shoes, when she suddenly realized something was off - the lights were on.

Startled, Yvonne glanced towards the living room and saw Spencer Sullivan seated on the sofa.

The man's face was horrifyingly gloomy, and his cold, sinister dark eyes stared at her.

Yvonne, filled with fear, raised her hands to support herself on the shoe cabinet. She swallowed, getting ready to speak, but the man suddenly stood up and approached her.

Seeing his aggressive demeanor, she nervously tightened her grip on her fingers, "Spencer Sullivan."

Without acknowledging her, Spencer walked up to Yvonne, hoisted her onto his shoulder, and headed for the second floor.

At five feet six inches and only 135 pounds, Yvonne was not too much for Spencer. She panicked and turned her head to look at him, "Spencer Sullivan, what are you doing?"

Without saying a word, Spencer carried Yvonne into the bedroom and roughly kicked open the bathroom door. He put her under the showerhead and immediately turned it on. The initial bursts of cold water poured down on her, making her shiver. She stared at the man's frosty, handsome face in astonishment - he was furious beyond control.

Ignoring Yvonne's frightened bird-like demeanor, Spencer reached for her collar, intending to tear her clothes off.

Yvonne quickly hugged her arms around herself and retreated until her back was against the wall.

Spencer grabbed her chin, leaned in and said, "Yoel Young's death isn't enough to pay for his sins, so you should atone for him." He then forcefully and crudely pressed his lips against hers. As the shower rain fell on them both, Yvonne couldn't keep her eyes open; all she felt was the metallic taste of blood in her mouth.

She lifted her trembling hands and, closing her eyes, tightened her embrace around his waist.

Spencer suddenly pulled his lips away, "Yvonne Young, you're so filthy!"

He gripped her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. The contempt in his eyes stung, piercing her heart.

In that moment, Yvonne felt as if the sound of the cascading water carried mocking and humiliating undertones.

Spencer's hand trailed up her back, against the flow of the water.

From the bathroom to the bedroom, he showed no tenderness or restraint, his overbearing and crude actions punishing her, his disgusted expression humiliating her.

Yvonne bit her lip, turning her face away from Spencer's disgusted eyes. He suddenly lifted her off her feet.

Her frail body hung in the air, startling her - she stared at him in terror, "Spencer Sullivan, I can't take it anymore."

She felt weak and powerless. If this continued, she might pass out, further reducing her chances of conceiving.

Spencer's face darkened, and his phone suddenly rang, diverting his attention. The phone was on the bed, and he reached for it.

The name 'Mandy Carter' stood out on the screen, glaringly conspicuous.

Yvonne's heart ached uncontrollably, and she coldly looked away. Without any hesitation, Spencer answered the call and said, "Hello?" A moment later, he added, "Ask Xander Hugh to pick you up, I'll be there soon."

His voice was gentle and patient.
