Chapter 7

12 years later. Elaea.

The warm sun shone upon the golden beach where Cascade stood. The cool waves came in every once in a while, touching her feet lightly before saying goodbye. The weather was beautiful, perfect to practice her powers.

Cascade raised her arms slowly, closing her eyes, concentrating as a soft blue glow formed around her. The water began to shiver as it rose along with her hands. But as soon as her hands rose above her chest, they began to tremble. And the magic ended.

The water drenched Cascade, head to toe, causing her to groan as she plopped onto the sand, tired.

It had been a few years since her blessing, six to be exact. Just like her wish, she had been blessed by Goddess Nixie. She had been ecstatic when Goddess Nixie appeared in front of her one day and announced that she would be blessed. Cascade was so happy, but she would've been happier if she could've shared it with Avesta.
