29 Chapter-29 : Busy Year

The Success of the first movie by <FPV>, Ric decided to produce his own movie through Feather studio like Amblin Entertainment does.

So, according to plan, he hired a person who will make the necessary preparation for film production.

With the help of Ari, Ric hired Jack Samuel. After hiring him, his first task was to arrange all the necessary things required to produce film including a permanent film crew team.

As the time to finish all this will take until the end of the year, Ric decided which film he will write for 1987, as <Home Alone 2> will be released at that time. So, he will adapt a film form his one of the book <Spy kids> and <Casper> as Drew's next film in order to stabilize her success in <Matilda> which will be produced by him.

Ric finishing his schedule out for 1987. Only to find out that it will be a busy year. {A/N: roll credits!!!}.

<Casper> was scheduled with the target to release in February -March while <Spy kids> is scheduled to be released in June-July and Warner Bros, fixed the time for <Home Alone2> to be released a week before Christmas.

Both <Casper> and <Spy kids> have special effects which makes the time for the film creation process to be longer, specially the first one as it is timed to be released earlier than the latter.

So, Jack's priority to gather crew and film equipment and the necessary cast for first film is higher.

The film <Casper>, Ric kept mostly original only changed some minor details and ascetics to 80s mainstream and made it more humorous and organized unlike the previous one. The role of Casper is surprisingly be dubbed by him and the female lead role be given to Drew. Even he will make a cameo appearance when Casper turns human.

The film will be directed by Robert Zemeckis and the film's distributor will be Disney.

Lucky for Jack, with the lead roles, director as well as the disturber being selected, his work became easy, the crew was gathered and Cast member was selected with the help of Robert and Disney while he arranged for Film's equipment's and props were arranged by <FPV>.

Among the cast member the role of lead-female's father will be played by original actor Bill Pullman who only just debuted in 1986. Other than that the original song composer of <Casper> James Horner also been taken.

The Budget of the film was determined to be 25 million half that of his counterpart. Finishing all the preparation the film went to Shooting by early October.

Meanwhile the film <Spy-kids> didn't change much adapting from the book which he created from the original movie. But he restructured the story in the book while keeping the main theme.

So, the film is completely different then the original one.

The budget of this film was 30 million making it the first big budget film that Ric will work. The film will be directed by George Lucas as he showed interest in it after Ric told him about the story.

The film big budget was for special effects and film props as both <Industry light & magic> and <FPV> will work together in this film. This will help <FPV> develop by leaps and bounds.

For the lead role which obviously the kids, Ric will play the male lead and female lead will be played by Winona.

An interesting fact is that Ari is also the agent of Winona. With Ric's successes each year, Ari position in CAA kept increasing also increased the P.R team making the chance of having more artist under his belt but he surprisingly didn't take any.

Also as Ric didn't need few of the important jobs of an agent, beside he was more of a manager and nanny which made him relativity free. so, when Ric recommenced Winona, he became her agent.

Other than that, the role for kids parents were given to Alec Baldwin and Sharon Stone.

Alec at that time was in Broadway, Ric coincidentally found him there, so he gave him the role. This film will be his break-though film, later in the future he would thank Ric when ever he have chance for this.

On the other hand Sharon was struggling during this time and this movie gave her platform for her future career.

Paramount surprisingly became the distributor of the film even before it went to its preparatory stage when the script was shown with the condition of just being the distributor.

Even being just the distributor both Disney and Paramount took 70% of the film share but didn't give the share of the surrounding incomes.

Gathering all the cast and crew members of the film<Spy-kids>. Its started its shooting at mid January.

On the other hand, <Home Alone 2> will start its shooting by the mid of September 1987. As the other cast member of the previous film didn't left even the director Chris Columbus didn't leave, the shooting preparation was quite fast as Ric finished writing the script two months before the shooting and crew was gathered fast.

This time, the film will be produced and distributed by Warner bros. They determined the budget of the film 25 million as it's a sequel movie so, the remuneration price of the cast member will be increased.

That being said, Ric took 8 million and 10% share of the profit as the screen writer and furthermore sold all the copyrights of the film for 5 million and 2% box office share in future squeal films. Also Drew's remuneration increased to 2 million from her 200,000 letting her enter the million dollar club for the first time. Rest of the crew and cast's remuneration totaled 5 million.

From <Casper> to <Spy-kids> and finally <Home Alone 2>, the schedule of Ric in 1987 is full packed making Ric not only appearing in 3 movies on a same year but also making the busiest year in Ric's film career up until now.

But the most important thing is the year 1987 is the year Ric debuted as an signer and songwriter with two singles "Remember me this way" and "Casper the friendly ghost" for <Casper> by writing the lyrics and singing the song with the help of James Horner who helped in composing it with Ric.
