Past Friends

The young male named Haryk walked out of the palace with his leader until they reached the gates then they went their separate ways.

"Take the day off tomorrow, and enjoy the King's award, okay?" His leader smiled as he put half of the award money in the young male's hand before waving goodbye to him.

Haryk thank him before turning away to walk home. He looked down at the award money given to him by his leader and clenched it tight within his hand in anger. He knew his leader took half of what is his, but to argue this fact would make an enemy of the whole security team.

His leader was probably on his way now to treat the rest of the team members with the other half of his award money, while keeping the award for the team for himself.

Haryk is used to the sneaky and underhanded ways of those in power, and he knew King Neia is no different.
