CHAPTER 3: The Unexpected Encounter

The Lycan locked his gaze on me as soon as he noticed our presence; my father and I were still inside the car at the time, but the clear windshield allowed anything inside to be seen.

He spotted me as if I were his prey and I never imagined the guy in my dream could be this charming in real life, which made my heart beat faster because he didn’t take his gaze away from me as if he knew who I was.

That charming 6 feet male wolf must have heard my story from his mother, Luna Mira, the one who caused all the hatred toward the Red-Blood pack in the entire country, the one who blamed her mate’s death on my father, but I can’t lie to myself and say her son isn’t attractive.

He was so tall and nothing compared to my 5.2 feet, his eyes were blue like Luna Mira’s and he had beautiful side features like his mother, now I understand why my father is in love with her, Luna Mira is unique, and her son is identical to her just as my father and I are.

His nose is as sharp as a sword, his brows almost touch each other and he has perfect lips, just like I saw in my dream all this time; those lips would be perfect if they were touching mine.

“Damn, slut!” When my father Alpha Adrian saw Luna Mira and her son, he mumbled and turned off the engine while saying those inappropriate words.

When he pointed his gaze at Luna Mira, resentment was clearly etched in his eyes, the resentment where he had to accept that Luna Mira dumped him and had another man, my father still can’t get over his past life and that caused our family to fall apart.

They hadn’t seen each other in a long time and it worried me that my father might cancel the plan to take me to the training because he saw the presence of Luna Mira and the potential leader of the Night-Blood Pack, her son.

“Dad, aren’t we going to get out of the car and go home?”

I asked, a thousand doubtful looks on my face, fearful that my father would scold me right there and then. My father was still looking out the car window for Luna Mira, who was standing in front of the training building and talking to an old man who might be the building’s owner.

At the time, I was concerned about my father, but I was also concerned about myself, who might never see that charming wolf again if my father changed his mind. It was difficult for me to leave Eden Spring. If I did that, I’d have to go through my parents, which is impossible for me.

Gathering my courage, I asked my father again, my lips trembling as I spit out my words, hoping that this time he would answer my question rather than scold me.

“Are we going home now, Dad?” I asked, stuttering.

“No, we are not leaving!” My father responded and his tone was irritated; he then averted his gaze from Luna Mira and looked at me solemnly.

“You must remain here and show those Lycans that you are superior to them” He gave the order, emphasizing each word in the sentence he spoke.

“Do me proud, Elora! Don’t make me regret choosing your mother as the Omega to bear my descendant” My father said.

My heart was broken when I heard what my father said about my mother; he seemed to blame my mother for all of my failures that I had not even committed, and what surprised me the most was that my father was using me as ego gratification without realizing it.

His rage toward Luna Mira harmed more than just me and my mother. It also harmed the pack because the war a few years ago made Red-Blood despised throughout the country.

Because of this, our city has not accepted outsiders until now, and no other pack has dared to cross Eden Spring.

I nodded and obeyed my father’s orders because I knew my goal in coming here was to get my wolf form, not to make friends, let alone find a mate in such a strange place.

“All right, darling, let’s go!” My father got out of the car and opened the door. I followed him out of the vehicle.

The old man unexpectedly noticed our presence as soon as we both got out of the car. The old man who had been talking to Luna Mira abruptly ended his conversation and approached us who were still standing outside the car.

“Alpha Adrian, finally” The old man immediately shook my father’s hand with a huge smile on his face, he seem relieved to see us coming.

“I’ve been waiting for you since the morning” The old man explained.

“Thank you, my friend... I appreciate that!” After shaking the old man’s hand, my father arrogantly shrugged his shoulders and held both sides of his suit. His head was in the clouds when the old man greeted him instead of continuing his conversation with Luna Mira.

  “The future Queen of Red-Blood...”

The old gentleman bowed to me and paid my respects. He kissed my hand, which surprised me; my eyes bulged, I was speechless and my mouth half-opened to express how surprised I was.

His behavior caused my father’s head to soar as high as the sky and his arrogance made him forget that we were nothing without the family treasure we had.

The old man who just greeted us turned out to be my father’s colleague and the owner of this training center; my father has been the largest supplier of funds since ten years ago, so this old man respects my father even though we are not Lycans.

“I was overjoyed to learn that you had sent your daughter to this facility” With a smile on his face, the old man stated that he was delighted to see us.

“How are you and your family doing, Alpha Adrian?” He inquired.

“We’re fantastic! My wife was unable to attend due to prior commitments...” My father responded by pretending to be pleased to see my mother; he is such a good liar.

“I can’t wait to see your wife, Alpha Adrian! It’s too bad she couldn’t make it today” The sluggish old man’s face showed disappointment, but that didn’t take away his delight at our presence.

My father is a reliable liar and even though the lie was well-intentioned, it still bothered me a lot. He pretended to be delighted at the prospect of making Luna Mira regret leaving the man who is now an undefeated Alpha across the country.

The old man then led us, opening his arms and inviting us to take a step. Surprisingly, the old man led my father and me to Luna Mira and her charming son, who was still standing where they were.

The atmosphere became tense, the smiles and laughter that had enveloped this place instantly turned into a cold empty place, my father with fire in his eyes stared into the eyes of Luna Mira who was looking at him with hatred, the hatred was clearly etched in Luna Mira’s eyes but not the charming teen wolf who stood up beside her.

He smiled when he noticed my presence and made a friendly first impression, his sweet lips formed a crescent moon and it almost hypnotized me to return that smile, but I remained awake and chose to protect my father’s feelings, I didn’t want to disappoint him and make him blame my mother for what I did.

“Alpha Adrian, this is Luna Mira, you must be familiar with her”

The old man introduced us to Luna Mira and he had no idea that our families knew each other; it’s been a closely guarded secret that our families are linked to each other because of past love; no one in the country knows about us except the one itself.

As the old man introduced us to Luna Mira and her son, my neck straightened and my eyes shifted forward.

I avoided that charming Lycan and looked at the old man in front of me, but every now and then I set my sights on the charming guy who frequently appears in my dreams and turned when he fixed his gaze on me, he seemed to realize that I was watching him.

“Of course, I recognize them! It’s good to see you again, Her Highness…”

My father bowed as if paying homage to the leader of the strongest Lycan pack in this land, but in reality, he was insulting Luna Mira.

“Who hasn’t heard of them? Wouldn’t that be my shame if I don’t know Luna Mira? ”
