Hermes smiled to himself as he looked over to Angnath before speaking.
"Well it's a pleasure to have you here Young Lord Angnath." Hermes bowed slightly to the Dragon before continuing with with his speech.
"Anyway as I was saying I have been placed in charge over the bets over the competition, so if you do wish to make any bets in the first round please come and see me at anytime before the books close."
All of a sudden a tall grey skinned man stood up, 12 foot high, he had 4 long black horns on his head and four black folded feathered wings on his back.
Just like all of the Divines in the room he exuded a Divine aura however his was dark and menacing, full of evil and negative emotions.
Dalroth a god of jealousy, corruption and envy. There are of course Divines like him but there are not many who go above and beyond into their Divinities after all there is a very fine line between a Divine being and becoming a Fallen.
His teeth sharp and pointy like a sharks, eyes blood-red full of ire and greed were staring straight at Angnath.
As he approached everyone noticed and looked over with different emotions in their eyes thinking and guessing about what was to unfold.
Hermes smile froze as he could just smell the trouble Dalroth could bring. Not many in the Divine realms knew but because Hermes is part of the Greek pantheon and being the child of Zeus.
Hermes has access to quite a bit of knowledge that is only available to Divines of a high strength and status.
Not many in the Divine realms knew who Angnath truly was or his background but Hermes had some information about the dragon and well if even that small amount is true then...
Then let's just say his mother isn't someone even peak Divines mess with...
However unluckily for Hermes he didn't have any information about who Angnath's mother is otherwise he would have ran over to Dalroth and struck him down with all his strength just to create a good impression on the Young Dragon...
The Young Dragon in question and the focus of everyone didn't even notice but not out of arrogance but ability and confidence.
Divine fruit, one after another floated over to the large mouth of the dragon before being devoured in a single bite.
The Old Man on the other hand was enjoying a nice Divine fruit smoothie. The others in the room couldn't help their faces twitch at the way those rare and highly expensive Divine fruits were being eaten like common snacks.
Dalroth came to a stop in front of the long Dragon with a Greedy smile on his face as he looked at Angnath like a heavenly Divine beauty ready for the taking.
"Little Lizard.." Angnath stopped and looked at Dalroth for a second before looking over at Old Man with a questioning gaze.
Dalroth smile faltered for a second before he continued with more confidence.
"I would like to have... well a FRIENDLY bet with you little Lizard.." Dalroth's smile grew more and more, making it completely impossible for anyone to think he was nothing but trouble.
Angnath gave him a look over before asking in return.
"Oh and what bet is it you want to make?" Angnath lazily asked.
"We'll bet on who will get the best score out of all the human contestants.." There was a glow in Dalroth's evil eyes that grew as he spoke.
"What what is it you want to wager?hmm?" Angnath's eyes glowed with intelligence and opportunity almost like a large juicy steak was presented in front of him but only the Old Man noticed it.
"Well I bet the mortal Michael Lewis will get the highest score... and I will get..." Dalroth's eyes were filled with greed almost everyone could feel it.
"... I want your blood essence.." As soon as Dalroth said Blood essence the Old Man's eyes slightly opened as he stared at Dalroth but unlike him everyone else in the room was confused as to why Dalroth would want that.
Angnath smiled before laughing causing the space to twist and shake as though it was laughing alone with him.
However Angnath abruptly stopped and looked at Dalroth in the eyes, the air began to vibrate and a massive pressure to bar down on the room as he spoke with a voice with out emotion.
"Dalroth the Envy? And what is it you can bet that is worth as much as my blood essence? huh? because if you don't than give me a reason right now to not rip your Divine spark and your Divinity from your old dead corpse, just give me a reason.."
Everyone could tell he was serious and why wouldn't Angnath be, even if they didn't know what use his Blood essence has but they knew that to most Divines with bloodlines or certain races like Divine Dragons their Blood essence isn't something you can just get...
And now Dalroth wants it, so everyone could understand why Angnath was mad but this pressure made it hard for them breathe. How could Angnath, who was younger then them grow so strong so quick.
Dalroth struggled a little before regaining him self because his greed took over all rational thought he previously had.
"I know of what you want Lizard and I have it... the it the a piece of the cauldron of origin.. so do you accept my bet Little Lizard?"
Angnath stared at Dalroth for a few seconds before replying.
"Very well I accept, and I'll bet the Richard Darius Drache will take first place.."
"Then I'll like to place a bet as well, if it's ok with you both." A beautiful woman walked over with a smile and a glass of wine, she was Aphrodite the Greek goddess of love and beauty.
With light brown blonde hair and gray blue eyes she looked gorgeous but never let her apprentice fool you, as she is quite well known for her.. well let's say there isn't much good about her.
Dalroth didn't look happy at her interruption but still smiled when he saw her beauty.
"Yes I don't see any reason why not." His face full of lust, Dalroth answered.
"Good then I would like to bet on the mortal Johnny blackwood and I'll wager hmm, ah I know 50 golden apples." She smiled sweetly however underneath her smile was a evil smirk hidden away.
