He raised his chin, clearly proud of his Slytherin principles.

During this time, Malfoy had avoided talking to Darren face to face. Not because he was timid, but he felt ashamed.

Watching Darren endure the Drill Heart Curse reminded him of the first lesson his father taught him, casting the same spell on a house-elf.

Malfoy thought he had forgotten about it, but witnessing Darren's resilience brought back those memories. He even imagined more gruesome scenarios from that childhood experience.

This stark contrast made him question why Harry Potter didn't defend his brother like Darren did.

Feeling a newfound admiration for Harry, Malfoy decided to tease Darren less.

While he didn't particularly like Darren, he acknowledged that Darren was a member of Slytherin. Only Slytherin could bully their own. Considering this, he grinned with a sense of pride.

But Darren wasn't going to let the moment slide. Unhappily, he remarked, "I go out with my brother to do the right thing, not to act pitiful. And by the way, you can't beat me!!"
