Prologue

She closed her book and placed it on her lap. She looked up the sky and squinted her eyes. It was a sunny day. She decided to go to the park and sit on the bench and read a book. Many people were also spending their spare time in the park. Some are running, walking their dogs, eating and chatting with friends on the grass.

It was a typical scene for some romantic movies, so she decided to do this. She decided to sit alone on a bench near the fountain. She was also wearing her floral hat and sunday dress paired with her five inches tall stilettos. She curled her long brown hair and let it flow down her shoulders. She was ready for a romantic encounter with a stranger that will soon be her lover. She was waiting for Mr. Right.

She was praying for a strong wind every time she saw a cute guy passed by her. It's for her hat to be blown away and for him to go and get it for her.

She was waiting for some handsome working man to sit with her, talking with some important business on his phone. And then looked at her and smile after the phone call.

She was anticipating for a fetching stick to fall on her bench and a dog will get it, and of course her frightened face is ready and then some cute dog owner will go after his dog and apologize to her.

She was imagining for a sentimental guy to approach her and talk to her about the book that she was reading. She decided to read the most controversial and "New York Time Best Selling" novel.

But with all of these hopes and wasted time, and while she was with the book and looking presentable and peaceful, many things were running in her mind. Its summer and she was literally sweating and the hat was not helping. There was no wind to freshen her up and shades from the trees to cover her. She was exposed and it was 2pm in the afternoon. She was also getting sleepy with the book she was "reading". She is not bookworm but what was she doing? She hated reading. She is not a peaceful girl, more different from what she look at this moment. She is a Judo and Karate black belter. She was a star player for women's soccer back when she was in college. She plays the drums in her heavy metal band.  She would rather play Defense of the Ancient on her PC than putting on a makeup and fixing her hair. She is 24 years old and still single since birth. Desperation is her only option. Optimism is no longer a solution. It's either she will have a boyfriend before 25 or she will be an old maid. Even though she is not girly and soft spoken, she still believes in fairy tale. She is hopeless romantic. She wanted to meet Mr. Right at the right and at most romantic place and situation ever.

She was about to give up because it was already 5pm and the makeup on her face already melted from the heat. The book that she was forcibly reading, decided not to like her as well. She was getting so sleepy with the book, though she still kept it open on page 105, the whole waiting time. She kept herself busy and awake by listening to some heavy metal songs from her player and browsing Twitter using her phone.  She's tired and sleepy. For a Saturday afternoon, she's usually practicing with her band for their next performance but here she is, sitting alone and desperately waiting for Mr. Right. She saw many cute guys but no one approached her. There was no wind to blow her hat off, not dog to frighten her, no busy working men and no sentimental guys who loves books.

How long will I wait?
