I can kill Loren but not you
It was night.
It took us a week to get to the palace In the central province.
Loren was in prison.My residence was rebuilt and my belongings that weren't burnt, remained.
I sat down on my bed in my bed chamber as the head of imperial physicians checked my pulse while other imperial physicians stood across my bed.
The head of imperial physician nodded and looked at other physicians.
He looked at me,"Your highness,please remove your clothes,I need to check your body".
"I am fine",I said.
"The king ordered it and I need to give him a report,your highness,please comply",He said and I removed my clothes.
He nodded and looked at other physicians.
"Your highness,I am curious, you were dead,how is it possible that you live?".
"I was at the brink of death,I wasn't dead.And it was the work of an old physician but I never met him",I said as I put on my clothes.
"Then did the general and the princess meet him?",he asked, curiously.
"Yes".

The king sat on his throne in the palace court as the physician came to him.
He kowtowed,"Your majesty,the 7th prince is fine and it's strange.Forgive me for i do not mean that he should die but it's truly strange".
"What makes it strange",the king asked.
"Your majesty,as we all know.The prince took the death pill.And according to my findings,anyone one who takes the death pill cannot survive no matter what except by one pill".
"You speak of elixir,the pill of life,the king asked as he stood up.
"Yes,you majesty".
"Chief of imperial guards!",the king summoned.
He went on one knee,"Your majesty!".
"Release the general and summon him here".
"Yes,you're majesty,he stood up,bowed and walked out off the palace court.

"Loren,are you well?"",a voice said from outside the palace poison cell.
Sitting on the ground,loren raises his head and saw nate.
He stood up and looked at nate who was on the other side,"nate,how are you?",loren asked worriedly.
"Am not fine until you are released from this dreadful place,don't worry you'll be released soon".
Dejected,as loren looked at Nate, Nate.....,forgive me for not giving you the new life I promised.If only I planned earlier.It's all my fault".
A tear rolled down nate's cheek and he tried to holds his tears back,"it's not your fault",tears broke out as he whimpered,"Don't blame yourself".
The imperial guard arrived and glanced at nate,"Your highness,you are not suppose to be here".
"I choose where I want to be",nate said.
"Open it"",the imperial guard ordered the prison guard and he opened loren's prison cell.

IN THE PALACE COURT
Prince nate stood outside the door as he leaned his ear on the door while the chief of imperial guard,chief of imperial physician,some imperial guards and the king and loren were in the court.
Loren kowtowed,"General loren greets his majesty".
"The physician that treated the 7th prince,where is he?",the king asked.
"Your majesty,forgive me for I know not of his whereabouts".
"Have your heard of the pill of life, elixir?".
Loren glanced at him as he remembered when the old physician told him not to tell anyone that the elixir was used on prince nate,"Yes,your majesty".
The king gripped the arm of his throne and stood up.
He walked to loren"Then.Did the physician use it on prince nate?",he crouched as he raised loren's face with his finger to look at him.
"I don't know,your majesty",loren said as chills ran down his spine because if the king's demeanor,but he managed to look calm.
The king stared deep into his soul,"What do you mean by you don't know".
"Nobody knows your majesty",loren said.
The king withdrew his finger and walked back to his throne and sat on it.
"General loren is free from his crimes,he can go home,the king said aloud.
Loren bowed,"Am grateful for your mercy!,long live the king!,loren said aloud.
"You can stand",the king asked.
Loren stood up and walked towards the court door.
"Summon the 7th prince inside,I know he's at the door",the king ordered the chief of imperial guards.

The king and the 7th prince were alone in the palace court.
The king sat on the throne while nate was on his knees,a little far from the throne and they glaredd at each other without saying anything.
The king chuckled for a few seconds and kept a straight face,"I was confirming if you are the 7th prince.Only one person will dare to look at me straight in my eyes".
"I was also confirming you,the king ,If you are still mad.I only heard of how my prince aris,prince timus and prince tasus families were beheaded.But what I didn't hear was that you beheaded them by yourself with you own hands" nate said as he glare at him.
" Aren't you happy that they are dead?,it is what you wished for,after all they mocked you",the king asked.
"Am not you,your majesty.I wished them dead but never wanted to kill them with my own hands".
The king laughed hysterically and seized it," How many of your brothers are alive?,7th prince".
" Two,prince karl and prince jerson".
"So.Why did you remain in the south province after you were well?",the king asked.
"I was recuperating,your majesty".
"For more than a year?"
"Yes,your majesty".
" When you were in the palace,do you know how many reports I was getting about you and general loren sorock?",the king asked as he stood up from his throne and walked to prince nate.Do you know what they told me?".
Nate panicked but remained calm.
" What am I seeing?.Did your eyes change?, are those the eyes of fear?,7th prince?".
" You majesty,loren and i have been friends even before I came here when I was 7.He is my confidant".
The king walked around the palace court," I sit on that throne but my eyes are everywhere in this palace.When I first got a the report,I thought it was something you wanted for that time.
But eventually, more kept coming and I found out you didn't treat him as a thing of pleasure. It was more than that.
Nate froze as he spoke.
The king continued,"I can kill loren but I won't kill you.Don't suspect your protector,ivan.Even when I knew he knew,I didn't kill him,do you know why?. It's because he never reported it,I killed the one's that reported".
He stood in front of prince nate and crouched,"more than 40 are dead because of you".
"I don't understand what you're talking about ,your majesty",nate said as he glared at him.
