NAUGHTY CHILD

Marcus looks incredulously at his grandson. He was astonished and amazed though he quickly hides his thoughts.

" Husband isn't it....." Reena secretly poked her husband on his waist and pointed at the dog in Joey's hand.

" Umm, we will talk about this later on," Marcus didn't let her complete the sentence.

Lucas, who was walking to his grandparents could already guess what his grandparents were conversing about, winks at his grandma.

" You naughty child! how could you wink at my wife?" Marcus who saw this couldn't help but berate Lucas for behaving like a hooligan with his wife.

Lucas cheekily laughs at him even challenging his grandpa by kissing his grandma on her cheeks.

Before Grandpa Marcus could scold him any further he was caught by Adrian.

Adrian grabbed Lucas's shoulder taking Lucas off guard.

" Brother Lucas are you cheating on me," Adrian's lowly whisper in his ears made Lucas flustered.

With how Adrian called him brother Lucas he was seriously afraid of developing a psychological shadow toward this 'brother Lucas' word.

" What do you mean by cheating? I am just kissing my grandma ok," Lucas couldn't help but roll his eyes once he regain his composure.

" You are my boyfriend for a month so at least for this one month, you have to behave like a good wife," Adrian's hand slowly slide down to Lucas's waist as he reminded Lucas to behave.

" Who is your wife huh? Even if we pretend to date I am the husband and you're the wife," saying that Lucas elbowed Adrian in embarrassment.

Luna who saw her brother in the arms of a pervert quickly come forward to save her oblivious brother from a wolf in sheep clothing who wouldn't miss a chance to eat some meat of her unguarded brother. She pulls her brother in the name of having a serious discussion, leaving Adrian behind.

Adrian just indulgingly chuckles looking at a pair of brother and sister.

Marcus and Reena who saw Adrian's indulging look at their grandchild couldn't help but show a knowing smile.

After such a commotion all people were looking at Lucas with an admiring gaze making George and Joey uncomfortable.

Maria who was busy complaining to her husband about how her dad didn't love her like in the past also notice the situation.

She saw her daughter and son looking awkward.

Joey was feeling uncomfortable and slightly irritated because her spotlight was stolen whereas George he was unhappy because he made his sister sad trying to humiliate Lucas and even it ended up in promoting other ones' popularity.

George walks to his sister who was playing with Snow with her friends. He gently pulled her from the midst of her friends to apologise, " Sorry sister for putting cousin Lucas in the spotlight."

" It's ok, brother, It's not your fault. It's just he was lucky that our grandparents came just in time to rescue him," Joey smiled at her brother.

She knew her family loves her very much and she herself also don't like her uncle and his family. Their parents have told them how their uncle stole what belongs to them and how what was their uncle's was supposed to be theirs so she hates them.

Maria didn't want to ruin the day for her baby girl and make her sad. So as to bring the spotlight to her baby girl she announces it was finally time to cut the cake which earns the response she was looking for.

Marcus and Reena finally remember that they are here for their granddaughter's birthday, walked to the birthday girl.

They stood beside Koey waiting for her to blow the candle and wish for a wish.

Joey blew the candles and finally cut the cake giving the first bite to her mother and family.

Everyone cheered.

Marcus and Reena gifted her a red diamond necklace. It was beautiful.

Many of Joey's friends rush towards her to admire the necklace. Joey was truly proud to show off the gifts she got today.

Despite not liking Lucas she loved the gift he brought for her. While Joey was busy attending her friends Marcus and Reena went to inform Matrian they were leaving.

Marcus and Reena excuse themselves from the party saying they were old enough and they need proper rest.

Before leaving Marcus signal Lucas to follow him.

Lucas went to Maria telling her they have to leave since they have monthly assessments tomorrow and can't be late anymore.

Nobody insists on them staying. After all, she can't say him to forget your monthly assessment and just enjoy the party so she could only let Lucas leave with his friends.

George wanted to humiliate Lucas in front of everyone but since his plan had already failed he couldn't pressurize them to stay.

He didn't want to spoil his good cousin image so soon and Lucas staying behind means he hoarding the spotlight of his sister so he could only admit defeat for today.

Before leaving the party they once again wished Joey happy birthday and left.

Just as they left the venue Sebastian terminal suddenly rang. Sebastian looked at the caller's name only to find the strings of numbers but when he see those numbers Sebastian froze for a sec.

But everybody notice this subtle change but they brushed it up thinking it was personal.

" Bro, is there any problem? is it mom?" Grace who knew what may have happened come to the rescue.

" Umm, I am afraid she knew we ditch our evening class to join the party. I would go take this call and try to explain," Sebastian embarrassedly scratched his head then excuse himself.

Sebastian walks towards the car leaving the others behind.

" I will also come! you guys go and talk with your grandpa, we will meet you at the car." Grace first cried at Sebastian then turning around she apologetically looked at her friends and went after her brother.

" Something fishy?" Hayden who was just behind Sebastian muttered but all the people present do hear him.

Adrian and Lucas also couldn't help but frown but they still collect themselves and focus on the work at hand at first.

As for Luna and Amelia, they shrugged their shoulders letting their brothers handle the matter.
