Yin Zhu realised that the man who was chasing after her at some point arrived right behind her and brought her violently to the ground, now he was squeezing her throat and shoving her face against the harsh ground.

When she realised that she couldn't breathe, she started to kick him on his thigh or wherever she could, if she was going to die then she wanted him to remember that she died while fighting for her life. Her survival instincts kicked in like a wild animal being cornered but she might as well be hitting a freaking wall because the man didn't move, he was like the gloomy palace that she saw earlier, silent yet unmovable.

She felt him compress his fingers at the back of her neck and she was sure that he was going to snap her neck in half.
