Sophia and Luca were two people who had never loved another person so much in their lives but they had stinted communication skills because of all the trauma they had to endure to become who they were.

Rather than tell Sophia that the words in the elevator hurt him, Luca shut himself in his office after arriving home, worrying about year end goals for work rather than the fragile state of their relationship.

Despite his guise of productivity, he didn't finish much.

Sophia, on the other hand, ate dinner by herself and went to the theater room where she lay down on one of the couches and watched a baking competition to take her mind off of things. She could have read the learning materials the psychologist had sent her, but she knew she wouldn't be able to focus much.
