Chapter 8: Start of the Assessment

On the following day, Gabriel made his way to school, feeling both excited and nervous about the day ahead. As he arrived, he could see that the 27 people who had successfully awakened were already gathered in the field, along with students from other classes. They were all waiting for their assessment, under the guidance of their teacher, Mr. Hanz. Gabriel could see the anticipation on their faces as they chatted and exchanged nervous glances.

As he approached the group, Gabriel noticed that a striking stage had been set up in front of them. In the centre of the stage stood a podium, which seemed to be the focal point of this morning's event. Gabriel couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as he took in the impressive sight before him.

After a brief moment of calmness, the atmosphere around me became increasingly turbulent as a sudden and forceful gust of wind made its presence felt. The once placid environment transformed into a frenzied state as the winds howled and battered everything in its path, causing objects to sway and rustle.

WHOOOSH!

WHOOOSH!

As the crowd gathered near the campus, they noticed a strange sight in the distance. A mysterious figure, shaped like a human, was slowly floating through the air towards the front stage. The people watched in amazement as the silhouette drew closer and closer, with all eyes fixated on the soaring figure.

As the gust of wind picked up, the figure seemed to glide effortlessly towards the stage, and the onlookers could feel the rush of excitement building within them.

Gradually, the figure became more and more defined, until it was clear that it was a person, walking through the air as if defying gravity itself. The spectators were left in awe, wondering how such a feat could be possible.

As the silhouette made its way towards the stage, a strong gust of wind suddenly disappeared. The audience watched in awe as the figure walked towards the podium. It was none other than the principal of the school, Mr. Dalhmer - a powerful mage class, level 69 peak gold level Orion.

"Ahem..." he cleared his throat, commanding the attention of the audience.

"Good day to you all," he began, his voice booming throughout the auditorium. "Today marks the culmination of your long stay at this academy."

The principal continued his speech, addressing the students and their achievements, reminding them of their potential, and encouraging them to continue their journey towards success. "Today will be your first day to enter the dungeon," he announced, pausing for a moment to let the weight of his words sink in. "All I can say to you is to not let your nerves get the best of you. After all, this is the lowest-level dungeon."

The audience listened intently as the principal went on, sharing his wisdom and experience, and imparting valuable advice to the graduates. "And lastly!" he exclaimed, his voice rising with excitement. "Prove to me and your teachers that you all are worthy of the title, Orion!"

The students stood straighter, their hearts pounding with anticipation. They knew that this was a momentous occasion, a test of their knowledge, skills, and courage. "Let the final assessment begin!" said the headmaster as he uttered the last word in his long speech, signalling the start of the assessment.

As soon as the signal was heard, the principal's voice boomed across the auditorium, calling upon the president of the student council to come up to the stage. As she approached, the audience could see that she had a small, black token clasped tightly in her hand. With a quick, fluid motion, she threw the token onto the ground in front of her, where it landed with a sharp clink.

Suddenly, the air was filled with a thick, swirling smoke, obscuring the entire stage from view. The smoke grew thicker and thicker until it was impossible to see anything through it. Just as suddenly as it had appeared, the smoke began to clear, revealing a strange, otherworldly portal that seemed to shimmer with an eerie, otherworldly light.

The portal was unlike anything anyone in the audience had ever seen before. It was as if a tiny, mystical realm had opened up right there on the stage, beckoning anyone who dared to take a step through it. It was a strange and wondrous sight, one that would be remembered for years to come.

......

During the time of the dungeon invasion, the human world was drastically changed, bringing forth both opportunities and dangers. One of the most significant advantages was the discovery of natural energy in the form of mana. This discovery allowed people to awaken their unique Class and gain access to new abilities. Due to the surplus of mana in the atmosphere, different dimensions merged, and several mystic realms emerged, offering limitless possibilities to the adventurous.

These realms were filled with various creatures, some of which were strong and ferocious, waiting to pounce on any unsuspecting visitor. However, the rewards for braving the dangers were enormous. Some realms granted more experience, while others offered higher fighting skills, divine-level skills, or even reincarnation opportunities.

In other words, the mystic realms were a world of endless possibilities for those who dared to explore them. To enter these realms, one only needed to obtain a crystal from a monster, which could be found in the dungeons scattered throughout the human world.

Within this realm of mystical wonders, there exist several small pockets of mystery that can be unlocked and explored repeatedly. These pockets of mystery are known to contain low-level monsters, which are perfect for newly awakened students to test their skills and abilities. The purpose of these areas is to serve as an assessment ground for students who are just beginning their journey into the realm of mysticism. Although the level of the monsters in these areas is low, there is still a possibility of danger and even death if one is not careful. Therefore, it is essential that students exercise caution and use their skills and knowledge to navigate these areas successfully.

.......

As the time for their class to enter the mysterious realm drew near, everyone was feeling the excitement and anticipation building up inside them. They had all worked hard for years to get to this point, and now it was finally time to put their skills to the test. Mr. Hanz, their instructor, stood before them with a serious expression on his face. He reminded them that although the monsters in the mystic realm were not of the highest level, they still posed a certain degree of danger. He strongly advised them to go in groups and to do their best to emerge unscathed from the realm.

Some of the students were already familiar with the rules and immediately formed a party, while others listened attentively to Mr. Hanz's words. However, before anyone could say anything about forming a party together with Gabriel, they all felt a sudden chill in the air. They turned around and saw Tigram, one of their classmates, standing there with a cold smile on his face. His eyes were fixed on them, and they could tell that he was up to no good.

As his classmates eagerly stepped forward to enter the mystical realm, he followed suit, waiting patiently for his turn. When it was finally his turn, he was handed a standard weapon, which was the norm for mages like him, despite being a healer. After carefully considering his options, he decided to go with the standard weapon that his classmates were also using. With his weapon in hand, he braced himself for whatever challenges lay ahead in the mystical realm.

[Name: Iron Staff]

[Type: Staff]

[Matk: 50 - 85]

[Rarity: Common]

[Desctiption : It is made of the precious minerals. The strong magic adaptability makes its power more stable. It is the mage's best choice.]

Because of this staff, his chances of getting out alive will increase.

......

As the scene changed, Gabriel found himself standing on a large, circular platform. He took a moment to survey his surroundings and noticed that there were many of his classmates present too. The platform seemed to be the only safe place in the mystic realm. It was protected by an array formation which was designed to provide a barrier against any danger that the students might face during their assessment.

The assessment was a test of the students' physical abilities and knowledge. The academy didn't intend to put them in harm's way. Rather, it was meant to assess the results of their years of training and education.

Gabriel looked around and saw that most of his classmates were waiting for their friends to arrive so they could form teams. But Gabriel didn't have any companions, so he decided to leave the platform and head off in a random direction. He knew that he would have to be careful and rely on his own abilities if he wanted to survive this assessment.
