Meeting Tom Cruise

As the time approached the end of year, the shooting of "Shattered Glass" was completed and the project entered its post-production.

Noah's work was finished and now he can return to Los Angeles, but he asked David to book his return flight for the day after tomorrow. The Christmas is approaching and he wants to buy gifts for his family and friends from here.

He went out of his hotel room and entered the elevator. There was already a person present in it. He didn't pay much attention to it, but suddenly he caught the sight of side face of the person beside him, he was stunned. He couldn't believe what he saw. The person beside him also understood that he was spotted, so he moved his hand for a hand shake and said with a smile.

"Hello, I am Tom Cruise. And it seems that you know."

Noah was lost in thought but then saw the hand of his idol for a handshake, he immediately shaked hands with him and said with a little shock in his voice, "I am Noah Martin. I acted in a movie of your company recently."

"Of course I know you. I just thought you didn't know me."

Noah was stunned hearing this. He was meeting Tom Cruise, his favourite actor, but now he didn't know what to say. There were thousand of words in his mind but nothing came to his tongue.

Tom saw the funny and lost appearance of the boy, and thought that he still had the same innocence as he saw last time, its just that he seems a little weak. He asked the boy:

"The shooting has been completed yesterday. You haven't returned back."

"I just wanted to buy some gifts for my family. So I though maybe I should buy some local specialities."

"Oh that's it, I am also going outside. If you don't have any problem, then maybe I can be your guide here."

Noah was stunned again and thought of the scene of having Tom Cruise as his guide, it was so beautiful. "Of course, you can if you are not busy." there's no way he will reject such a golden offer.

"I am not busy. I also wanted to buy some things." Tom replied with his iconic sunny smile and Noah was flushing red.

On all the way down the elevator, Noah peeked again and again at the person next to him secretly, but his actions were no secret in the eyes of other party. Tom looked at the peeking boy and said, "Is there something you want to say?"

Noah was embarrassed getting caught, but he still persisted and said, "I.. I just want to tell you that I am a big fan of yours. I didn't say it before because I..." seeing that Tom was smiling, he thought maybe Tom thinks he's just trying to please him, he continued, "I am really your fan. I have watched your all movies. I can even tell you the names."

Saying this much, he further wanted to say the names of the movies to prove himself, but Tom started laughing. Tom brushed off his hair and said: "Of course I believe you. After all, how can I not believe my such a cute fan."

Noah got stuck and ears started turning red. He feels like he is sitting on a fire.

Not wanting to tease anymore, Tom asked: "Have you had the lunch?"

"No, I haven't done it yet. I am not hungry."

"Then let's have a lunch first. Then I will personally guide you around."

Noah wanted to refuse but Tom already moved toward the dining area, so he followed him. The manager saw Tom and took them to a private dining area. It was much more lavish than the usual place.

"Order what you would like." Tom handed him a menu and started ordering for himself.

Noah read the menu, and said to the waiter, "Give me a mixed fruit salad and a glass of apple juice." The waiter took the order and went away leaving them in the private cabin.

"Not a usual choice for lunch, but a healthy one." commented Tom.

Noah gave his usual shy smile. Sensing the quietness, Tom asked with his golden smile: "So what movies of mine have you watched."

Noah immediately started speaking the names. He didn't want to be embarrassed again, "Mission Impossible, Jerry Maguire, Top Gun, Days of Thunder, Interview with the vampire, Eyes wide shut..." he was listing all the names when a question interrupted him.

"Where did you watch 'Eyes wide shut'?" the voice was a little serious.

Noah immediately wanted to slap himself. How could he name this movie, It is R-rated.

How will he explain where he watched the movie, but seeing the smiling face opposite which was not smiling anymore, he still said: "In LA, My friend helped my get the ticket." he continued to further explain, "I swear I don't watch adult movies, I only watched it because it was your movie."

Tom didn't know whether to praise Noah as a fan or reprimand him. "But don't watch again in the future before you are of age."

Noah nodded, clearly expressing his answer. Tom asked again: "By the way, how old are you?"

"I will be sixteen on 13 febuary."

"Oh.. Its sixteen." Tom murmured in his mouth.

"Why do you ask?"

Tom came out of his thought and replied, "Its nothing. I am surprised by your talent now. I watched your performance yesterday during post-production. I have to say I am impressed."

"Really." Noah asked with a little worry. He really gave his all to the movie. Hearing the praise from his idol means a lot to him."

"Yes really." Tom replied, "I believe that after the release, you will hear this from everyone."

After that, the lunch was served. It was the best time Noah had since he came to the set of "Shattered Glass". They talked about many different things.
