Chapter 2

~~~Readers POV~~~
Reluctantly, I cleared my throat louder than necessary. He jumped at the noise and immediately sat up straight. I giggled as I watched him collect himself.
"Hey." Said the man, lightly scratching the back of his head and flashing me what I assumed to be a smile.
"Hi…" My voice trailed off. I was shocked at how weak I sounded. There was a pause. I waited for him to say something, but when he didn't, I took the opportunity to ask a few questions.
"Umm…how long have I been here?"
"About three days." He said casually.
'WHAT?! THREE DAYS??' I tried to think back as to how I got in such a bad shape that I was in the hospital for so long.
"What do you remember?" Asked the ninja, breaking my train of thought.
"…um, well, all I really remember is carrying someone, and then I passed out."
He thought for a moment. "My name is Kakashi. What's yours?" Giving me that close-eyed smile again. I had to admit, as scary as this is right now, he really calms me down. I feel safe around him.
"___." I said, "Nice to meet you, Kakashi."
"Well, it's nice to meet you too, ___. I have to tell the Hokage that you've woken up. I'll be back soon." He winked at me and waved. Before I could protest, he disappeared. I was disappointed that he left. But I could at least use this time to try and remember anything. I came to find out that it was no use; hopefully I regain my memory soon. I started to think about if I had a family and if they were worried about me. There was a knock at the door. I jumped at the sudden sound, breaking the silence. 'I wonder who that could be.'
"C-Come in."
"Oh! You're awake!" Exclaimed a pretty pink haired girl. She looked young to be a nurse but she had a strong confidence about her. I could tell she was good at what she did.
I smiled. "Yeah, I am."
"Would you like anything…er…"
"___, my name is ___." Giving her the biggest smile that I could manage.
"Well, ___, do you need anything?" She said with a warm smile.
I thought for a second, and then my tummy grumbled loud. Embarrassed, a blush came across my face and I looked down.
The girl giggled. I'll go get you some food."
She came back a few minutes later with a delicious smelling bowl of soup. I could feel my mouth watering and I wondered how long it's been since I've eaten. She insisted on feeding me, I didn't object since moving hurt so much. In between slurps I asked her some questions. She told me that her name was Sakura and that Kakashi was once her sensei. Hearing his name made me blush a little. I also learned that I was in Konoha and that I had saved a ninja from enemies that were attacking my village. It felt strange to hear it; it was like I was being told about someone else's life. But still sadness came over me; if my village was destroyed it meant that I had no home to go back to, and no family. I was alone. She must've seen that I was sad and so she gathered up the food and left me alone with my thoughts. At first I stayed up waiting for Kakashi to return, but when he didn't I let myself sleep.
In the morning I was still sore and my head hurt, but I felt much better, physically and emotionally. Sakura came in with my breakfast and I happily ate it.
"Hey, Sakura-chan. Can I ask you something?"
"Of course. What's up?" She answered cheerfully.
I was nervous that I wouldn't get the answer I wanted. "C-Could I leave the hospital today?"
She frowned at me. "You still need to rest, your body hasn't healed fully yet."
I was disappointed by her answer, but determined to get my way. "But I've been resting for four days now! I'm not as sore as I was and I'm sure if I start moving more I'll feel a lot better." I gave her my biggest smile and puppy dog eyes, hoping it would help. She let out a big sigh.
"Okay, I will let you go on one condition."
"Yay! Thank you so much, Sakura-chan!"
"Wait! I didn't tell you my condition yet." She said as if I was her child, although im older than her. "you can go into the village only if someone is with you at all times until I see that you're better. "
"Thank you so much Sakura-chan! You can show me around your village then!"
She smiled. "First we need to go to my house and get you into some cute clothes. I wont have you walking around the village in a hospital gown." She said sternly. 'I'm glad Sakura is my friend.' I thought to myself as I smiled.
~~~Kakashi's POV~~~

Trying not to fall asleep, I forced myself awake and propped myself up against a tree. Sitting on one of the higher branches, I looked at the people walking below me and leaned my head back against the tree. ___ was running through my thoughts. There was just something about her, I couldn't help but think about her. I had stayed up watching over her most of the night. Part of me wanted her to wake up and see me, but at the same time part of me didn't. It was a strange feeling. In the corner of my eye I saw (h/l, h/c) hair and a pair of beautiful (e/c) eyes, which broke my train of thought. I'm glad I wear a mask because I could feel myself blush a little. It was ___, she was walking with Sakura. Her eyes were wide as she pointed at all of the shops and sights. I decided to go down and talk to them a bit.

"Hey, guys."

"Oh, hey, Kakashi Sensei! Perfect timing, were just about to get some ramen. Come and join us, it can be your treat!" I sighed as I got dragged into their plans.

"Okay, okay. I'll come."

"Woohoo!" Both of the girls cheered and laughed. They had become good friends.

~~~Readers POV~~~
When we got to Ichiraku's there was a boy there. He wore a black and orange jumpsuit and blonde spiky hair to top off the look. He must've had five empty bowls beside him, and he was still eating!
"Wow! You must be hungry." I said to him with a smile.
"Hehe, yeah. I just finished a long day of training!" He said as he wiped his mouth.
"Naruto, this is ___. She is the one who saved Masuko." She said proudly. "___, this is Naruto, the dumbest ninja in the whole village."
"HEY! I'M GOING TO BE HOKAGE ONE DAY! JUST YOU WATCH!"
They went on bickering for a little while. Then Kakashi gave a loud sigh and suddenly both of them were in head locks. It was so fast I think everyone was shocked. Well, except for Naruto, that is.
He let out a groan. "Kakashi Sensei. Let me goooo. I need to eeaaaat." He said squirming, trying to make his way to his ramen.
I giggled as he set them down. We all took our seats and I was surprised and very happy that Kakashi sat down next to me. We all laughed at ate as they told me funny things about their past missions. When we were finished, Kakashi reluctantly paid. Naruto had made him pay for his multiple bowls of ramen. We thanked him and Naruto left, eager to get some sleep. Sakura and I turned around to leave as well.
"Hey…Sakura. Mind if I borrow ___ for a bit? The Hokage wants to see her."
"Sure. Just don't get her back too late!" She said teasingly with a smirk.
Kakashi and I walked in silence on our way to see the Hokage. My mind was racing with things that I wanted to say to Kakashi. But the words would always get caught in my throat each time I tried. 'Why do I get so nervous around him?'
~Time lapse~
The Hokage wasn't quite what I expected. She was pretty intimidating, I'm glad that I didn't accidently offend her. She asked me questions like me name, age, and if I remembered anything. I answered as cheerfully as I could. I didn't want to sound like I was falling asleep, which I was. I said that my name was ___, I was 22, and that I only remembered what happened after I had left my village and was heading towards Konoha. It was strange; I could remember things about myself and what I had learned. Like my name, age, foods I liked and disliked, how to cook, and how to fight. But when it came to things that happened to me and how I learned those things, I had no clue.
"I want to show you something." said Kakashi, pulling me back to reality.
"Huh? Oh, yeah right, of course. What is it?"
He just smiled and grabbed my hand, making my heart beat fast. He led me to the top of Hokage Rock, holding my hand the whole time. We sat down and I took a moment to take the view in.
"Wow. This is incredible." From here I could see the whole village, the meadow off to the side, the forest, and best of all the stars.
~~~Kakashi's POV~~~

I didn't think it was possible, but she looked even more beautiful here. We laid side by side, her eyes wide as she pointed out different constellations. After awhile we didn't talk, just laid there contently in silence. I looked over at her and she was asleep. I brushed back a piece of her hair behind her ear. She was shivering from the cool breeze. I moved her close to me and wrapped my arms around her, laying her head on my chest. She moaned a little as she snuggled into me. Although I didn't want to, I knew that I should be getting her to Sakura's house. I pulled down my mask and kissed her on her forehead. I got up as smoothly as possible; I didn't want to wake her. Once I got to Sakura's she helped me put her into bed. She teased me about ___ and I liking each other as I walk out. I got home and laid in my bed. 'She really does make me happy.' I thought, falling asleep with a smile on my face.
