THE THERAPIST

THE THERAPIST

This room Sir, A huge man in a three piece white suit directs a young looking man in his early 30”s “Thank you”, he said as he entered into the room.

Oh how lovely the room was, it is as white as snow, with beautiful lightly coloured lilac bulbs. He admired the room in amazement.

“Hello Mr Walter”, a woman standing at a corner dress in a white suit with black long socks. Mr Walter stood up from his chair as he looked at her.

She walked over to a white couch as she sat and looked at him and laid out her hand in a polite order to take a sit. He sat down as he looked at her. She snapped her fingers.

“Mr Walter, what is your burden?” she asks him calmly. “I have one problem, I don’t think it is that big a deal but it disturbs me”, he said to her as she smiled.

“And what problem might that be?” she said as she licked her top lip. “Are life problems illusions?” he asked as he stared at her strongly.

She burst out in laughter after a considerate time of silence. “What is life? What is Death?” she said to him as he kept quiet. “Mr Walter, your question can truly be found in the answers to what I have asked you and I will help you to understand it” she said as she grinned.

“When a man is born, it cries out because it is scared but people are glad that it is alive. Its mother hugs it as the child becomes more calm, why did it become calm Mr Walter?”, she asks him.

“Because it feels a connection to its mother”, he replies back. “No, it is because the child felt the same warmth as the one it felt in the womb”, she says as she smiles.

“That child grows up to a toddler is excited to use its little legs to walk and its mouth to speak and its eyes to read and its teeth to chew, it is indeed very happy, isn’t that so?”, she says as she looks at him, while he nods in agreement.

“The child goes to school and is sad at first but is later happy with school. it makes friends and makes Foes too. It is indeed blessed by the gods with great intellect and makes straight A’s, its parents are indeed proud of it, isn’t it a fact?”she says as he nods again.

“This child now becomes a teenager and moves to a higher education. it learns new knowledge, new friends and new emotions and gets an advanced body”, she says as she licks her top lip.

“This child may get a bigger softer chest with a pitchy voice, hairs in places and monthly pains or this child may get broad big shoulders, hairs in places and a bigger manhood, mmm”, she says as Mr Walter laughs awkwardly a bit.

“This child gets some new friends, luckily of good influence. One day it finally falls in love with someone. It dreams about it, thinks about it. Its friends tell it to try its luck, it agrees as it waits”.

“It goes to propose to its infatuation but is disappointed greatly as its sees its infatuation has another person.”

“It moves on as it moves to seniors. This is where wild life starts. It starts to go wild as it leaves its good friends, it gets wild, starts to go to parties and get in all manners of human lost with no ounce of redemption from it.” She says as Mr Walter cringes.

“It luckily got into the university of its desire, it studies there but is stuck with a drinking problem from its childhood. This is when it will realize life is not a bed of roses only but a bed of very thorny roses”, she says as she laughs.

“This child ends university with a lower class degree and ends up working as a janitor. It later gets married to a woman”, she says to him. Mr Walter’s phone rings. He picks it up and moves to a corner.

“Hey honey, just wanted to check up on you, how is the therapy going?” Mr Walter’s wife says to him. “Good dear but I must go back to it now, bye, love you”, he says to her as he cuts it off suddenly.

He goes back to his seat. “Please continue”, he says. “Let us go to what death is? Shall we now”, she says as she smiles while he nods.

“When a man dies, it cannot go to the afterlife with its prosperity and wealthy, it cannot go with its family, it cannot go with its friends, it cannot go with its foe, it cannot take its desires with, it can only go with its soul, isn’t that sad Mr Walter?”, she asks him.

He bends his head down sadly. She looks at him as she smiles and gently raises his head up slowly.”This is a blessing in disguise”, she says to him as he glares at her.

“When a man dies, its pains are gone, it no longer suffers misery, it has not a single care in the world, it has no rent to pay, no bills to pay, no one to disturb its peace, all its debts are gone, it brings inner peace”, she says to him.

“What are you trying to say? Are trying to say death is a reliever?” he asks her with a weary look on his face. “No Mr Walter, Death is true life”, she says to him as she laughs out while he starts to shake.

“Let me tell you a story. Mrs Jane was a very frustrated woman, she came from a family of four, her, her brother, her father and her mother”, she says as she gives out a sigh.

“Jane was in this horrible family, abused by her father and her brother sexually, she was strong till a disaster happened to her, her mother was killed by her father one night where he came home drunk”, she says as she looks blankly at Mr Walter.

“She beheld her father break his alcohol bottle and stab her mother repeatedly till life was not found in her, Jane became mad as she rushed to the kitchen and went up to her father with a butchers knife”, she continues as tears fall down her eyes and Mr Walter looks in concern.

“She walks to her father and jumps at him as she chops his face and his neck brutally while she screams. She lies down beside his body as she just smiles all bloody with her father’s upper half bleeding and unidentifiable”, she says as she grabs a tissue and dabs it on her eyes.

“Her brother comes in and is shocked. He plans to run as a shot is heard, it has gone through his head as he drops dead. Times later she is taken by the cops and is taken to an asylum”, she says to him as he looks at her an says “Do things get better”, more tears drop from her eyes.

“More days pass as she is tormented by her stay, staffs treat her bad and she has no one, all she says is everything will be fine repeatedly. One day she finally gets to meet a therapist that helps her, frees her from pain, do you know where she is now?” she asks Mr Walter.

He shakes his head in negative to her question. She puts a grin on her face as she says “She is now at peace, she has gone to true life, she has been freed from her pain and what a kind soul, she showed others the way to true life”, she said as she burst out in mad laughter.

Mr Walter in panic stands up and screams “Oh my God, your mad, I have to get out of here”, he runs towards the door, he tries to open it but it refuses. She stands up and walks towards him slowly.

“Get away from me”, Mr Walter screams as he runs to the hall way. He keeps on running as red lights turn on. “Life is an illusion, it brings nothing but he fake pain you feel”, she says to Mr Walter as he keeps on running sweating profusely.

“You are wrong, it is not an illusion, I have people and a family and dreams to live for”. He keeps on running till he enters a white room with a large black tv.

It switches on suddenly as he watches his life. He sees his parent talking. “Our son is such a failure, he is useless, wish I had never bore him”, his mother says as she cries. “Maybe that therapy will fix him”, his dad says to his mom.

Mr Walter removes his glasses as his eyes water. He sees his bestfriend with the boss of the company of his dreams. “Walter is just trash, you don’t need him, you just need me, once he gets the job, you fire him, ok babe?”, his friend says to an old looking woman.

The woman laughs as she kisses him while they start to get freaky. “He told me that the boss was planning on hiring me, he said that”, Walter says as he falls to the ground in tears. The thing goes to his wife.

He sees her kneeling mumbling something he could not hear, suddenly it goes off. “See, no one truly cares about anyone in this illusions”, the therapist says to Walter.

“But my wife”, Mr Walter says as he is cut off. “Her story is worst, you would be dreadful”, she says to him as he bends and cries. “There is only one way Mr Walter, Take my hand” she says as she stretches her arm to him.

“Opportunity comes but once, don’t miss it”, she says. He grabs her hand in silence as they walk out, down the hall way.

“The therapy hospital never existed Mam”, a woman says over the phone to Mrs Walter. She keeps silent as she drops the call.

She goes to rosenburt grave as she walks to her husband’s grave and touches it gently. She then says “LOVE YOU TOO”, as she smiles sinisterly.
