House Of The Dragon-For The Queen, Not The Prince

(Prequel To The Black Lord) [Takes place before/during/after the Dance of Dragons] Aerion Targaryen is the son of Daemon Targaryen and Rhea Royce. The Rogue Prince drunkenly forced the consummation of his marriage to the Lady Rhea and easily discarded her and his son after he was born. Aerion then grew up with an absent father, only rarely getting gifts from his Uncle, King Viserys. He took part in the Dance of The Dragons, supporting the only person he found worth fighting for. The First Dance: Vermithor vs Vhagar

(Third Person POV)

Aerion quickly mounted on Vermithor who had lowered himself, "Alright..." he said as he sat atop the saddle, "This is a bad spot to be in..."

"Soves!"

Vermithor let out a roar and flapped his wings, taking off into the sky as Vhagar quickly approached, returning the roar.

Criston Cole quickly ran to Gwayne, "Get up!" He said as he grabbed him by the arm, "This is about to get bad!!"

Aemond, who was mounted on Vhagar, narrowed his eye, "So you're here, Aerion..." He said, "Making a mess of my army...."

"Dracarys"

Vhagar opened her maw and unleashed a massive beam of flames that aimed at Vermithor who swiftly avoided it as he flew up into the sky and away from Vhagar. The flames hit the ground and caused a massive explosion that took the lives of the nearby soldiers who were unfortunate enough to be there.

Cole dragged Gwayne who was bleeding out away from the fray, "Aemond, shit!" He cursed, "Our men!"

Vhagar let out a roar as she flew towards Vermithor who circled around and returned the roar, Aerion sitting atop the saddle as he looked at them.

"Alright, Aemond." He said as he fasted the straps on his saddle, "Let's see how well you ride."

Vermithor flapped his wings, crackling like thunder as he flew directly at Vhagar, roaring loudly. The massive figure of Vhagar was an imposing sight, even against a dragon as large as Vermithor but that did not dissuade either Aerion nor Vermithor who flew right at the winged titan.

"Vhagar, Destroy them!" Aemond shouted in High-Valyrian

Vhagar let out a roar, a horrifying sound that filled the air, drowning out Vermithor's own roaring. She narrowed her eyes as she spearheaded right at the Bronze Fury.

Aerion cracked his neck, "Angos, Vermithos!"

As the two dragons drew closer, the Bronze Fury immediately swooped down, spinning upside down as he clutched on Vhagar's leg. The force of this maneuver was enough to jerk the entirety of Vhagar's massive body, stopping her flight as she looked down and opened her maw to fire flames at Vermithor.

Vermithor flapped his wings, maneuvering himself away form the fire, avoiding them completely while pulling Vhagar down. This move took Aemond by surprise who held on to the handles of his saddle as Vermithor roared loudly and immediately followed up with a claw attack to Vhagar's belly, his sharp claws piercing through and drawing blood.

Vhagar let out a pained shriek as Vermithor let go of her leg, straightening up and immediately lunging for her tail, digging his teeth through her flesh as the winged titan jerked away, flapping her wings to get away, slowly tumbling down to the ground.

Vermithor let go of her tail and flapped his wings, pushing himself away and opened his maw, firing flames at Vhagar's body, avoiding Aemond completely. The flames burned the tail and the back part of the old dragon's body and without wasting time, Vermithor quickly swooped down to push Vhagar down with his claws, piercing her even more.

"Shit!" Aemond shouted in frustration as Vhagar's entire body fell to the ground

Vhagar was able to compose herself, not before crash-landing on the ground, crushing dozens upon dozens of men in the process. This didn't damage her, however, merely angering the old dragon as she looked up and growled, crawling forward with haste. She had to have a running start to take to flight once again and while she did that, many men were crushed and kill as a result.

"Soves!" Aemond commanded as Vhagar flapped her gargantuan wings

Vermithor, however, was already striking once again, firing a beam of flames next to Vhagar. The potency of the flames was enough to cause an explosion that stumbled the green giant slightly but not interrupt her take-off completely. This, in fact, killed more men that were barely able to avoid Vhagar's crushing.

Vermithor flew over Vhagar who was barely taking to the skies, swiping his claw at her neck and nicking her a bit in the process. This caused her to stumble in midair but only angered her even more, the massive dragon roaring in response.

Aerion looked back as Vermithor flew away, gaining distance for another sweep, "Hm." He said, "You're too green...."

Aemond glared at this, "Bah!" He shouted as he steered Vhagar towards them, "I'll fucking kill you."

Vermithor circled around as he let out a roar, looking directly at Vhagar. The two dragons began to fly at each other once again, picking up speed.

"Dracarys, Vhagar!"

Vhagar opened her maw and fired off a massive stream of flames that was aimed directly at the Bronze Fury. Vermithor was steered to avoid it, the heat singing both he and Aerion still. Vermithor opened his own maw and fired off a stream of his flames right at Vhagar, who took the hit as they flew past each other.

"Agh!" Aemond shouted in anger

Vermithor immediately turned around and flapped his wings, quickly lunging forth at Vhagar who had trouble turning due to her size. Vermithor flew over the massive beast and bit at her back, his teeth digging through her flesh which caused her to let out a pained shriek.

Aemond turned to see Aerion's blood-soaked armor, a bit taken aback by this.

"So you've bathed in blood, Aerion!" Aemond shouted as Vermithor let go of Vhagar but remained right behind her.

Aerion reached for something on his saddle and pulled out what looked like a dagger. Then, without saying anything, he flung it right at Aemond.

The dagger flew across the air, spinning around viciously as it struck Aemond in the arm, the blade piercing through his flesh.

"A-Agghh!!!!" Aemond shouted with pain as he clutched his arm, which began to bleed

Vermithor then flapped his wing, flying over Vhagar and immediately swiped his claws at her back once again, ripping her flesh open and without following up, he fly away.

Vhagar, while not severely damaged, was stumbling due to the sudden attacks. She was bleeding just like Aemond and the two of them were not happy about it.

Aemond looked over to see Vermithor breathing fire down at the ground, burning the army, almost as if Aerion decided to ignore them.

"Shit!" Aemond said with anger, "You think you can pull this again?!"

Vhagar turned around and flew directly at Vermithor who roared loudly as he flew over her with ease and like nothing, performed the same attack as before; using his claws to push her down. This time, he clutched onto her neck and pushed her down harder than before. Vhagar's entire body crashed against the ground as she let out a pained shriek.

As soon as she crashed, causing Aemond to hang on for dear life, Vermithor flapped his wings and took flight again, proceeding to burn the army once again.

One thing was clear to Aemond Targaryen; he was outclassed. This ate him up inside and filled him with an indescribable rage.

Vhagar slowly pulled herself up and took flight again, flying away from the army as the entirety of it was scattering, trying to escape Vermithor's flames.

Aerion noticed this and shook his head, "Coward."

He then looked down and saw the burning battlefield, massive walls of flames and smoke. Something told him that it was enough work for the day and he was in fact feeling a bit of fatigue, but only barely.

"Hm..." Aerion said as he looked to the direction of where King's Landing was, the same direction Vhagar was going, "....Nah."

"That's enough, Vermithos." Aerion said, "I've had my fill of death for the day. Consider this another Victory. That makes Four."

Considering that Criston Cole's army was scattering in fear of getting destroyed and Aemond retreating, it was safe to say that this too was Aerion Targaryen's victory.

Satisfied with this, Aerion steered Vermithor away, his blood-soaked cloak flowing in the wing as The Bronze Fury let out a resounding roar.

"A little break...." Aerion said,

"And we go back to Tumbleton."
