Luca almost passed out the moment he saw her.

On a hideous old hotel comforter, Sophia lay with her hair sprawled out, hiding her face from view.

However, what he could see sent a dagger through his heart.

While she normally had pale skin that easily showed each one of his love bites or her blushing, it wasn't normally as white as paper as it was at that moment. He also noticed her pants were displaced and around her knees. However, the most alarming thing was the blood in various places on the bed and spread out underneath her head.

"Sophia!" Luca cried out and rushed to the bedside where he rolled her onto her back.

Her hair and face were stuck in partially dried blood and when he had her on her back, he could tell it was coming from her nose. She remained unconscious, though he could see her chest unsteadily rise and fall.

"God, no," he uttered over and over as he undid the ropes tying up her feet and hands.
