“Well hello, she-devil,” I said sliding between Zira and her locker with my arms crossed. “That doesn’t seem to be the smartest idea,” Oliver said pointedly, standing beside me in solidarity. That was one of my favorite things about Oliver. Even when he knew you were about to do something stupid or possibly dangerous, he would still stand beside you having your back no matter what.

“What do you want, Daniel?” Zira said in a near growl. “And don’t you dare use your hypno eyes on me.” She added with a scowl.

“Don’t worry. The hypno eyes don’t work on people who don’t have a heart.” I said glaring at her.

“Did you really cause a fight with Katherine on her first day back?” I demanded. Zira smirked before pushing at my shoulder. I moved away watching as Zira put away her books.

“What if I did?” Zira said giving me a side eye.

“You and your boy-toy going to attack me?” Zira asked quizzically.
