174 Adventure-ish

Shion was playing with Okayu while Kuro were checking his equipment under Ayame's looks. As for Oujian... he was still sleeping.

In front of Kuro were bunches of tools. Interested by the gadget laid on the floor, Ayame pointed one of the gadget as she asked him.

"What is this?" She pointed on the circular object. It looked like grenade in Earth.

"Hm? This?" Kuro picked up the circular object before Ayame nodded in curious.

"This is called Light Shower. Basically, it can radiates strong light in one-direction while continuously causing extremely loud noise. After throwing it to your enemies' face, this will change shapes, and will cling into enemies."

"Meanwhile, the volume of noise and the intensity of lights will continue changing, to prevent the enemy from getting used to it."

"Cool!!" In front of Kuro's future-like gadget, Ayame were like a children looking at new toys.

"Then, then, what is this?" This time, Ayame pointed to disco.

Keeping the same circular-shape, the disco Ayame pointed had completely different appearances with Light Shower.

Instead of a gadget used in battlefield, the disco looked like more a gadget used for partying.

"This one is called Light Eater. Similar to spatial-energy blocking array, this one blocks the light from entering the placed area by placing my darkness around like a wall."

"Look," Ayame went closer to Kuro as she looked at the disco.

"By scrolling this, I can increase the size of dark-dome but the darkness usage will also increase. Of course, as long as it don't get broken, as long as I insert my darkness, I can charge this up. I made this with Khan."

"I wanted to make this because either my physical stamina and mana usage is too much." Kuro wasn't joking.

Kuro had three batteries inside his body: Physical Stamina, Mana Capacity and Mental Stamina.

With Physical Stamina being the most less, Kuro had Mental Stamina the most.

Water takes stamina. Teleportation takes less stamina. Darkness takes the least stamina.

Numbering their cost: Water cost 10, Teleport cost 3, Darkness cost 2.

He had to move his body while fighting enemies which already cost bountiful of stamina but he even have to use his magic just in case his physical attack is not effective.

It isn't strange for Kuro to create something that didn't cost stamina to use.

"Hmm..." Ayame nodded, agreeing with Kuro. She also thoughts the same; although Kuro never showed a sign of exhaustion during the battle,

but that is because he always finished the battle quickly, and he have never met with someone who specialize in enduring attacks and stamina.

"There's one hidden mechanic in Light Eater." Kuro let out his tongue teasingly.

"What is it~ tell me, tell me~!" It incurred Ayame's curiosity.

Kuro told Ayame what was 'that' hidden mechanic is, as she pointed onto the next tools. This time, it was much more smaller in size, it continued to emit a bright light.

However, before Kuro could explain, they were interrupted by Oujian suddenly opening the door to deck.

"Be prepared." Oujian only said two words as he bought his [Slayer] in front of him.

'Triple-barreled pistol?' Kuro were interested at the weapon Oujian bought. It's his new hobby developed from being a blacksmith and Khan's friends.

"Why? Aren't harpies a friendly-creatures?" At the same time, Kuro said dumbfoundedly as Oujian suddenly took his weapons out.

Kuro knew that there were harpies flying around through his Ki Sense however,

as a creatures that isn't classified as Neutral, harpy carries the intelligences and 'normally', won't attack humans bypassing without a reason.

*Bang*

"Creatures except humans will automatically attack me!" Oujian pulled the triggers as it successfully blocked off the feathers projectiles flying toward the ships.

*Kinnn*

Metallic sounds echoed as the bullet made contact with the feathers.

"What did you do to the world for the creatures to hates you this much." Kuro felt ridiculed but he readied himself up.

"Kuro..." Ayame called him up.

"Hm?... Yes. Let's fight them. But just knock them down." Understanding her thoughts through her gaze, Kuro said to Ayame.

Kuro tidied up his equipment into his bracelets while the two which was playing around, has already taken a combat stances.

Although these two was playing around, their focus never left Kuro after all. If an mishap occurs on him, beside Ayame, these two will be the quickest to react, whatever they were doing.

"Knocking harpies out without killing them is easy thing for this Shion-sama to do!" While saying so, she wrote off magic circle in an instant.

"Shion, amazing~"

"Okayu-chan, don't just stand there and help me!"

-----

Figuring out these two are fine with themselves, Kuro brought his focus back as he communicated with Ayame.

[Don't take off your disguises yet. I don't know what would happen if Oujian finds out that you're an Oni.]

[Okay. Shouldn't I take my Asura & Rasetsu, too?]

[It should be fine but be careful.]

[Un]

Ayame nodded. By then, did Kuro and Ayame's telepathic-like communication which occurs by looking at each others' eyes ended.

*Swish*

The upcoming feathers directed to Ayame were engulfed by the just-formed portal as it appeared once again on the harpies' back.

Meanwhile, Ayame looked at Kuro's face as she nodded—before jumping backward, entering into portal without looking at it.

Under her disguise, she could only use 0~60% of her strength but it was enough to fight against harpy on par.

Kuro took out the gun from his bracelets as he began firing from above the deck. At his current strength, he wasn't willing to fight against harpy in aerial-combat like Ayame's.

He don't have double-jump after all.

*Bang!* *Bang*

Two gunshots overlapped with each other, as it released a larger sound than Oujian's.

One bullet which is accurately aimed at the harpy's eyes were dodged by the harpy due to her speed while the second bullet were attracted to harpy's body like a magnet.

*Kiiiiii!* Due to it hitting on the harpy's shoulder it destroyed a sense of balance in that harpy as it slowly descended toward the ground.

Groups of harpies began turning their eyes toward Kuro as he was the weakest yet the most troublesome to deal with in the group.

"Ah... I forgot they had intelligences." as harpy were sensitive to the movement of wind, they were also sensitive to the sound and Kuro's sentences apparently... triggered them.

They ignored the annoying person in front of them as they moved toward the most annoying person simultaneously.

"Hey, you have a talent as Oracle. Wanna join my crew?" Because the harpy left him off, Oujian were now free as he laughed at Kuro.

"Mind a help?" Kuro were asking for his help but before that, he already took an action that forcefully teleported Oujian by his side.

Ayame were proceeding to his side by continuously using the harpies' body as a stepping tool while slashing their shoulder with the crimson-sword she made.

Okayu and Shion which were on the opposite side of ship came toward Kuro, Whilst Okayu moved to Kuro's shadow through the shadow realm, Shion teleported next to him.

Sensing the two peoples that popped out in Kuro's sides, Ayame felt that she lost in competition as she jumped from the harpies back almighty.

Despite the awkward balances, she was able to push out her strength and rapidly approaches to Kuro. Along with the burst of wind, Ayame's white hair fluttered in the air as she turned back to face the harpy.

'Ha...haha... am I calamity magnet?' Kuro nervously laughed off because of the persons that keep coming to him from next to next.

*KHAAAANG*

Thunder flew down toward the ship, damaging it badly.

'Crap! I am a calamity magnet! Wait a minute, isn't this Oujian's fault?'
