An Honest Drunk

In addition to the fish the couple was consuming that evening, there was also an olive tapenade and one bite potato dishes served in spoons and covered with some marrow and truffle gravy.

They both sipped their drinks and ate the food slowly, not much to say as they occasionally brushed against one another and Luca's hand remained in Sophia's lap.

He would never admit that he made her sit on his left side so that he could continue to touch her while his dominant hand was occupied.

When the food was gone and all that was left were drinks, Sophia sipped hers slowly, finally able to taste each layer of the limoncello mojito. It had been lost to the food's strong flavors before but now she could finally give it the appreciation it deserved.

"This doesn't taste like alcohol at all," she admitted, despite how much it looked like he poured into the drink. "I'm surprised you still let me drink after the very first time we drank with one another."
