Am Tired....

"You telling me, you're going to work in the castle,as a maid!!" Martha asked while emphasizing the last word, "Yess", Kylie replied in frustration, "Does mum know?asked Martha again

"Pff..yet she's the one who forced me!!"Kylie threw the pillow she was holding across the room,

"come down,you wouldn't want me thinking you lost your mind"Martha exclaimed.

Martha is Kylie's younger cousin and is ten years younger than her while Kylie is twenty years.

"Sigh....am sorry ,am just ...tired"Kylie frustrated,

"it's okay ,you know am here right?you're the only sister i have and nothing can change that,right now i just pray papa recovers but Kylie....tell me is he really getting better?"Martha asked with her eyes teary.

"Of course he is ,don't worry ,okay"Kylie hugged Martha and stroked her back gently,

"i miss him Kylie",

"There there,once I go to the castle...I'll make sure to earn enough money for his treatment"said Kylie,

One hearing the last statement, Martha pulled away from Kylie's hold ,"What do you mean ? i thought you didn't want to go!"

"I have no option Martha,its the only way we can get the amount of money needed for his sugery" Kylie replied with a saddened face ,"How about the rumours people keep talking about?"Martha asked with furrowed eye brows,"Mum said its all nonsense !may be she's right"Kylie replied,

"Are you sure ?coz teachers told us the story of the night creatures ,that they truely exist but lay low not to attract alot of attention"Martha explained,

"Really??how do they look like?most of the books I read about them say they're extremely alluring creatures but also very dangerous.."Kylie added,

"Am not sure coz i've never seen one myself but i suppose they are quite beautiful creatures ...but it is said that their attractive features is just to disguise the monsters within them "Martha then got her notebook in which she had written down something,

"This is a story i wrote down ,actually my favourite teacher told me everything i wanted to know,its about a war between the super natural beings and how got hold of the power to rule the earth ,do you wanna hear it?..that's if your interested"Martha looked at Kylie as if to verify her answer,

"Of course i want to hear it,now tell mi!"Kylie requested,

"Okay then,it all began when;

"Lucia!!Luciaa!!! where are you my child? ohh...where could this stubborn lady be? I told her to wait for me while i go fetch something to eat,now she's no where to be seen .... Sigh...am tired...does she not really care about putting herself and her baby in danger...."Grandma Becky stressed out .

Just as she grabbed her cloak heading out to look for Lucia,someone called out her name,

"Grandma you're back, i just went ...."

"No! no! noo.. Lucia!! what did i tell you about carrying heavy stuff? it's not good for the baby" Hellen yelled,

"Grandma its just firewood ,i thought you needed it to prepare dinner,so i suggested why not fetch some for you"Lucia said with a broad smile,

"I appreciate it my dear but i prefer you consider yourself first,you need the at most attention,now come!do you want to help me make your favourite soup,this time i have bought all the ingredients....

With that the two spent time making dinner ,chatting and cracking chokes,life was that simple....

Grandma Becky was the person who helped Lucia and took her in as a grand daughter when she was homeless since she also longed for the opportunity to raise a family of her own.

Hellen was a witch by birth and ofcourse she possessed magic powers but because of her old age ,some of her powers were inactive.

The active ones were mainly healing which she used to treat Lucia and the other was to fore see things in the future just like a prophetess.

A month later,Lucia was outside practising some of her fighting skills,

"Wow! my child,your belly's growing bigger by the day"Grandma Becky commented.

"And its a huge problemfor me,I can't even train properly!! "Lucia stressed out.

"Don't blame it ,it's tryna create enough space in there,do you think being in an enclosed space is any fun ?" ofcourse Grandma supported the unborn,Lucia just gave her a hard glare ,

"Anyway have you discovered the gender of the child yet?" Grandma asked only see the lady halt for a second ,

"It's a boy"Lucia replied with great assurance then continued her training,"What makes you so sure? what if its a girl",

Lucia halted abit, this time she was panting hard due to the vigorous training,

"Am... certain it's a boy" she replied confidently,

"So you don't want to go for scanning? what if the baby has another head growing from the other...hahahaa"Grandma laughed at her last line,

"Don't be insane grandma!!"Lucia exclaimed.

Grandma looked at her with a pitiful expression giving her no choice but to agree ,"fine i'll scan but am definite it's a boy...

"Knock!knock!" the door bell was heard interrupting the story.....

"I think Mum's home,let's go check"Kylie suggested,so the girls ran down stairs to answer the door,

On reaching,they heard to voices coming from outside,one of course was for aunt Hellen

and the other.....sounded familier...Uncle Will Chung !!!....Papa!!!!!

Both the two girls rushed for the door handle , they both jumped like hungry lions and hugged their 'Papa'...

Mr. Will was caught off gaurd,the way his two daughters jumped on him ,he felt like he was going to get a heart attack!

"eeeeeeeeyyyy!! be careful you two ,can't you see he's still unwell!" Mrs. Chung also known as Becky scolded the two,

"Easy honey,am perfectly fine,can't you see?"Will smiled ever so gently, that smile ....they missed seeing that smile for like five years ...

"Papa, were you discharged from the hospital?are you finally cured?" Martha asked.....
