Reunion
The group flew towards the south, engaging angel attacks only if necessary. The further they were from the center, the less activity there was. The outermost parts of the Districts hardly seemed affected at all. Its inhabitants were, however, overwhelmed by the incoming wave of refugees who had just escaped the inferno.
Seeing everyone was tired, Lucifer decided to land next to a soup kitchen that hadn't opened yet. The old elf lady setting it up eyed the winged ones skeptically.
"What do ye want?"
"My dear lady, we would love to purchase a few bowls of soup for nourishment," Lucifer explained. "As you can see, we've also been under attack."
"Money won't get ye anywhere," she retorted.
"How about manpower?" Sayuri asked. "I see you are alone."
"Hm. Smart lass ye are. Then I accept."
The elf had already laden a bowl of baked beans before awaiting Sloth's answer. She quickly filled more bowls and passed them on to the others.
