WORST DAY!

The hospital was only 10 minutes away from the central shopping centre. They should be there soon.

But for Adrian and others, this 10 minutes was like a10 century. Adrian keeps caressing Lucas's face as if imprinting everything in his heart and mind.

Luna was in a daze, she couldn't help but worriedly glance in Adrian's and Lucas's direction every few seconds.

Whereas Olivia couldn't keep her heart calm, she couldn't help but think about Lucas's remark, therefore, she urge her husband to call Reena.

" You contact mother and set the call on speaker," Olivia hurriedly instruct Eugene. Ever since Lucas mention his grandma, Olivia couldn't help but worry about her in-laws.

Eugene couldn't understand his wife's decision but he still comply. He called Reena but she didn't pick up, so he called his father which was picked up after a few rings.

" Dad, where is mom why didn't she answer her call?" Eugene hastily asked without letting the other side speak. His mom is usually the one to pick up the call as soon as they call so how could she not pick up today which was really weird.

" Eugene," a rasping voice call his name. Eugene was shocked despite hearing such a harsh voice he could still recognise it was his father's voice that was answering him. He heard a gunshot and car roar in the background. The situation on the other side seems to be chaotic.

" Father! What happened? how come I hear the gunshots, Are you and mom ok?" his voice and hand tremble with worry and bad thoughts regarding the situation.

" Eugene, everything is under control for now but your mother.....she... is shot, I am on the way to the hospital, I will meet you in the central hospital and tell you everything," before they could ask the proper condition of Reena, Marcus hung up the call.

Leaving both Olivia and Eugene were shocked by this development.

" This day is surely the worst day for us, first our son and now mom, what's happening! Sighhhh," Eugene couldn't help but rub between the gap of two eyes. He was frustrated. Olivia and Luna were also helpless with his development

" Dad, everything will be okay. Brother and grandma will be alright in no time," Luna soothingly rub her dad's back. He gently smiles at his understanding daughter," Hmm."

" Yes honey," Olivia also nodded her head in agreement but only her heart knows how anxious she was.

Where Luna was reassuring her parents her grandpa was thinking about what happened today.

Marcus didn't know how others bypass the security but if not for the gift his grandson give I'm the last time he would have been dead by now.

Thinking about his grandson Marcus couldn't help soften a little," I would have to reward the little brat."

" Marcus....." He heard the soft voice calling his name. He looked at his beloved wife in his arms who look pale from the blood loss but thanks to heaven she was shot in the hands, not any vital organs.

This was all thanks to His grandson's little robotic kitten which at the right time diverted the bullet resulting in her being shot in the shoulder if not his wife would have been dead.

Thinking about it the bullet was meant for him but Reena come in between to save him, he was so horrified at that time, if he died then it won't be a big problem but if something happens to Reena he would have been a living corpse, thankfully the kitten jump at the perpetrator making him lose balance which results in the bullet being diverted from its original direction at heart to being shot at the shoulder.

" Wife, don't speak and rest for a while, we will reach the hospital soon, ok" Reena roll her eyes at her husband.

" You! I am only shot not a bullet just grazed my shoulder, so don't exaggerate the situation, I am fine. Why do you have to inform Eugene to only worry him!" Reena reprimands her hubby.

She did get shot though thanks to the little kitty the bullet just grazed her, however, her overprotective hubby just had to use the filter in his eyes and made it as if she was dying! Uff....

" No matter what you have lost blood and look so pale so we have to get to the hospital and matter about Eugene, he was the one who call me saying you didn't pick his call or something....huh! why did that brat call you?" Marcus patiently coaxes his wife sternly while explaining he was wrongly accused of informing Eugene when he suddenly remembers his son didn't seem to tell him why did he call them.

" Hubby, something must have happened, call Eugene!" Reena worriedly looked at Marcus urging him to call back.

Marcus called but this time Eugene didn't pick up the call. Marcus couldn't help scold Eugene in his heart, ' this brat why isn't he picking the call just you wait!.....'

" Wife, don't worry, Eugene said he will be at the hospital so he would be there, waiting for us, so when we arrive there all we have to do was ask him so just relax for now ok," Reena felt uneasy though after hearing Marcus remarks she reluctantly complies with her husband wishes.

Eugene who was being scolded by his father was diligently arranging the room for his mother and son.

He quickly led the best doctors in the hospital to his son's ward.

Adrian sat beside Lucas holding his hand with no intention to leave his beloved for even a minute.

Doctors looked at Eugene and Olivia for help but they shook their heads, " Check him like this he won't be a problem."

The doctor quickly check him but couldn't find anything so they suggest doing some other tests this time Adrian was hesitant but Luna angrily dragged him, " If you want my brother to be fine then let doctors do their work!"

Luna huff and puffed angrily at Adrian, even a little she could understand Adrian's mentality after all the one who fainted wasn't only Adrian's beloved but also her brother though that doesn't mean she would let him come between her brother's treatment.
