Few days passed since Al's film premiere at Cannes Film Festivals, the three theatres where his film showed were sighted having a long queue.
The movie reviews from the critics came the next morning with 90% of them were good reviews, although those good reviews also had cursing words for Al because he made this film.
"A unique blend of theology, biological fantasy and mind games, the twist made me made, congratulations Mr. Brandt." Critics from the New York Times.
"Very probably will be one of the best science fiction films of this decade. It really deserves to be seen." Peter Butler from the Los Angeles Times.
"<The Man From Earth> is like I am watching a bunch of elders on nursing home reminiscing at each other about the meaning of life they live. But don't be wrong, it's not boring at all, but endearing, full of philosophy, and wise message. I could say this is one of the best and simplest Sci-fi movies I have ever watch, 4 stars 2 thumbs up!" Roger Ebert, from Chicago Sun.
The foreign media like La France also didn't absent giving a review, "[Finally American knew how to make a movie, they need to learn from this boy about movie making]" Well, more like they gave sarcasm to American moviemaker.
There were also negative reviews like, "Boring, not worth to watch, and blasphemy. Christians should rally a protest to him, so they won't screen this in America" Kanye from Hollywood Stars.
"If you are heathens, watch this movie! Why are you making this movie Brandt? We see how Hollywood was run by Jews who tried to brainwash good American people, beware America!" Michael from Biblical Records Newspaper.

So after they have read many good movie reviews, Al's film got a spotlight at the Cannes Film Festival and people recommended this film as a must-be-watched film.
Not only the theatre crowded with people who wanted to watch it, but also a crowd of people who protesting his film and demanded the Cannes Film Festival organizer to cancel his film because it brought a bad influence.
They said Al was a Jewish Nazi who wanted to do the holocaust to the good American Christian citizens. They held Al's picture face and drew a Chaplin's mustache on him with David's star armband on his arm then burned the pictures.
Okay, people's delusions were so good these days if it was about religion and faith.
Al read all of the newspapers that mentioned his films. From American media to Foreign ones. Some of the media ridiculed him because being insensitive about religious issues.
But most of them commended him because he made this film at age 14 years 50 weeks, made him the youngest director in the world that officially released a film.
With only this news, he could bring the media and public attention regarding his age. From the interviews held by these newspapers, the American people couldn't wait to see his film released domestically, although he got some resistance and protest from American Church Organizations.
He sighed and put the newspaper beside him and drank his smoothies. He was sunbathing on the poolside with the boys and the film's casts.
"Damn!! Guys, look!!" He heard Anthony's voice, their eyes turned to the location where Anthony's gaze stared into.
Al suddenly fell from the lounger beach chair and widely opened his mouth.
He saw Drew, Laura, Melissa, and Alice wore their one-piece swimsuit approached them. But what made their soul flew from their body was that they saw Sandra, Vivian, Mary, Jodie, Jessica, Ione, and Robin were wearing a super dynamite sexy two-piece bikini with different colors from each other.
Except for Robin, who still wore a white t-shirt but he could see that she wore the bikini underneath it because her t-shirt couldn't hide her peaks.
"Hey boys." Mary greeted them.
"GULP" The sound of every man swallowing their saliva was heard loudly, including Al.
The girls who heard that giggled.
"H-Hey girls... Nice to see you." Max answered stuttered.
"Yeah, how do we look? This is the swimsuit we brought from the store here. They said it's French most trendy styles." Ione said while spinning her beautiful body to show the front and back style of her bikini.
"I-It's good Ione! These swimsuits look good to all of you." Anthony nervously said.
Then their attention turned to Al who still lied on the floor beside the lounger with a stunned expression on his face.
The boys and girls were laughed seeing his expression, while the young women became nervous and started lightly scratch their bodies after they saw Al's passionate gaze on them.
Mary saw her plan counterfeited immediately said, "Al! Hey, how do we look? You can say something."
Al immediately woke up from the trance and said, "All of you look beautiful, those swimsuits matched you all very well." He rubbed the back of his head in nervousness.
It was such a beautiful picture! There was no way he could see such a beautiful view every day.
Suddenly, Robin came to him and stepped on his foot. "Hmph! I thought I judged you better Al, now you were the same as them."
Then she laid back on his lounger and drank his smoothies. Some smoothies were dripped and fell into her white t-shirts. Everybody finally could see what was hiding behind those t-shirts.
Now men nor women couldn't resist the critical strike that Robin gave and almost half of them collapsed from blood loss.
Al was invulnerable when he was facing Robin, just like Drew and Laura, he treated them as his little sisters.
He can never picture them as sexualized objects, for God's sake those Japanese mangas and hentai really poisoned their minds, they are your little sister man! You were supposed to protect them not thought them as their sexual fantasies.
Damn, for whom Al was protesting to, he didn't know. He suddenly just felt wanted to curse and rant it out, out of nowhere.
Robin didn't see any of their reaction and took a newspaper that Al had just read.
She rose her brow and showed it to everyone. "E.D., are you worrying it too much? I have seen you read these reviews for these past days." She said.
Everyone piqued interest at it, they knew Al has been in anxiety lately. It has lasted for a few days and they were also started to worry about him.
"Of course I'm worried! The last time was just a short film, if I screw that up it's okay, it's just a short film. Bit this is different, this is my first movie and I don't want to screw up. This film would determine how everyone sees me as a director!"
"E.D. do you remember when the first time I was editing your movie? You said before that it was my first time, it's okay if I'm screwing up. It only motivated you to try harder."
Al was suddenly tongue-tied that his words were used against him, by Robin of all people. He realized his blunder and started to smile at her.
"You... you are right Robbie, thanks."
"No prob, E.D., don't let your nickname made you acted like that too." She smiled evilly, she was the one who gave Al that nickname, so this time she would be responsible for her actions.
Al smiled, suddenly he approached her and carried her in princess-carry.
"ED, ED, No don't!! I swore you will live in pain as I will curse yo.. kyaaaaa!!" Al threw her to the pool.
"Dude! Did Robin heard Robin screamed like that!" Anthony said and everyone nod in their blush.
"Okay guys, grab the girls! Cuz it's time to second round of this party!"

20th May 1985,
Today, after almost 2 weeks of the Cannes Film Festival held, they finally announce the winner of each category.
In these 2 weeks, Al's film got the most controversies from all of it. Even beat the most underdog in these festivals and become a dark horse in terms of most-watched film.
The 3 theatres turned into seven, they were even forced to take down some of the non-participant films. The theatres were still on a full house until the fifth day, the rest of that, it filled with at least 40 to 50% of seats.
That was why the best way to promote movies was by doing some good publicity or controversies. Al's film belonged to controversial publicity, it contained religious issues, and the Christian media always publish the hate news about him every day.
As long as the film's qualities were guaranteed, it was okay making some controversial news like that, that was part of publicity and promotion marketing.
Another example in the future like romance hype on Twilight, overhype news on the death of the actors before the premiere of Dark Knight (Seriously, WB so disrespectful when they promoted that film, watch WW 1984 and JL in pirated version guys), and Mockingjay leaked nudes from the actress.
Because of this, most of the directors who participated in the competition were all pissed at Al.
He, as an outsider just stole one of the battlefields for the film competition between the continent of Asia, Africa, Europe, and Australia.

But now, these foreign directors were smiling because up until now, his film didn't win any of the awards.
Well, he admitted that his film was so simple and didn't contain too much meaning, it was sci-fi by the way. At least they didn't give any awards to those artistic porn films that those European filmmakers made, artistic elements they said.
What he could see from those films was a regular drama film but with a scene of them doing adult things to attract the audience, Al was sure if the audience wanted to see those scene, they could watch films made in San Fernando Valley.
Then suddenly he heard the announcement of the best actor award, "Liam Neeson!"
What!? He knew he wouldn't win any award for this film, but saw Liam Neeson won the best actor award also made him happy. Finally, Liam Neeson could win an important award which he could not win in his previous life, by playing in his film.
"....I thank Mr. Brandt who allowed me to play in his film, and that's why this award is for you Al!" Everyone gave him applause, except those European directors.
He lost the Palme d'Or award, well, he knew that he wouldn't win anyway.
After the Festival was over, He finally booked a ticket to fly to Paris with his family. His friend couldn't come with him, so they went home the day after the award.
Except for Robin who dragged Ione to come with her to Paris. The film crews and casts were also going back. Sandra has to finish her college assignment and the others missed their families.
Vivian decided she would also join Al and his family in Paris, she wanted to spend more time with Alice and run away from her dad.
She is a daddy's girl, which meant that she hated when her dad paid attention to her but also hated when her dad ignored her.

Paris, late-May 1985.
You see, the French at Cannes was a bit arrogant but most of them were nice people, in Paris, they were the same except if you didn't speak French.
Cannes was a tourist destination whose people depend their life on them, so learned foreign languages is a must for them.
In Paris, people held their pride higher. If you spoke to them in English, you would be ignored but if you do it in French, even in broken ones, they would still smile at you and helped with your problems.
That happened with Mary, who was ignorant of these nice French people, lol.
She asked a beautiful lady with English and she ignored her. Mary who prided herself argued with her then they fought until Al came and spoke with her in French, asking forgiveness for his big sister's stupidity.
The lady turned to Mary and said in good English, "You should ashamed of yourself young lady, your little brother would be a good French. You should learn French from your handsome brother. [It was a pleasant talk with you Mr. Brandt]"
"[No, it was my pleasure, Madam.]" Then the lady and Al were greeted with French customs, cheek-kiss or la bise, which meant that people have become familiar with you.
The lady left and Al now looked at Mary smugly. She rolled her eyes and escaped with embarrassment.
Their days in Paris were great, except one day, Laura was almost pickpocketed and fortunately, Al stopped him.
He argued with the pickpocket until he called his 2 friends and the fight happened. The result? Total annihilation!!
Al beat 3 of them alone until their mother didn't recognize them, the police came and detained 4 of them. Why 4? Because Al was charged with a violent act and he was detained in french police stations for a day.
Fortunately, Al was good in French and with arguing with them, so he was released by bail.
They continued their vacation and visited some places like Arc the Triumph, which remind him of Bronarpate and his canon.
Louver Museum, Moulin Rouge, Palace of Versailles, etc., and their last destination was Eiffel Tower at night time.
Too bad that it was forbidden to take a picture of the Eiffel tower at night. Robin tried it but she was detained roughly by the joint effort of Ione, Al, and the girls.
They decided to end their trip and stopped by the café near the Eiffel tower before ended it.
Al sat at a round table with Ione, Robin, Alice, and Vivian.
"Did you go to Paris to search for the inspiration?" Vivian suddenly said.
"Nope, we already planned it when we were landed in Cannes, the girls wanted to see the Eiffel tower, look how happy they are." He said while pointing in their direction.
There he saw Toby, Jon, Laura, Melissa, Annie, and Drew were playing tags with the Eiffel tower as their background.
Vivian smiled, she patted Alice's head who was almost asleep because they spent their days traveling.
"No way you didn't get any inspiration from this romantic city?" Ione said and spread her arms as tried to presented her creations.
"Maybe one involves a French woman and an American man."
"Uh, tell me about it," Vivian said excitedly.
"It's secret, but this involves an unexpected encounter of two strangers and they decided to spend one day together."
"Ugh, same old Al, secrets that and those," Robin said annoyed.
Then they heard the sound of a girl, no, two girls at least age 5 years old crying.
They saw 2 girls were crying and speaking in French while one of them was holding a doll. While his group couldn't understand French, they knew these girls lost their parents.
Al could speak with them, but he afraid these two girls would be scared if they were approached by strangers so everyone including the kids who were playing before also came to approach them.
Turned out they were right, they lost their parents. So they decided to search for them or finding any adults who looked like they were lost their kids.
Al who could speak French was accompanying them while the others made a search group to find their parents, these two girls gave them the description of their parents and they start to search for them.
While walking, Al tried to have small talk with them, "[Are both of you twins?]"
"[Yes Mr, we are, how do you know? Mommy said we are fr-frati-fraternal twins! We don't look alike but only mommy and daddy said we are look alike!"] Said the one who Al guessed was the older ones.
Both of them had dirty blonde hair, the older ones had brighter shade while the little ones had was darker.
He saw them were still sad and he decided to tell them a story. He saw the elder ones were holding a bunny doll with pants. He got an idea and told them a story about an Easter Bunny named Hop.
They were astonished to hear his story. Sometimes they laughed, sometimes they dejected, and sometimes they were smiling from ear to ear.
Then he heard someone shouted in his direction, he turned around and saw Toby and Laura were accompanied by a middle-aged couple.
The twins screamed and run to this couple.
They have a family hug and thanked them so much for helping them found their daughters.
"[Hey mister, you didn't tell me your name!]" The elder one parted from her parent's hugs and came to Al.
"[My name is Alphonse Brandt brat, call me Al.]" He said.
"[I'm not a brat, I have a name!]" She stepped her foot to the ground in anger.
"[Oh so who is your name then, I thought you will keep it a secret and you won't meet me again.]
"[No! I want to meet you again, let-let's meet again in the future Al. Here for you!]" She handed Al a bunny doll which Al thought was a Moulin Roty doll, a famous doll brand from France.
First, he rejected her gift, but she insisted that she lent this to him, and he will return it to her if they met again.
Everyone gave a glare to Al that indicated him to take the doll, even her parents and twin also did it.
Al sighed and he accepted her gift, then she said something that made the daddy dearest cracked his knuckle,
"[Al, when we met again, let's get married? I love you and this doll will be my dowry!]"
Bang!!
Al's family didn't understand French but from the father's tone and surprised expression from mother and her sister, maybe they got a grasp of it.
'The hell gurl! I know French girls are so passionate about love, but I don't know they begin at this age!!' Thought Al.
Al gave him his explanations and it went well, Al just told them a few stories and the elder daughter just was having puppy love with Al.
"[I'm sorry kid, I got mad, oh I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Walter Green, this is my wife Marlene Green, girls introduce yourself.]"
The younger ones came first, "[Bounjour Al, my name is Joy.]"
The elder ones finally stepped in and said, "[Al, my name is Eva, and I'll be your future wife!]"
Her parents slapped their face again with their hands.
