The boy stared at the girl in disbelief.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
She nodded. "I made my decision."
"You know if this fails-"
"I'll stay and make sure he doesn't get you three."
He looked down at the girl in a different way he hadn't yet.
"You weren't lying when you said you want US to go, were you?."
"No."
He looked at the two boys seeing them looking out the window. One placed his hand on the glass while admiring the sky.
The older boy inhaled deeply through his nose.
"Okay, let's say this plan does work. He has a vehicle. He would hunt us down."
"Not if you take the vehicle."
"Ha, like you would ever be able to find the keys."
"I'll have them by the end of the night, that's when we go with the plan."
"You know this is suicide for you."
Jess nodded. "I know.. but knowing you three are safe.. I'll do anything."
The boy sat down while glancing outside one last time.
"You know.. your not bad after all."
Jess stood on her feet. "I'll see you later tonight." She said walking out of the room.
When she made her way to her room she saw the man walk out from the kitchen in new clothes.
"Oh hello darling, hope you slept well."
"I did thank you sir."
"Something on your mind kiddo?"
"Oh uhh no."
"Come on, talk to me. Something's clearly upsetting you. You can tell your father."
Jess's heart sank as she realized her plan could easily work. He was practically handing the boys over to her. For she was the key for their chance for survival.
