"Eve!" Lue said firmly. "Let's talk about that later."
Jack not knowing what is going on between them understood the atmosphere and changed the topic, "Let's go back, we need to carry that pig too right? It's almost dark too."
But the tension between Eve and Lue was palpable, and the conversation never recovered. Even after they changed the topic, no one talked.
Everyone circled the dead pig, thinking hard about how are they going to carry it back.
"Can't we just lift it up?" Ayaan asked.
Beric shook his head, "Too heavy!"
He was right, they probably couldn't carry that heavy thing by themselves.
The sun began to dip lower into the sky, casting long shadows through the forest. The light that filtered through the trees took on a warm, golden hue, bathing the forest in a peaceful glow. They knew they had to act fast.
