An Act of Jealousy (1)

We finally got home and Aki changed her clothes and I took off my hoodie, tossing it in my dirty clothes basket. I walked back into Aki's room then knocked on the door. She looked at me and a small smile appeared on her face. I closed the door behind myself then walked to her bed and sat down on the edge of the bed. I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and she leaned against me.

"Sorry for making you go through that. I honestly thought it was gonna be some lame haunted house.." I said and rubbed her shoulder gently.

"It's okay. There's no way you would've known. You probably thought I was just scared." Aki said and looked up at me.

"Honestly yeah...then you froze up and your body became cold. From there I knew you were terrified...it was almost like...no it was trauma. I've never seen anyone react like you. That clown knew your name...who is he?" I asked.

"Nightmare the Clown...He was the same clown who scared me half to death as a little girl and I really mean I almost died because I was so scared. I was only like five or six at the time. Nightmare the Clown is a family thing for those people all male as well and they all know me. His name Nightmare might seem corny, but the fact they all know me from when I was little girl until now." Aki sighed softly and closed her eyes.

I looked at Aki and gently caressed her cheek. She opened her eyes to look at me. "I remember when I used to be terrified of clowns..."

"Yeah? You were afraid of that one woman who turned her head 180 degrees." Aki laughed a bit.

"Come on, how could I not be? She was a human who was flexible enough for that..! That was hella creepy!" I shivered at the thought of the woman. "Plus she was screaming play with me and it just gave me Literature Club vibes all over again."

Aki smiled and held my hand then looked at our hands. "Despite the haunted house...that was probably the best date I've ever been on. I'm looking forward to our future dates.."

"Me too.." I smiled.

We shared a kiss then the door opened. We stopped kissing and noticed it was Rena.

"Rena! Don't scare us like that!" Aki said. "I thought you were a jealous somebody."

Rena smiled and looked at us. "I was just stopping by to say I heard what happened at the Amusement Park. My friends told me about it."

"W-What do you mean..? We just went on rides." Aki said.

"Mhm..~ I brought some food back if you're hungry. Mitsuki and her friends are still out so it's gonna be take out until tomorrow." Rena said.

"Okay, now get out!" Aki smiled.

"Alright alright..~" Rena smiled and closed the door.

"Now where were we?~" Aki asked.

"I believe we were right about here..~" I said then kissed her lips again.

Rena walked down the stairs and looked at Momoko. "Hey Moko, you're back pretty early."

Momoko looked at Rena and smiled. She shrugged and sighed. "All I did was watch a movie and hang out at the mall with my friends. Nothing really special."

"Ahh, well I brought some food home if you're hungry." Rena said then went over to sit on the couch.

Momoko nodded then went upstairs to change her clothes to fresh ones. After changing clothes she stopped at Aki's door after hearing some laughter.

"H-Hey! Stop that tickles!" Aki laughed and tried to push my head away from her neck.

"Come on you asked for it! You wanted to know how I felt!" I chuckled.

"Now I know and I hate it!" Aki laughed.

Momoko had a jealous look on her face. She just walked off and went back downstairs.

Monday arrived and everything was back to normal...Well mostly. Sayaki, Suki, and Aki were back to walking together to school. Rena left some time after them. Mitsuki and Orime walked to the university together. I was left waiting for Momoko because she requested that I walk to school with her.

Momoko finally came down stairs and smiled at me. "Sorry for being late!~ I was fixing my hair, I have a terrible case of bad hair day.."

"I understand that sometimes." I chuckled and looked at her. I watched her walk to me with a necklace in her hand.

"Can you help me put this on?" She asked.

"Yeah sure." I said then took the necklace out of her hand.

She moved her hair and I began to put her necklace on for her. She looked up and gazed into my eyes as I did. I looked at her and my cheeks became a little red.

"Why are you staring at me so intently..?" I asked.

"This is probably the closest we'll get to each other so I wanna make the most of it as I can." Momoko said.

I finished putting on her necklace and scratched my head then walked toward the door. "Come on, we are gonna be late."

'He completely disregarded my statement!' Momoko thought to herself.

She walked over to the door as well. We put on our shoes and left the house. I locked the door and we walked along the path to the university. There was silence between us. It was almost awkward. It was strange because before I began dating Aki, our interactions were never...awkward.

"So Uhm, Momoko. I don't think we have any classes together outside of History. We rarely get to interact outside of History." I said.

"Y-Yeah. Strange. You have Aki for two classes in a row so it's only understandable on why you two grew so close." Momoko giggled and smiled at me.

From that moment I knew, Momoko was forcing herself to be happy. She was jealous of Aki. I felt it from those few words she spoke, but it was her who wanted us to get our shit together...and it is her who made herself jealous as she witnessed how close me and Aki became.

"Momoko.." I started.

"Hm?" She looked at me.

I wanted to ask her if she knew about me and Aki being a couple now. By the way she speaks...it seems like she does, but there is always a possibility that she doesn't know about it. In the end I chickened out.

"So how do you think you did on the project?" I asked.

Momoko shrugged and sighed. "The project itself was nearly impossible as I had no clue about what she was talking about. It felt like she was just talking just to talk then handed out the project."

"Yeah I felt the same. I felt like what she taught was her own headcanon about what happened in that time frame." I said. She giggled at what I said.

We made it onto campus with ten minutes to spare. Momoko and I walked to the table where Aki and the others sat. I sat beside Aki and she bumped my shoulder playfully. I smiled and chatted with the others. Ten minutes go by and the first bell rang for class. We all got up and walked into the building for class. I was holding Aki's hand as we walked down the hall and Momoko watched us and had her cheeks puffed with a hint of jealousy.

We walked into class and went to our seats. After all the students came into the class and everyone took their seats and the professor walked in, class was now in session.

"Alright class! I graded everyone's projects and I'm quite surprised! Everyone did pretty well with what little information was given! Now we will work on a more fun project. This project will be about the history of two Japanese lovers, Hideyoshi Itsuka and Otsuka Yoshino. This will be a duo project so make sure to grab your partner and study hard! I want you to do a play and the best performance will get rewarded greatly!" The professor said.

The class murmured and was surprised. I already had my partner in mind. My mind went straight to Aki. If we had to kiss during the performance, I was most comfortable with kissing her. I was about to ask her until...

"Archer, I want you to be my partner." Momoko said excitedly.

"What?!" Aki said surprised.

"Eh..?" I said confused.

"I hope you don't mind me taking him from you for a bit~" Momoko smiled sweetly at Aki.

"I-I mean...I guess you can, but-"

"Great!~" Momoko giggled and smiled at me.

'Holy shit...she most definitely knows and she's trying something foolish. I have to tread carefully. She knows I'm dating Aki...why would she even still try this..? There's no point in contesting the idea since I wouldn't have much of a choice at the end of the day...She already made up her mind.' I thought to myself.

The class went on as normal and the bell rang signalling class to end. We all got up and left the classroom to go to our next class. Aki and I headed to gym together.

"Hey Aki...do you think she knows..?" I asked.

"100%. What other reason would she try this? She's been jealous of me since we started talking. She's getting rather bold." Aki scoffed. "You better watch your step.."

"Why are you telling me this? My heart belongs to you." I said and wrapped my arm around her shoulder and she smiled, wrapping her arm around my waist.

"Yeah it better be..~" She giggled.

Gym Class was going to be inside today and the guys and girls gym was interconnected as one unlike our gyms in America in High School. The gym was always separated. One gym belonged to the girls and the other belonged to the guys. We changed into our gym clothes and headed into the gym. Aki and I noticed Mitsuki and walked over to her. She had prepared to play volleyball with some others which included Raidon and Rin.

"They wanted me to play volleyball with them. I've never played before. Maybe you two can teach me?" Mitsuki smiled at us.

"Yeah sure, let's go." Mitsuki smiled.

We had a coach referee us and it was out ball. Aki held the ball in her hand as she was serving the ball. She tossed the ball in the air then ran ahead then jumped up then hit the ball, sending it flying across the bet. Rin used her arms to knock the ball back into the air. One of their teammates tossed the ball in the air. Raidon jumped up and spiked the ball. Mitsuki squeaked and flinched as she noticed the ball flying straight to her. I stepped in front of her and knocked the ball back into the air.

"Mitsuki, you okay?" I asked.

"Y-Yeah." She nodded.

One of our teammates tossed the ball in the air and I ran to position then jumped up and spiked the ball to the ground. The whistle blew and our team got a point.

"Alright, I think the front lines is too much for you. How about you stand in the back and serve the ball." Aki smiled at Mitsuki.

Mitsuki nodded then grabbed the ball and went to position then the whistle blew. She tossed the ball in the air and ran forward and hit the ball as best as she could, but the ball hit the net then landed on the floor. The whistle blew and Raidon's team got the point.

"S-Sorry!" Mitsuki said and looked upset.

I smiled and looked at Mitsuki. "It's alright. Don't worry about it."

I heard my phone ringing and looked back then told the others they would play without me. I walked over to my phone then picked it up off the floor. I answered it. "Hello?"

"Hey Archer, I know you're in Gym Class, but do you think we could meet up at lunch? My laptop died since I forgot to charge it last night." Momoko said on the phone.

"Yeah sure. My laptop should still be good. We can meet up at lunch." I said.

"Great!~ See you at lunch!~" Momoko said then hung up.

I looked at my phone and sighed then set it back down. I walked back onto the court and continued to play volleyball with everyone. Raidon, Rin, and Aki noticed I was a bit distracted, but I reassured them everything was okay. I was only thinking about how much more involved Momoko wanted to be with me now.

The bell soon rang and we all went to the locker rooms to freshen up. Raidon walked to me and I looked at him.

"What do you want?" I said coldly.

"Still hate me huh?" Raidon asked.

"Hate you? Ha...everyone else might've forgiven you, but I sure as hell won't. I will never forgive you nor will I forget." I said.

"I know. And you're in the right for doing so, but I just want to know why you seemed so distracted? I mean you're dating Aki, I thought you would've always remained focused especially around he-

I slammed my locker shut. "It's none of your concern. Now get out of my way. I'm pretty hungry."

He stepped aside and I walked off to the cafeteria after grabbing my stuff. He watched me and crossed his arms.

I got my lunch and sat at the table Momoko wanted to meet up at. She soon showed up and sat beside me and smiled.

"Heya~ So are you ready to get this planned out?" She asked.

"Yeah, let's get this over with. History isn't my favorite class so the faster we get it done, the better." I said.

We began to eat and research at the same time, occasionally telling each other our ideas for the performance. Everything was going smoothly until...

"I think we should include the kissing scene. I mean they fall in love under the moonlight and kiss right? That's a significant part we can't forget." Momoko smiled at me.

'What the hell..?' I thought to myself.
