The speed of his progress wasn't fast at all. It took him a Year to reach a mere 50,000+ Spirit Power. Even if the Hollows are quite helpful, they aren't abundant in the living realm. Iazkari has yet to achieve the ability to pierce through the fabric of space and rip open a portal to the home of Hollows even though it is the most common ability of all Hollows. And even if he succeeds in reaching the home of Hollows, the dangers within that area are just beyond normal.

It was definitely not an easy task. His new Quest, which he gained recently, had slowly caused him to regain the stress he never thought he ever had as a Hollow.

Among the rewards however, were 10 Draws, and the passive skill [Master Spearman], which were his main targets. The [Eye of Truth] is indeed powerful, and it would be overly useful for Iazkari if he has it. But for now, he gets the feel that those 2 are his most needed.

Although currently as a Hollow, the [Master Spearman] passive has little use.

[If the Host wishes to gain more Spirit Power and finish the first given Quest, I recommend unleashing your Spiritual Pressure.]

"I know its use, but it would attract Akira Ryuki… I'd rather avoid him for the meantime."

A sudden pull then causes Iazkari to stop. The pull was from his instinct as a Hollow, a pull that tends to lead to a Soul or Hollow with a powerful Spiritual Pressure. He decided to rush towards the location of the Spiritual Pressure and was then met with a small group of seemingly exhausted Soul Reapers who are protecting a pale haired little girl and are surrounded by Hollows.

"Oh… How unfortunate. None of them seems to even have anyone strong in their numbers… They're exhausted… How weak."

Iazkari stepped out of his hiding place which attracted the attention of the Hollows, allowing the Soul Reapers to rest… For now.

The Hollows let out roars before rushing towards Iazkari.

"Nearly 30 Hollows and 7 Soul Reapers… Quite the loot."

The first Hollow rushed at Iazkari, only to be dodged and have its neck ripped off by Iazkari's bite. Iazkari ate the remains of the Hollow's body and faced the rest of the Hollows.

"Not enough… I need more."

Not wasting a single second, Iazkari charges towards the other Hollows. The remaining Hollows did the same and charged at the pitch black Hollow. Many Hollows were met with his blades, some were met with his [Spirit Blade], the rest were met with his jaws.

The Soul Reapers could only look in horror, witnessing a single Hollow devour and kill what they could not in a mere few minutes. Eventually, once the Hollows died off, the Hollow began to devour their bodies. The Soul Reapers knew that they needed to run and protect the little girl.

Once the Hollow finished its feast, it gazed at the Soul Reapers. Iazkari is quite the curious fellow, even as a Hollow. He slowly approached the group, placing fear into their thoughts. He stopped the moment he reached a few meters near the group.

"S-stay away!"

One of the Soul Reapers said before preparing an attack.

"H-hado 31: Shakkaho!"

He blasted a ball of fire towards Iazkari, who only swatted it like it was some sort of fly. The attack was weak, hesitation and fear had affected its overall power.

"... Weak."

His deep voice further sharpened their senses that screamed at them to run away. However, one Soul Reaper decided to be a hero, jumped and swung his Katana at Iazkari. Iazkari dodged, although still gaining a slight wound on his shoulder.

"Run everyone! I'll deal with this Hollow… Protect the Young Mistress!"

The Soul Reapers nodded and grabbed the little girl before dashing away. The Soul Reaper and the Iazkari faced each other. One was filled with fear, yet faced Iazkari with such bravery. The other was filled with boredom and hate, but still didn't bother to chase the others.

"You… What is your name… Soul Reaper?"

Iazkari asks the Soul Reaper. His enormous figure only brings fear to the Soul Reaper, but he still told him his name otherwise.

"Sh-Shuri Takuya…"

In front of such power, the Soul Reaper, now known as Shuri, could only tremble in fear. Her body at first only moved on instinct to protect the Young Mistress and allow her allies to run away.

"... Tsk."

Iazkari could only scoff and look away, confusing the Soul Reaper.

"Selflessness… Such a bore. Go back to your… Allies or something. Although your supposed 'Young Mistress' did intrigue me… Right now I have nothing to do. Don't risk your lives over some foolish image. If you wish to protect her, then live. The concept of protection would mean nothing if the one who protects dies."

Those were Iazkari's words before leaving the Soul Reaper, who could only fall on her knees due to the menacing aura of the Hollow. A few minutes went by, and she began running to her allies.

A mere few minutes passed and she arrived at her destination, her allies looked at her with joy and relief.

"Shuri! Your alive!"

"D-did you kill that Hollow?"

"I wouldn't be surprised though, she is the former Lieutenant of Squad 11 before that black haired kid got the position."

Many of her allies began praising her, but she felt conflicted. Before she could speak however, a little girl's voice spoke first.

"... You couldn't kill it, right? It only spared you."

Her allies praises were halted as they looked at the girl. Eventually, they looked back at Shuri for confirmation.

"... Yes… It spared me… It's… Quite odd."

Indeed, it is quite odd. No Hollow had ever spared their prey. Once they spot their prey, they will never stop until they die or devour them.

"... It doesn't matter anymore… At least you're alive."

The little girl said with a smile. Shuri could only smile back at the little girl before bowing to her.

"... Thank you, kind Hollow."

The Young Mistress thanks Iazkari in her mind.

Iazkari looked at his stats and observed each skill.

"... [Enhanced Defense] and [Iron Body] are powerful when paired up. Together, it can increase my defense by 70%... But it wouldn't be enough. Reaching 100 on Constitution should be enough to endure 1 or 2 hits from Ryuki, but that would still take long. Reaching 100 on Strength would be amazing since his Constitution isn't even at 100, so I should only need 4-5 hits to kill him… But his speed and intelligence are the problem. [Eye of Truth] paired with his ridiculous 500 Intelligence can allow him to see the future up to 5 seconds. Each 100 Intelligence allows the user of the skill to see a single second into the future. This isn't really much like foresight, but it's much more reliable in battle. His speed… I need a way to counter his 250 Dexterity."

His thoughts ramble on how to defeat Akira Ryuki, but it seems that the System is more than welcoming enough to help him.

He began to move, after all, wasting anymore time would cause his death. 9 Years is left, and his growth is far from reaching the Old Ryuki. He has to achieve power greater than the Ryuki family could ever achieve… Else, he might end up the same way as he did before.

Iazkari began walking around the forest he was in, searching for souls who are unlucky enough to meet their demise. But his steps had come to a halt. A group of 5 Soul Reapers appeared out of nowhere and launched a volley of attacks.

"Hado 33: Sokatsui!"

From their hands, a burst of lightning is shot towards Iazkari. Iazkari only squinted his eyes at the attack and imbued his bladed arms with his [Spirit Blade] skill.

His blades began emitting an aura of black and white mixed together. He swung his bladed at the Soul Reaper's attack, completely dissipating it and avoiding damage.

This action surprised some of the Soul Reapers, but the rest rushed at Iazkari. Two of the Soul Reapers from behind did a stance with their katanas while Iazkari would be busy with the group who are attacking him.

"Display, Sapoals!"

"See the light, Sadnai!"

The first Soul Reaper had his Katana turn to a longsword with a unique handle pattern, and that's pretty much it. The second one had his Katana turn to a whip… Nothing else.

"What the hell?"

His thoughts were disturbed by other Soul Reapers who are relentlessly attacking Iazkari with their Katanas and Hado moves.

Iazkari had long been annoyed of these Soul Reapers, so he decided to use the very skill he had yet to use.

[Activating Skill [Reiatsu Burst]]

A sudden burst of Spiritual Pressure from Iazkari pushed the Soul Reapers away. Some of them suffered damage from obstacles that they hit when they got blown away, others were knocked out in an instant.

"... This Hollow is very… Special."

"It's the same Hollow that hides its Reiatsu, of course it would be special."

The 2 Soul Reapers had a quick chat before looking at Iazkari who remained idle.

"System, what are the Katanas these Soul Reapers are holding called?"

[The Katanas are known as Zanpakutō]

[The Zanpakutō are weapons used by the Soul Reapers to fight against their enemies]

[Those 2 Soul Reapers that have different shaped Zanpakutō because their Zanpakutō is in its released form]

Iazkari swung his glowing blade downward, creating an arc-shaped blast of black and white color. Its speed is immense, much that the Soul Reaper with the longsword had to try and deflect it else both he and his ally would die. Key word: Try.

Once he swung his bladed and made contact with the arc-shaped blast, it exploded. The Soul Reaper with the whip succeeded in dodging the blast, but his ally was not lucky and suffered through great damage… No wait he's dead. The upper body of the Soul Reaper had been disintegrated, leaving some parts of his lower body as remains. The Soul Reaper's Zanpakutō began to disintegrate as it fell, clearly stating that it's wielder is dead.

"W… What the?"

Angered by his friend's death, the Soul Reaper with the whip began to relentlessly attack Iazkari with his whip… Oh wait it extended and MULTIPLIED!?!?

The whip extended and split to multiple whips, each acting on its own and attacking Iazkari on many sides. However, despite such a a relentless attack, this cannot comprehend the power of his defensive ability.

Iazkari's defense spiked up by 50%, causing the whip attacks go from stick slaps down to twig slaps.

Each attack could barely do any damage to Iazkari, so this time, he took it as an opportunity. However, such an opportunity was cut off by the whips suddenly binding him in place.

"Ah… I seem to have underestimated these whips."

Iazkari could only scold himself mentally for his stupidity. He looks at the Soul Reaper and sees that he's preparing an attack. Once his chant was finished, he unleashed the attack that was a dozen times more stronger than the first attack.

"Hado 33: Sokatsui!!!"

A massive burst of lighting erupted from the Soul Reaper's hand and began to approach Iazkari at decent speeds.

"Can I endure?"

[Damage earned will be at medium]

[This attack has exhausted the target]

"Huh… Oh well."

Iazkari was met with the damage predicted by the System, and still survived. The Soul Reaper seemed beyond exhausted as well. His eyes were too tired when he looked at the damaged Iazkari. His thoughts had rambled. How? Just how powerful is this Hollow?

His vision then went black. This group of Soul Reapers, are now dead. Iazkari approached the first 3 dead Soul Reapers and ate them.

He then approached the last 2 Soul Reapers, eating them as well. The amount of Spirit Power gained however, was what one could call delightful.

A man with enormous muscles exclaimed, stopping Iazkari on his tracks. His eyes squinted on the man in front of him, knowing full well who the man is.

"Christopher Ryuki."

Iazkari remained idle and silent, gazing at the one reward in the Quest. 1 Exclusive Draw.

He HAS to get it. What fool would reject such an offer? Ah, right, a non-opportunist.

Iazkari acted as if he never knew the man in front of him and asked his name. Christopher gave a wide over confident smirk and gladly introduced himself to the Hollow.

"I am the strongest of the Ryuki family! My name is Christopher Ryuki! Tremble under my presence you foul beas-"

Before he could react properly, Iazkari launched an attack. Unable to avoid the blast, he blocks the attack with both his arms. An explosion occured, but he was only fazed. He looked at the Hollow in front of him and smirked.

'That was just half the strength of [Spirit Blade]... He certainly is strong, but he isn't any stronger than Akira nor anyone else within the Ryuki family.'

Christopher laughed mockingly towards Iazkari and pointed his index finger towards him.

"Was that your strongest attack? How weak!"

'You've got to be kidding me!!! I nearly thought that I would have died there!!!'

Christopher Ryuki is a coward and a weakling, but he drove himself to ignore all the pain and only let out lies that is far from what he truly feels. Overconfidence is not what he has. He only has fear.

"Now, face my strength!"

With Iazkari's superior speed and intelligence, Christopher moved like an old man. He sighed in his thoughts and decided that ending the battle early would be better.

Iazkari's blades began glowing white on one side, while the other oozed out a dark aura. He then began relentlessly slashing air, blasting Spirit Blades one after another.

There was no way to dodge, so Christopher attempted to block the projectiles. One would think, why doesn't he use his Modified Reflex? Did you check his intelligence Stat? It's 1, but it isn't even equivalent to the average human braincells. This man's braincell is only 1.

A whole minute had passed and the volley of attacks finally ended.

To defeat Akira Ryuki, he must have speed, power, and defense. And one way to achieve that is by becoming an Adjuchas.
