The Yakuza (1)

Rena and I drove to Kuchisaki, Tsukijuzu and I stared out the window. The only thing I thought about was getting my Aki back. I didn't care what I had to do to get her back. I was more than mad. I was enraged that her own parents would lie to her and trick her like that just for some money.

"Archer. I understand you're mad, but save that energy for when we get to the place." Rena said.

"You've had history with this Yakuza before?" I asked.

"Yeah. I used to be in a bad neighborhood and their Yakuza was in my neighborhood at the time. I hated them. They would always cause trouble in the town I stayed at. I grew tired of it and challenged the leader to a fight. I beat the shit out of her. Relentless punching. Bam! Left hook. Bam. Right hook. She wasn't able to land a single hit on me. Boom! Hit her with a right straight. Clobbered her right in the face and down she went. After that...they wanted revenge. They broke into my house, hurt my mom and kidnapped my sister...then..." Rena said then gripped the steering wheel tightly and began tearing up.

I looked at Rena and noticed her tears. I've never seen her cry before. She's never really let herself be vulnerable around anyone.

"They killed my little sister. I was beyond enraged. I felt....hatred. I wanted to kill them, but in the end the police was informed about the incident and they moved away before I could get my revenge." Rena said and sniffled. "I don't want you holding back against these fuckers..."

I noticed we stopped at a stop light then I wiped her tears for her. "We won't let them kill Aki. We will get her back. Even if they move locations, we will go to the ends of the earth for her. She's a sister to you and she's a woman I want to spend the rest of my life with."

"You've been losing all your fights but you have to be one of the most persistent people I know. Life knocks you down and you seem to always recover. This may be our last time ever living. This is a gang we are talking about. There are no longer rules on these grounds. It's either fight or die trying." Rena said. "I know how these people operate. They never fight one on one so we can't risk splitting up. How much experience do you have with guns?"

"I have my gun licence and I've been hunting with my dad from time to time. I'd say in pretty experienced." I said.

"Good because I won't show any mercy against these bastards. Open the glove compartment.." Rena said then started driving.

I opened the glove compartment and looked surprised. I took the pistol out of the glove compartment. It was a black pistol with a silver design on the body of the pistol. There was another one with a gold design. "You keep your guns in here?"

"I kept them just in case I needed to take down Raidon alone. Now I have a reason to kill him." Rena said.

"No...let me take him. Raidon more than likely has her. I don't know if I want to kill him, but I know I'll beat him until he's nothing but a bloody pulp." I said.

"That's the type of energy I like. Let's go save Aki...and end this Yakuza Organization once and for all." Rena said. "They've been nothing but trouble for me and everyone else."

Rena kept driving to the location and soon we made it. Rena immediately recognized this location. She parked the van and I handed her one of the pistols.

"This city is ran by the Yakuza now. There's no police in the city at all. Once we get out of this van and take our first steps into the city, that's it. We can not turn back. Are you ready?" Rena asked.

I took a deep breath and exhaled. I made sure we had back up magazines for our pistols. I shook away my fears and doubts. I only thought about getting Aki back. Nothing else except Rena's and Aki's safety mattered. "I'm ready."

Rena nodded and unlocked our doors then we got out the van. I looked at the city and closed the door. Rena closed her door as well and walked forward. I followed her and together we took our first steps into Kuchisaki, Tsukijuzu. I holstered my gun and followed Rena. She holstered her gun as well.

"This city is pretty huge. We might not know where to start so that's when we start wandering." Rena said. "Come on."

I nodded and followed Rena's lead.

Aki grunted lightly as she was tied to a chair. "Why are you doing this?!"

"We told you. We need the money! We are in debt!" Sato yelled.

"I could care less about your fucking issues! You betrayed me! Again! Why?! Why can't you just...be real with me? Why don't you want me anymore..?" Aki said as tears formed in her eyes.

Nightmare laughed. Aki looked at Nightmare and glared at him. "Pathetic little girl. They don't want you anymore because you're nothing! As little girl until now, you remain nothing. I don't know Raidon's fascination with you, but all I see is just a pathetic...weak-minded..."

"That's enough Nightmare." Raidon said as he walked up. He walked over to Aki and grabbed her hair. "Aki isn't pathetic. She's got perfect attributes. Because of that she can produce a perfect child. Rin's perfection was just an illusion. She made me believe she had what you didn't. Soon I realized that she was just a fraud. Archer doesn't understand your perfection."

Aki grunted as Raidon held her chin. She tries to look tough, but she was beyond scared.

"If Archer shows up...don't kill him. Just leave him to me. I know Rena is gonna be with him. Deal with her. She's a fighter so I know she's not going down easy." Raidon said and walked off.

Rena threw one of the goons over her shoulder and stomped on their face. She let their arm go then dodged a punch from another. I ran to him and bashed his head with a baseball bat. He fell to his knees and I kept hitting his head with the baseball bat. Rena had to pull me off him, but I kept trying to hit him.

"He's done! Calm down!" Rena yelled.

I stopped and panted. I was out for blood. I know my parents taught me to fight only to defend myself, but this was a fight for my life as well as Aki's and Rena's. I tossed the baseball bat on the ground.

"Save that killer instinct for when we fight the big guys." Rena smiled at me.

I nodded. "Okay.."

"Seems like you're learning how to street fight as we fight more and more. You're pretty skilled not gonna lie. I wonder where all that skill was when you were against Raidon the first two times." Rena said and let me go.

We noticed a man walking toward us. He wore a white suit, pants, and shoes. He carries a katana on his hip and had a lit cigarette in his mouth.

"Well well...if it ain't Rena Kudo. It's been a long time since I've seen you." The man smirked.

"Ethan." Rena said.

Ethan looked at me and laughed. "A fellow American? Damn. Yo man, you lost? She's helping you find your way home?"

I glared at Ethan. "No. I'm here to get my girlfriend back. We took down an entire mob of Yakuza Goons."

"Is that so? Well Nightmare did inform me that a bunch of goons were taken down. I'm here to handle the issue so if you wish to know where our main base is...you'll have to get through me." Ethan said and took his cigarette out of his mouth then flicked it to the side.

"I beat your ass once...I will gladly do it again." Rena said.

"Come at me then, bitch." Ethan said.

Rena ran to Ethan and picked up a stray baseball bat and swung it at Ethan. He dodged it and taunted her. She mixed in a few kicks with her swings, but Ethan was just too swift for Rena. It was clear that he's been training. He kicked Rena backwards and she groaned as she rolled on the ground.

I couldn't stand aside and watch Rena get beat up. I also didn't want to kill Ethan as he was the one who knew where the hideout was. I ran into battle and kicked some dirt into the air. Ethan smirked and unsheathed his katana then Rena pulled me back as Ethan sliced horizontally.

"We have to play the long distance game now..." Rena said. Rena unholstered her pistol and smirked. "This is bringing back memories.."

Ethan laughed and pointed his sword at Rena. "Come on! Show me that drive you had when you were just 15! Where's the Yakuza Slaying Rena I once knew?!"

"She's right here!" Rena said and threw off her jacket. She unsheathed her tanto and ran ahead firing bullets at Ethan.

He used his katana to block and deflect the bullets even cutting one in half. He ran to her and slashed at her, but she blocked his attack with her tanto. She grunted and pushed him back and fired more bullet at him, but he managed to move out of the line of sight before she fired the bullets. He slashed down again, and once again she blocked the attack. He kicked her back and she fired a bullet at him as she hit the ground. The bullet missed him and he chuckled.

Rena stood up slowly and unloade her empty magazine with ease. She loaded in a new clip and looked at Ethan.

"You gotta realize it Rena. We are somewhat the same. We both fight for the same cause to protect someone we value. Raidon is someone I value. Him and his father are the ones who helped me when I was low. I refuse to disappoint them...that's why...I'm killing you!" Ethan said and ran to Rena.

He sliced at her continuously, Rena grunted as she kept blocking and dodging his attacks. She dodge rolled out of the the way of one of his attacks and fired five bullet at him. The bullets missed him and he laughed then slashed down at her once again. She used her pistol to block it, but her pistol ended up being sliced in two.

"This is your end!" Ethan yelled and groaned as I tackled him.

We fell to the ground. I grabbed a rock and hit his head with it and grunted with each hit. He punched my face and grunted. I didn't lose my balance. I unholstered my gun and shot his wrist. He yelled in pain and he dropped his katana. I gripped his neck and held the barrel of my pistol against his forehead.

"Die." I said coldly and Rena stopped me.

"Wait! Wait! We need info from him!" Rena said.

I looked back at Rena then stood up and shot his legs so he couldn't stand up. "Where is your hideout? Where is Aki?!"

Ethan groaned and grunted in pain. "The hideout is on the main street named Ryusaki and their hideout is gonna be a large building! It's heavily guarded by the Yakuza..! Good luck getting to your precious girlfriend before Raidon has her way with her!" Ethan laughed then groaned as I put more bullets into his body.

"Bleed out." I said then walked away from him.

Rena picked up his katana and walked away with me. She looked at his katana. "Aki...we are coming...Stay strong. Archer and I will make sure these fuckers pay."
