“Ah, no,” Frank chuckles. “There are many animals. I’m not saying they’re the same, but a heart, lungs, limbs, everything we have they have.” Then as if he can’t help himself, he says, “They don’t complain as much. Bonus.”

Mica snorts. She goes to cover her mouth and almost bludgeons herself with a talon. Barely avoiding the painful collision, she nonetheless loses her balance and Randy hurries to help her.

Wes grimaces and sees everybody—including Frank and Mica—do the same.

“We don’t have time for this,” Wes tells Ollie. They don’t. Between Mica and the necromancer, they aren’t in a position to waste time.
