Excerpt: His lips left her neck only long enough to say, “If the invisible scars he left don't disappear now, I'll keep trying again and again until they do. Merry Christmas II

Sophia genuinely didn't expect anyone to drink the alcohol she was handing them. All she wanted them to have was a keepsake of their time even if it meant the bottles sat on shelves, unused for years to come.

However, she saw a look of challenge appear on Luca's face and Ethan perked up at Gus's vigor.

"That's what I like to see!" she exclaimed. "Now, who's next? How about my dearest friend, Ethan."

Ethan was looking forward to her gift considering she never held back. He stepped forward and sat down on the floor next to her.

She handed him the spiced version of the rum Gus had just downed making the skull-shaped bottle a little darker. Then she brought out what looked to be a pottery vase, however, once it was turned, it was one of the goddesses of fertility on the island. Particularly, the curves of the goddess were three-dimensional. It was a beautiful piece admittedly but not something Ethan could show many people without getting in trouble.
