never enough with nate

LOREN POV

It was night time when I returned to my room. Non was massaging vitskit leg as he complained.

Someone gripped my neck from the back, "your finally back",dibengi said.

"Yes, as you see".

He walked around me, "you missed the tour because of your prince, how will you know the places in the palace?".

I exhaled and laid on my bed with my leg crossed, "prince nate showed me around".

He sat on my bed and furrowed his eyebrows, "you forgot to say it".

I thought about what I forgot to say, "what do you mean?".

He stared at me, "that he's not your prince, he is just prince nate".

I placed my hand on my forehead, "oh, I forgot, he's not my prince, he's prince nate".

He just stared at me blankly.

I dragged him by his hand to lie with me.

I looked up with one of my hand behind my head and my one of my leg up in a triangular form and the other laid on the bed, "nate showed me around, it was really fun and when we were done, we went to the palace ornamental garden and sat under an oak tree.

it was old but beautiful, we wanted to continue but time waits for no man, and after that we went to his palace and I ate there".

I smiled," though he wears a mask, being with him was enough, I want to see him everyday, but I don't think it will be enough.

I looked at vitskit, "you're right, his hands are really soft and smooth,when we were in his palace, I couldn't stop holding his hands".

Dibengi was silent but then he spoke, "you said so many words, it looks like you're really happy about meeting you're friend",he said flatly.

"Of course",I said sharply with excitement.

Days and months passed, the golden horse and red golden warriors trained together, both boys and girls, every day, four hours everyday starting in the morning.

I and nate met in the palace ornamental garden under the oak tree everyday. I still practice my swordplay every night.

Although I and nate saw each other everyday, it was never enough. Every month, we were given a free week, we all didn't have it at the same week.

I saw one of our seniors, Morris, he said after the official inner duel within the palace, some will move to the camp which is near the palace while some will remain in the palace.

I met my parents and my siblings.

My sister,kalista,she really has an attitude but she's an artist.My brother who I've never seen before,vitsk who seemed quiet,maybe it's because it was our first meeting.

i visited them with my friends,non,vitskit and dibengi.

Six months have passed,the official inner duel was coming up,after that we will be fully red eagle warriors,even though one will fail or pass.I feel so excited.And my salary will increase to twenty pieces of silver.

A week before the official inner duel,on a cool evening,I was in prince nate's residence. I sat on his bed while he laid on my lap as i held one of his hands as we talked.

He sat up with a blindfold and sat next to me.

"You want to see my face right?",he asked.

"Yes".

"You can't see it but I'll allow you to feel it, I'll remove my mask and I'll blindfold you, do you agree, loren? ".

" Sure"

NATE POV

This past months with loren was the most happiest days I've had in this palace. When I see him my heart beats crazily, I understood is not a feeling between friends, but how can I say it, how can I tell him?

Would he still want to meet me everyday, if I tell him, I've fallen for him. It is something that should be unspoken, I know, but it's not something I can let go off.

I want to sa the three words to loren, I love you, but will he feel the same way? Or will he be disgusted of a love between the same sex.

Worries filled my heart, I also worry of my life. Six months have passed, I haven't gotten the sign of the last stage, will I really make it this year, is my fate really going to change?.

I blindfolded loren , removed my mask slowly and lifted his hand to my face.

His hands on my face,felt warm to my cold skin,I closed my eyes as he touched my cheeks,I relaxed my face in his hands,he traced to my forehead,tracing his fingers to my eyes,then the bridge of my nose,then to my lips.

He used his finger to rub my lips softly and gently,I looked at him as I wanted him to kiss me.

He placed one of his hand on the back of my head and brought my head closer,with his other finger still on my lips.

I panicked,My heart began to beat crazily as he leaned to my face.

I flushed,"loren?".

He kept leaning forward.

Is he going to?,does he feel the same?,I swallowed.

I closed my eyes,then I felt a kiss on my forehead.

"I've always wanted to do that",he said softly.

What?is that all?,I cleared my throat,put on my mask and removed his blindfold.

We were silent.

" Are you hungry?",I broke the silence.

He laughed slightly," after thinking of what to say,you found,are you hungry?".

I felt embarrassed.

" Are you angry because I kissed your forehead?",he asked.

" No!",I said sharply.

" You sound different,you sound like you're angry",he said.

I looked at him and he looked worried.

" Am not angry",I reassured him.

" You are".

I sighed,closed his eyes with one of  my hand,removed my mask and kissed his forehead," do you believe me now?",I used my other hand to put on my mask,removed my other hand from his eyes and wore my mask properly.

I looked at him,"so,are you hungry?".

He smirked,"it's becoming dark,am not eating,I need to practice".

"You can practice here",I said sharply.

"It will be late before I could go back".

"Stay with me,you can sleep here",I said without thinking and I looked another way.

"But there's only one bed in your bed chamber,your highness".

I looked at him,"even though you didn't stay overnight,have we not stayed on the same bed before?".

He raised a smile at the corner of his lips,"when we were five,six and seven,but now we're going to sixteen and you're a prince,it is highly inappropriate,your highness".

" Then it's a command",I said bluntly.

He smiled and bowed slightly," I'll heed your command,your highness".

"Very well then,you can practice in the backyard,I know you haven't been there before,there's a flower pond there,you will like it as you swordplay".

" Am grateful your highness,however I hope you'll come to watch me?".

" Of course",I smiled behind my mask," I will be with you in less than an hour".

He left and I went to my chamber where I work,I made my medicine and heated it,when it was the right temperature,I removed it and gave it to ivan to hold it.

I walked to the back yard and sat down on the chair.Ivan dropped the bowl  on the table and stood beside me.

I watched loren swordplay as I drank my medicine.

"He's really good,can I be his opponent?,it will be good for him",ivan said in a low voice and I nodded.

" I'll love to spar with you,loren sorock"ivan unsheathed his sword.

" Please,teach me",loren said.

The clangs of swords were heard,loren is really good,even his stance was fantastic,the sight of seeing loren using the sword was never boring.

They continued to spar but I felt drowsy,it was one of the side effects of the medicine.

Ever since ari's death,I never wanted any personal maid,or any maid to take care of me personally.They can only bring food and change the water for bathing.

I told loren and ivan that I need to take my bath and sleep.

I took my bath and laid down on the bed,all covered.The water was warm but I always felt cold.

LOREN POV

After I felt tired,ivan showed me where I'll take my bath,in prince nate bathhouse. The water was already changed,some herbs were in the water.

After I took my bath,I went to nate bedchamber,he was sleeping soundly.

Can he even breath well with the mask on?.

I stared at him as I remembered when I felt his face when I was blindfolded,can someone really fall in love with another, without seeing his face?.
