CHAPTER III : END AND BEGINNING
Erudian, the younger brother of Lucas now stands with some paper in his hand. The same ruby red bead seemed to jump out because it saw the scene in front of him. His older brother, Duke Lucas De Castiello was hugging a silver-haired girl who's now beet red, he's not sure about it since the girl hid her look behind his brother's demonic form.
His brother's demonic form?
Seriously, Erudian's mind is raging because of all the relentless shock today. Starting from his brother's order to her fiancé's father to adopt in Lorraine's family. Gilbert the butler then reported that last night after cleaning up some guests who 'came home early', suddenly the lord came home with a girl. Not only that the lord also gave orders to ban anyone from interfering with him.
"Don't you know how to knock on the door, Erudian?" Lucas asked out cold. Erudian swallowing his saliva and trying to clear his throat to remove his nervousness as well as his fear. And walking closer but Erudian was forced to jump backward as Lucas stomped on him with his hand, causing a wide incision to snap on the floor of the room to the wall.
Lucas randomly pulls the blanket lying not far from him. A slightly torn blanket from the Erudian who came like a bar robber. The blanket was then wrapped around Eve's body wearing only a black dress and carried it in Lucas' arms.
Eve unknowingly rests her arms around Lucas' neck while still hiding her face.
"You're crazy? Are you insane? Why bring a girl into the mansion? Then why put on your demonic form? Oh, why did you ask Madeleine to come to take the ad-" Erudian's speech stopped when ruby Lucas's bead glanced at him sharply.
A black flame now appears right at the tip of his index finger, and points towards Erudian. Again Erudian swallows his saliva and discards the face while disgust by it.
Three of them exited through the Hallway leaving Lucas' room looking chaotic, while Eve's position was still in Lucas' arms. Actually, Eve has asked him to put her down, it's just that Lucas is too stubborn so Eve resigns to the Duke who seems to be upset by Erudian's actions.
"Where's Madeleine?" ask Lucas as he enters a room in white and silver.
"She's in the living room, I'm asking her to wait there," Erudian replied from the front door because he did not want to feel Lucas' anger for a second time.
"Follow and accompany Madeleine and wait until we come," Lucas commands while calling one of the maids who immediately rushes out and comes with several pairs of clothes.
"What do you mean for we?" asked Erudian with a clueless look.
Lucas massaged the base of his nose, shouting Erudian in his mind because he still did not understand the situation, anyone would clearly understand who he meant.
"Yes, me and my future wife. The girl in front of you is your future sister-in-law," Lucas said firmly and straightforwardly. Eve only nods a little right before Lucas pulls her over and crosses the view so that Erudian can't see Eve's appearance now.
Erudian was dumbfounded for a few seconds but immediately agreed and said goodbye to doing his brother's orders, as well as Duke Castiello after deciding not to ask too many questions.
"Get ready, I'll wait."
Lucas walks out and leaves Eve still in a state of blush and confusion due to the recent events. Lucas is right in the future there will be many things that surprise her.

Eve walks behind a maid named Helga. Helga herself is the head maid appointed as Eve's personal servant in the future. The girl with the cold look, the straight twilight redhead, and by Eve's estimation she is older than her. Helga opens a door and smiles as she bends down to let the young lady into a room filled with two men and a silver-haired woman just as it were. Eve was surprised for the umpteenth time, but she was still walking when Lucas called.
Eve was sitting next to Lucas reading a stack of paper in front of her. Then the man with a similar stag to Lucas is thought to be the younger brother's and the Duke's right hand is massaged the base of his nose.
The two looked like a pair of twins only for Erudian's hair to be slightly longer so it was tied sideways. Besides Erudian there is a woman with the same silver hair, it's just that the woman in front of her has a golden eye color and a dimple. The woman smiles sweetly and greets Eve as soon as they meet.
"So, first, introduce her she is Eveylna De Lorraine. From now on she is the youngest sister of Madeleine De Lorraine and adopted daughter of Marquis Xiander Wilson De Lorraine. I've talked about it with the Marquis so you just introduced her to Lorrain's family, Mady," clarified Lucas while still focusing on the paper in his hands.
"Well, my brother-in-law understands. Greetings, my little sister, Eve, don't you?" Madeleine smiles so kindly that eve's self-awareness sensors sound for fear of remembering some friendly people as well as Madeleine and often end badly. So that without realizing Eve pulled the end of the shirt that Lucas wore a nervous habit that she often did to his father. Lucas draws focus from a stack of files in front of him and turns to the girl next to him who is still staring at Madeleine silently.
Lucas takes Eve's fingers slowly and rubs them, flashing a smile, Madeleine and Erudian who see the scene choke gently as they have just seen the Duke smiling sweetly at a girl. Lucas' flat glances cause them to go back to acting like they didn't see anything.
"She won't hate or treat you badly Eve. Madeleine is Erudian's fiancé and her family has been in Castiello's hands, so once they sort of doing, their heads will be a guarantee."
Lucas' words make Eve turn her back and look back at the woman who is now her half-sister. Madeleine smiled sweetly as she displayed her hand which seemed to cut her throat.
Madeleine stepped out of her seat and rubbed gently over the top of her new half-sister's head. Carrying her in a warm embrace, her sweet smile is still spot on.
"Welcome to Lorraine little sister, you heard what your future husband said, didn't you?"
"Fu-future husband ..." Eve re-tweeted Madeleine's words with a red tinge, it looks like Lucas has said everything to both of them.
"Live as you wish Eve, my brother even changed your appearance with his magic and took care of all the adoption papers also faked your death as Caroliana," said Erudian who immediately got a sharp glance from Madeliene, honestly Eve felt that her half-sister looked scary in some way.
Wait, what Caroliana's death means. Eve was about to asked Lucas but he answered first.
"I told you. I'm going to take you by my side and when you ask me if I can change your appearance. I already know you don't want to live as Van Alen. You just want to be yourself. That's why I'm changing you to be as close as possible to Lorraine's family, so people will think you're Lorraine's distant brother. Then about Caroliana's death I've taken care of it so that your mother and sibling don't bother you, Is this wrong?"
Eve is silent on digesting Lucas's very very neat plan. When he says he knows everything and acts like he doesn't know who he is, it's all just to make Eve feel comfortable. Why does a demon seem to be acting this sweet, even humans won't do this far.
Eve hit Lucas, smiling and saying thank you while hugging the demon in front of him. Whispered thanks to Lucas over and over again. Lucas himself smiles involuntarily, he doesn't know that saving the girl in front of him will lead him to find something in his life.
"This is the end of Carol's story as well as the beginning of Evelyn's story. Live than with me, because I have brought you to my side," whisper Lucas while reciprocating Eve's tight embrace.
And now another wheel of life is about to spin.
