How possible is it to hide from your housemate?
When Rachel met Noah in the kitchen that evening, she realized it was going to be impossible. As long as the two of them were indoors, there was a good possibility of that happening. So the only thing she could do whenever she met him was run away. That was what she was about to do when Noah stood in front of the door, blocking her path.
"Are you going to keep avoiding me?" Noah asked Rachel in a quiet voice. "That's not fair."
She looked up at him and met his gaze. "Then... what do you want me to do?" She asked quietly. What was she supposed to do exactly? Pretend like she hadn't said all she had said to Noah? Treat him like her brother's friend? Pretend she didn't like him and still hang around him as usual? He had to be joking, right?
"Talk to me," he said quietly.
"Like before." He added.
